Nakon što je njihov prethodni brod uništen u oluji, Beatrice, supruga američkog vojskovođe Georgea Pattona je 1939. (još dok joj je suprug bio u bolnici gdje je završio nakon brodoloma), naručila kod Johna Aldena koji je u to vrijeme slovio za "najpoznatijeg brodskog arhitekta na svijetu" izradu nove jahte. Želja Pattonovih je bila da njome plove oko svijeta i to, po Pattonovim riječima "kada i ako se vratim iz rata".

Upravo ta izreka je i zaslužna za ime jahte: "When and If". Patton je preživio sve bitke Drugog svjetskog rata, ali želja da plovi na svom brodu mu se nije ispunila. Poginuo je, nekoliko mjeseci nakon završetka rata, od posljedica automobilske nesreće u Njemačkoj. "When and If" je promijenila nekoliko vlasnika i još uvijek plovi.

Nakon što je njihov prethodni brod uništen u oluji, Beatrice, supruga američkog vojskovođe Georgea Pattona je 1939. (još dok joj je suprug bio u bolnici gdje je završio nakon brodoloma), naručila kod Johna Aldena koji je u to vrijeme slovio za "najpoznatijeg brodskog arhitekta na svijetu" izradu nove jahte. Želja Pattonovih je bila da njome plove oko svijeta i to, po Pattonovim riječima "kada i ako se vratim iz rata".

Upravo ta izreka je i zaslužna za ime jahte: "When and If". Patton je preživio sve bitke Drugog svjetskog rata, ali želja da plovi na svom brodu mu se nije ispunila. Poginuo je, nekoliko mjeseci nakon završetka rata, od posljedica automobilske nesreće u Njemačkoj. "When and If" je promijenila nekoliko vlasnika i još uvijek plovi.

‘KAD I AKO‘Jahta slavnog američkog generala Georgea Pattona još uvijek plovi, evo kako je dobila neobično ime

Nakon što je njihov prethodni brod uništen u oluji, Beatrice, supruga američkog vojskovođe Georgea Pattona je 1939. (još dok joj je suprug bio u bolnici gdje je završio nakon brodoloma), naručila kod Johna Aldena koji je u to vrijeme slovio za "najpoznatijeg brodskog arhitekta na svijetu" izradu nove jahte. Želja Pattonovih je bila da njome plove oko svijeta i to, po Pattonovim riječima "kada i ako se vratim iz rata".

Upravo ta izreka je i zaslužna za ime jahte: "When and If". Patton je preživio sve bitke Drugog svjetskog rata, ali želja da plovi na svom brodu mu se nije ispunila. Poginuo je, nekoliko mjeseci nakon završetka rata, od posljedica automobilske nesreće u Njemačkoj. "When and If" je promijenila nekoliko vlasnika i još uvijek plovi.
