I dok Gruž ovih dana živi poseban san ispisujući povijest u Dubrovniku, polako će se već morati opraštati od domaće reprezentacije koja nakon današnjeg susreta protiv Crne Gore, odlazi put Zagreba. Hrvatska je po drugi put za redom, a treći ukupno domaćin Europskog prvenstva u vaterpolu, a ovaj turnir došao je neočekivano nakon što je odlučeno da se neće igrati u Izraelu zbog ratnog stanja u toj zemlji.

Tako su u Hrvatskom vaterpolskom savezu imali samo sedam tjedana za spremanje pozornice i šminkanje naših, pa ne baš tako dobrih i novih bazena, ali je European Aquatics (LEN) dao zeleno svijetlo, a Vlada Republike Hrvatske stala iza ovog novog projekta HVS-a. Niti dva mjeseca bila su dovoljna za osmisliti plan i spremiti sve „na dva fronta”. Koliko je to malo vremena, najlakše je predočiti da se za Euro 2022. u Spaladium Areni službeno odlučilo 2018., a za ono u Zagrebu 2010., dvije godine prije. Međutim, i to malo je bilo dovoljno da sve bude na vrhunskoj razini i da one koji su zasluženi za to, već nakon pet dana možemo smatrati pravim „čarobnjacima” na čiji račun trebaju dolaziti same pohvale. Sve je izglednije kako će ovo biti još jedan turnir o kojem će se pričati sami hvalospjevi kad je organizacija u pitanju, a nadamo se kako će i naša reprezentacija doći do trećeg odličja u Hrvatskoj.

Nešto nedostaje

Nekako se onda logično zapitati: kada će ovaj sport dobiti ono što zaslužuje i što mu je potrebno? Već treće Europsko prvenstvo ulaže se veliki novac i napori, a sve se to moglo smanjiti na neku lakšu razinu da u Lijepoj Našoj postoji zatvoreni kompleks u kojem bi se našao olimpijski bazen uz još barem jedan manjih dimenzija, i sve to pred nekih četiri tisuća mjesta na tribini.

U tom slučaju ne bi bilo tolike potrebe za postavljanje pomoćnih tribina, širenju kapaciteta, osmišljavanja načina kako ugurati još koje mjesto, jer interesa među publikom ima. Ovaj scenarij s postavljanjem montažnih tribina odnosi se na bazen na Mladosti koji će drugi put biti domaćin najboljim momčadima Europe, a na Savi se kapacitet i više nego udvostručio, jer se postojeći broj od 800 mjesta podigao na 2000.

Iz Saveza su za Gruž odlučili kako neće ići u ekspanziju s brojem mjesta za navijače, jer dubrovački bazen inače može primiti 2500 ljudi. Uostalom samo postavljanje metalnih skela kako bi se omogućio veći broj ljudi na bazenu, ne ostavlja ništa samom vaterpolu, a slična priča bila je i 2010. godine, kada se zapravo rodila ideja za ono spektakularno Prvenstvo u Spaladium Areni prije 15 mjeseci.

Naime, za to prvo „naše Euro” iz HVS-a su bili izračunali da je jeftinija varijanta bila prilagoditi Arenu Zagreb, nego dograditi plivalište na Mladosti. No, taj plan je propao nakon pokušaja dogovora s Gradom, Holdingom i Ingrom, vlasnikom Arene. Okrenuli su se zatim bazenu uz Savu, a za njegovo sređivanje bilo je osigurano osam milijuna kuna.

- Na žalost, vaterpolu ništa od tog Eura neće ostati. Niti se išta novo sagradilo, niti ćemo kupiti školjku koja bi ostala za neki budući vaterpolski dom kako je planirano – rekao je tadašnji predsjednik Saveza, Perica Bukić.

Kap po kap

Naravno da je poželjnije situacija da nešto od cijelog turnira i ostane za razvoj samog sporta, kao što su se primjerice one bazenske školjke iz Splita preselile u Zadar i Imotski. Ideja koja se rodila 2010., ali je realizirano godinama kasnije. No, uspjelo se. Sada doduše nije bilo vremena za nekakve takve „svemirske pothvate” pa se uređivalo što se moglo. I uistinu sve to izgleda spektakularno, jer nisu iz HVS-a krivi što se moraju zadovoljiti s bazenom iz osamdesetih koji je niknuo kad i većina sportskih objekata u glavnom našem gradu.

Naime, ono što su Mediteranske igre donijele Splitu 1979. godine, to je Univerzijada 1987. Zagrebu, pa između ostalog i sportski park Mladost. A u kakvom je stanju bazen u kojem se osim u Gružu organizira EP? Pa evo usporedbe. Kad je kišni dan, „na Savi” je kao i u Poljudu, pa ćete tako na nekoliko mjesta pronaći krpe i kante za te kapljice koje padaju sa stropa. I nikoga to nije ubilo ili ugrozilo, niti te kapi ekstremno narušavaju kvalitetu natjecanja, samo vas takav prizor navodi na razmišljanje. Zaslužuju li prvaci Europe ipak malo više? Zaslužuje li sport koji nam je dao toliko radosti i donio najsjajnije medalje s najvećih natjecanja, konačno svoj dom? Onaj bazen sa sredine priče na koji su možda neki rekli „ma da, malo sutra”. A tko zna, možda i bude „sutra”, nakon još jednog Europskog prvenstva. Možda je ovo "treća sreća".

I dok Gruž ovih dana živi poseban san ispisujući povijest u Dubrovniku, polako će se već morati opraštati od domaće reprezentacije koja nakon današnjeg susreta protiv Crne Gore, odlazi put Zagreba. Hrvatska je po drugi put za redom, a treći ukupno domaćin Europskog prvenstva u vaterpolu, a ovaj turnir došao je neočekivano nakon što je odlučeno da se neće igrati u Izraelu zbog ratnog stanja u toj zemlji.

Tako su u Hrvatskom vaterpolskom savezu imali samo sedam tjedana za spremanje pozornice i šminkanje naših, pa ne baš tako dobrih i novih bazena, ali je European Aquatics (LEN) dao zeleno svijetlo, a Vlada Republike Hrvatske stala iza ovog novog projekta HVS-a. Niti dva mjeseca bila su dovoljna za osmisliti plan i spremiti sve „na dva fronta”. Koliko je to malo vremena, najlakše je predočiti da se za Euro 2022. u Spaladium Areni službeno odlučilo 2018., a za ono u Zagrebu 2010., dvije godine prije. Međutim, i to malo je bilo dovoljno da sve bude na vrhunskoj razini i da one koji su zasluženi za to, već nakon pet dana možemo smatrati pravim „čarobnjacima” na čiji račun trebaju dolaziti same pohvale. Sve je izglednije kako će ovo biti još jedan turnir o kojem će se pričati sami hvalospjevi kad je organizacija u pitanju, a nadamo se kako će i naša reprezentacija doći do trećeg odličja u Hrvatskoj.

Nešto nedostaje

Nekako se onda logično zapitati: kada će ovaj sport dobiti ono što zaslužuje i što mu je potrebno? Već treće Europsko prvenstvo ulaže se veliki novac i napori, a sve se to moglo smanjiti na neku lakšu razinu da u Lijepoj Našoj postoji zatvoreni kompleks u kojem bi se našao olimpijski bazen uz još barem jedan manjih dimenzija, i sve to pred nekih četiri tisuća mjesta na tribini.

U tom slučaju ne bi bilo tolike potrebe za postavljanje pomoćnih tribina, širenju kapaciteta, osmišljavanja načina kako ugurati još koje mjesto, jer interesa među publikom ima. Ovaj scenarij s postavljanjem montažnih tribina odnosi se na bazen na Mladosti koji će drugi put biti domaćin najboljim momčadima Europe, a na Savi se kapacitet i više nego udvostručio, jer se postojeći broj od 800 mjesta podigao na 2000.

Iz Saveza su za Gruž odlučili kako neće ići u ekspanziju s brojem mjesta za navijače, jer dubrovački bazen inače može primiti 2500 ljudi. Uostalom samo postavljanje metalnih skela kako bi se omogućio veći broj ljudi na bazenu, ne ostavlja ništa samom vaterpolu, a slična priča bila je i 2010. godine, kada se zapravo rodila ideja za ono spektakularno Prvenstvo u Spaladium Areni prije 15 mjeseci.

Naime, za to prvo „naše Euro” iz HVS-a su bili izračunali da je jeftinija varijanta bila prilagoditi Arenu Zagreb, nego dograditi plivalište na Mladosti. No, taj plan je propao nakon pokušaja dogovora s Gradom, Holdingom i Ingrom, vlasnikom Arene. Okrenuli su se zatim bazenu uz Savu, a za njegovo sređivanje bilo je osigurano osam milijuna kuna.

- Na žalost, vaterpolu ništa od tog Eura neće ostati. Niti se išta novo sagradilo, niti ćemo kupiti školjku koja bi ostala za neki budući vaterpolski dom kako je planirano – rekao je tadašnji predsjednik Saveza, Perica Bukić.

Kap po kap

Naravno da je poželjnije situacija da nešto od cijelog turnira i ostane za razvoj samog sporta, kao što su se primjerice one bazenske školjke iz Splita preselile u Zadar i Imotski. Ideja koja se rodila 2010., ali je realizirano godinama kasnije. No, uspjelo se. Sada doduše nije bilo vremena za nekakve takve „svemirske pothvate” pa se uređivalo što se moglo. I uistinu sve to izgleda spektakularno, jer nisu iz HVS-a krivi što se moraju zadovoljiti s bazenom iz osamdesetih koji je niknuo kad i većina sportskih objekata u glavnom našem gradu.

Naime, ono što su Mediteranske igre donijele Splitu 1979. godine, to je Univerzijada 1987. Zagrebu, pa između ostalog i sportski park Mladost. A u kakvom je stanju bazen u kojem se osim u Gružu organizira EP? Pa evo usporedbe. Kad je kišni dan, „na Savi” je kao i u Poljudu, pa ćete tako na nekoliko mjesta pronaći krpe i kante za te kapljice koje padaju sa stropa. I nikoga to nije ubilo ili ugrozilo, niti te kapi ekstremno narušavaju kvalitetu natjecanja, samo vas takav prizor navodi na razmišljanje. Zaslužuju li prvaci Europe ipak malo više? Zaslužuje li sport koji nam je dao toliko radosti i donio najsjajnije medalje s najvećih natjecanja, konačno svoj dom? Onaj bazen sa sredine priče na koji su možda neki rekli „ma da, malo sutra”. A tko zna, možda i bude „sutra”, nakon još jednog Europskog prvenstva. Možda je ovo "treća sreća".
