Ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin tražio je ovog tjedna odgovore usred najgorih poplava u zemlji u proteklih nekoliko desetljeća, koje su dovele do evakuacije desetaka tisuća ljudi, a stigla je i dojava da je rudnik urana u regiji Kurgan poplavljen. Tijekom sastanka video vezom u srijedu o mjerama odgovora lokalnih vlasti na poplave, Putin je pitao vršiteljicu dužnosti gradonačelnice Kurgana Anastaziju Argiševu gdje je prethodna gradonačelnica.

Kada je doznao da je ona u siječnju dala ostavku, predložio je organiziranje izbora u regiji i poduzimanje "odgovarajućih mjera". Putin je, kako prenose ruski mediji bio "iznenađen", što prijašnja gradonačelnika Kurgana nije prisustvovala sastanku, piše Jutarnji list.

Strah od kontaminacije vode

Rusko područje Urala i susjedni sjeverni Kazahstan pretrpjeli su najgore poplave u posljednjih 80 godina zbog obilnih oborina i naglog topljenja velikih količina snijega koje je uslijedilo zbog temperatura viših od uobičajenih za ovo doba godine. Vlasti su posljednjih tjedana evakuirale desetke tisuća stanovnika iz Kurgana i Orenburga zbog porasta poplavnih voda.

Ruska istraživačka stranica Agentstvo izvijestila je u ponedjeljak da je rudnik urana Dobrovolnoje, koji se nalazi u selu Uksjanskoje u okrugu Zverinogolovski u regiji Kurganu, potopljen. Rudnikom, inače, upravlja podružnica državne nuklearne agencije Rosatom.

U izvješću RBC-a ne spominje se da je Putin posebno spominjao rudnik urana tijekom sastanka, a državna agencija za nuklearnu energiju Rosatom zanijekala je da je rudnik bio pogođen poplavom.

"Izvješća da se proizvodne bušotine nalaze u zoni poplave namjerna su dezinformacija", priopćila je u utorak agencija koja upravlja rudnikom državnoj novinskoj agenciji Tass.

Procjenjuje se da rudnik sadrži približno 7.077 tona urana. Ekolozi su za Agentstvo izjavili da strahuju da bi obližnja rijeka Tobol mogla biti kontaminirana uranom. Rijeka se koristi kao izvor pitke vode za stanovnike Kurgana.

Andrej Ozharovski, stručnjak za program sigurnosti radioaktivnog otpada Ruske socijalno-ekološke unije, rekao je istraživačima Agentstva da bi curenje urana iz rudnika Dobrovolnoje dovelo do povećanja koncentracije uranovih soli u rijeci Tobol, a to može kontaminirati vodu za piće.

Također je u intervjuu objavljenom u četvrtak rekao njemačkom mediju Deutsche Welle da su dijelovi rudnika urana "već pod vodom".

"Vađenje dijela ovih rezerve urana koji je već pod vodom započelo je 80-ih, u vrijeme Sovjetskog Saveza. Mnogo je starih bušotina urana jednostavno napušteno", rekao je Ozharovski. "Podzemni tlak diže otopine urana, a sam sam prije nekoliko godina izmjerio da je oko ovih bušotina sve veća razina zračenja".

Godine zabrinutosti

Agentstvo je priopćilo da su aktivisti za zaštitu okoliša u Kurganu godinama pozivali vlasti da zabrane rudarenje urana u tom području zbog straha da bi radioaktivna otopina mogla zagaditi podzemne vode i rijeku Tobol.

U srijedu je Aleksander Kurenkov, šef ruskog ministarstva za izvanredne situacije, rekao da su najveće poplave pogodile regiju Kurgan te da se poplavne vode približavaju obližnjoj regiji Tjumen.

"Zahvaljujući unaprijed isplaniranim i provedenim preventivnim mjerama, bilo je moguće izbjeći katastrofalne posljedice proljetne poplave", rekao je Kurenkov Putinu na sastanku.

"Vlada regije Kurgan dogovorila je pružanje financijske pomoći pogođenom stanovništvu. Do danas je podneseno više od 15.000 zahtjeva. Gotovo 1.500 ljudi dobilo je financijsku pomoć", dodao je Kurenkov.

Ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin tražio je ovog tjedna odgovore usred najgorih poplava u zemlji u proteklih nekoliko desetljeća, koje su dovele do evakuacije desetaka tisuća ljudi, a stigla je i dojava da je rudnik urana u regiji Kurgan poplavljen. Tijekom sastanka video vezom u srijedu o mjerama odgovora lokalnih vlasti na poplave, Putin je pitao vršiteljicu dužnosti gradonačelnice Kurgana Anastaziju Argiševu gdje je prethodna gradonačelnica.

Kada je doznao da je ona u siječnju dala ostavku, predložio je organiziranje izbora u regiji i poduzimanje "odgovarajućih mjera". Putin je, kako prenose ruski mediji bio "iznenađen", što prijašnja gradonačelnika Kurgana nije prisustvovala sastanku, piše Jutarnji list.

Strah od kontaminacije vode

Rusko područje Urala i susjedni sjeverni Kazahstan pretrpjeli su najgore poplave u posljednjih 80 godina zbog obilnih oborina i naglog topljenja velikih količina snijega koje je uslijedilo zbog temperatura viših od uobičajenih za ovo doba godine. Vlasti su posljednjih tjedana evakuirale desetke tisuća stanovnika iz Kurgana i Orenburga zbog porasta poplavnih voda.

Ruska istraživačka stranica Agentstvo izvijestila je u ponedjeljak da je rudnik urana Dobrovolnoje, koji se nalazi u selu Uksjanskoje u okrugu Zverinogolovski u regiji Kurganu, potopljen. Rudnikom, inače, upravlja podružnica državne nuklearne agencije Rosatom.

U izvješću RBC-a ne spominje se da je Putin posebno spominjao rudnik urana tijekom sastanka, a državna agencija za nuklearnu energiju Rosatom zanijekala je da je rudnik bio pogođen poplavom.

"Izvješća da se proizvodne bušotine nalaze u zoni poplave namjerna su dezinformacija", priopćila je u utorak agencija koja upravlja rudnikom državnoj novinskoj agenciji Tass.

Procjenjuje se da rudnik sadrži približno 7.077 tona urana. Ekolozi su za Agentstvo izjavili da strahuju da bi obližnja rijeka Tobol mogla biti kontaminirana uranom. Rijeka se koristi kao izvor pitke vode za stanovnike Kurgana.

Andrej Ozharovski, stručnjak za program sigurnosti radioaktivnog otpada Ruske socijalno-ekološke unije, rekao je istraživačima Agentstva da bi curenje urana iz rudnika Dobrovolnoje dovelo do povećanja koncentracije uranovih soli u rijeci Tobol, a to može kontaminirati vodu za piće.

Također je u intervjuu objavljenom u četvrtak rekao njemačkom mediju Deutsche Welle da su dijelovi rudnika urana "već pod vodom".

"Vađenje dijela ovih rezerve urana koji je već pod vodom započelo je 80-ih, u vrijeme Sovjetskog Saveza. Mnogo je starih bušotina urana jednostavno napušteno", rekao je Ozharovski. "Podzemni tlak diže otopine urana, a sam sam prije nekoliko godina izmjerio da je oko ovih bušotina sve veća razina zračenja".

Godine zabrinutosti

Agentstvo je priopćilo da su aktivisti za zaštitu okoliša u Kurganu godinama pozivali vlasti da zabrane rudarenje urana u tom području zbog straha da bi radioaktivna otopina mogla zagaditi podzemne vode i rijeku Tobol.

U srijedu je Aleksander Kurenkov, šef ruskog ministarstva za izvanredne situacije, rekao da su najveće poplave pogodile regiju Kurgan te da se poplavne vode približavaju obližnjoj regiji Tjumen.

"Zahvaljujući unaprijed isplaniranim i provedenim preventivnim mjerama, bilo je moguće izbjeći katastrofalne posljedice proljetne poplave", rekao je Kurenkov Putinu na sastanku.

"Vlada regije Kurgan dogovorila je pružanje financijske pomoći pogođenom stanovništvu. Do danas je podneseno više od 15.000 zahtjeva. Gotovo 1.500 ljudi dobilo je financijsku pomoć", dodao je Kurenkov.
