Papa Franjo u ponedjeljak je u Slovačkoj poručio da "središte Crkve nije Crkva" i pozvao je da bude "skromna poput Isusa". Ujedno je osudio holokaust u Slovačkoj, koji je ondje predvodio katolički svećenik, rekavši da je njime "obeščašćen Bog".
Franjo je u Slovačkoj ponovio svoje pozive da Crkva bude otvorenija svijetu i iskaže više zajedništva.
U bratislavskoj katedrali svetog Martina obratio se lokalnom svećenstvu koje se često ne slaže s njegovim pozivima da se Crkva reformira, prenosi agencija dpa.
„Središte Crkve nije Crkva“, kazao je Franjo svećenstvu pa pozvao da Crkva bude bliža „stvarnim životima ljudi“.
Papa je naglasio da Crkva mora biti simbol slobode i prihvaćanja i skromna poput Isusa koji je odbacio sve svjetovno i postao siromašan kako bi nas obogatio, piše Reuters.
Pozvao je svećenstvo da ne podlegne iskušenju raskošnog sjaja i svjetovne veličine.
"Crkva nije samodostatna uzdignuta tvrđava koja s visoka gleda na svijet", kazao je.
"Kako li je lijepa skromna Crkva koja se ne izolira od svijeta i ne gleda na život iz daljine, već živi u njemu", dodao je.
Holokaust je obeščastio Boga
Franjo je u Slovačku stigao nakon posjeta Mađarskoj, sastavši se u ponedjeljak ujutro s predsjednicom Zuzanom Čaputovom.
Potom se obratio i slovačkoj židovskoj zajednici, na bratislavskom trgu na kojem je nekoć stajala sinagoga koja je srušena za komunističke vladavine 1969. godine, kako bi se stvorio prostor za izgradnju mosta.
Na trgu je 1996. izgrađen spomenik u čast 105 tisuća žrtava holokausta iz Slovačke. Papa je ondje u ponedjeljak osudio sve oblike antisemitizma.
"Ovdje, na ovom mjestu, Božje ime je obeščašćeno", kazao je papa pred spomenikom žrtvama holokausta.
Tri dana prije Franjinog dolaska Bratislava se službeno ispričala za mračnu ostavštinu katoličkog svećenika Jozefa Tisa, čelnika marionetskog pronacističkog slovačkog režima koji je potpisao rasne zakone i odaslao desetke tisuća Židova u njemačke koncentracijske logore, piše agencija France Presse.
„U ludilu mržnje, tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata, ubijeno je više od stotinu tisuća slovačkih Židova. A tada, kad su se htjeli obrisati tragovi zajednice, uništena je sinagoga“, rekao je Papa.
„Ovdje, pred poviješću židovskog naroda, obilježenoj ovom tragičnom i neopisivom uvredom, stid nas je priznati: Koliko je puta neizrecivo ime Najvišeg iskorišteno za činove neizrecive nehumanosti! Koliko je ugnjetavača reklo da je Bog uz njih, no oni su bili daleko od Boga“, rekao je Franjo, ne spomenuvši izravno Josefa Tisu.
Slovački mediji dugo su kritični prema slovačkom svećenstvu koje se nikad nije izravno ogradilo od Tisa ili osudilo njegovo djelovanje, piše agencija dpa.
Prva Slovačka Republika, totalitarni satelit nacističke Njemačke, formirana je 1939. godine, a nakon rata je u njoj ostalo manje od 300 Židova.
Danas židovska zajednica u Slovačkoj broji oko dvije tisuće ljudi.

Papa Franjo u ponedjeljak je u Slovačkoj poručio da "središte Crkve nije Crkva" i pozvao je da bude "skromna poput Isusa". Ujedno je osudio holokaust u Slovačkoj, koji je ondje predvodio katolički svećenik, rekavši da je njime "obeščašćen Bog".
Franjo je u Slovačkoj ponovio svoje pozive da Crkva bude otvorenija svijetu i iskaže više zajedništva.
U bratislavskoj katedrali svetog Martina obratio se lokalnom svećenstvu koje se često ne slaže s njegovim pozivima da se Crkva reformira, prenosi agencija dpa.
„Središte Crkve nije Crkva“, kazao je Franjo svećenstvu pa pozvao da Crkva bude bliža „stvarnim životima ljudi“.
Papa je naglasio da Crkva mora biti simbol slobode i prihvaćanja i skromna poput Isusa koji je odbacio sve svjetovno i postao siromašan kako bi nas obogatio, piše Reuters.
Pozvao je svećenstvo da ne podlegne iskušenju raskošnog sjaja i svjetovne veličine.
"Crkva nije samodostatna uzdignuta tvrđava koja s visoka gleda na svijet", kazao je.
"Kako li je lijepa skromna Crkva koja se ne izolira od svijeta i ne gleda na život iz daljine, već živi u njemu", dodao je.
Holokaust je obeščastio Boga
Franjo je u Slovačku stigao nakon posjeta Mađarskoj, sastavši se u ponedjeljak ujutro s predsjednicom Zuzanom Čaputovom.
Potom se obratio i slovačkoj židovskoj zajednici, na bratislavskom trgu na kojem je nekoć stajala sinagoga koja je srušena za komunističke vladavine 1969. godine, kako bi se stvorio prostor za izgradnju mosta.
Na trgu je 1996. izgrađen spomenik u čast 105 tisuća žrtava holokausta iz Slovačke. Papa je ondje u ponedjeljak osudio sve oblike antisemitizma.
"Ovdje, na ovom mjestu, Božje ime je obeščašćeno", kazao je papa pred spomenikom žrtvama holokausta.
Tri dana prije Franjinog dolaska Bratislava se službeno ispričala za mračnu ostavštinu katoličkog svećenika Jozefa Tisa, čelnika marionetskog pronacističkog slovačkog režima koji je potpisao rasne zakone i odaslao desetke tisuća Židova u njemačke koncentracijske logore, piše agencija France Presse.
„U ludilu mržnje, tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata, ubijeno je više od stotinu tisuća slovačkih Židova. A tada, kad su se htjeli obrisati tragovi zajednice, uništena je sinagoga“, rekao je Papa.
„Ovdje, pred poviješću židovskog naroda, obilježenoj ovom tragičnom i neopisivom uvredom, stid nas je priznati: Koliko je puta neizrecivo ime Najvišeg iskorišteno za činove neizrecive nehumanosti! Koliko je ugnjetavača reklo da je Bog uz njih, no oni su bili daleko od Boga“, rekao je Franjo, ne spomenuvši izravno Josefa Tisu.
Slovački mediji dugo su kritični prema slovačkom svećenstvu koje se nikad nije izravno ogradilo od Tisa ili osudilo njegovo djelovanje, piše agencija dpa.
Prva Slovačka Republika, totalitarni satelit nacističke Njemačke, formirana je 1939. godine, a nakon rata je u njoj ostalo manje od 300 Židova.
Danas židovska zajednica u Slovačkoj broji oko dvije tisuće ljudi.
