Vladimir Putin je, pobivši konkurente i zapriječivši kandidature svim ozbiljnim političkim rivalima, još jednom "pobijedio" na još jednim apsolutno namještenim izborima.
Okrutan prema svim neistomišljenicima, a velikodušan prema sebi, ovaj put se odlučio počastiti brojkom od navodnih 87 posto osvojenih glasova, što je najveća pobjeda koju je ikad dosad namjestio sebi u korist. Valjalo je stvoriti privid široke potpore u ruskim masama kako bi mogao nastaviti svoj ukrajinski rat, a možda i započeti još koji pozivajući se na nepreglednu narodnu volju.
Bilo je u ruskoj povijesti despotskih blefera Putinova kalibra, ali nisu se ni izbliza toliko trudili ostaviti dojam demokratskog legitimiteta uz toliki stupanj represije, političkih ubojstava i čvrste ruke.
Josif Visarionovič Staljin također je uredno znao proglasiti kako je osvojio 90-ak, pa čak i 100 posto glasova svih Sovjeta, no istodobno je i otvoreno govorio da nikad nije važno tko glasa, nego tko broji glasove.
Sovjetski diktator bio je na vlasti u Moskvi tri desetljeća. Na izborima nikad nije imao čak ni formalnog protukandidata, za razliku od otužnog igrokaza koji Putin priređuje sa svojim lojalistima koji mu tobože konkuriraju. Svojom zadnjom pobjedom Putin se opasno primaknuo k skorom izbacivanju Staljina s pozicije ruskog vladara s najduljim stažem u povijesti. Preživi li do kraja mandata, zamijenit će ga na mjestu despotskog šampiona svih vremena.

Među današnjim diktatorskim karikaturama s kakvima se druži i među koje spada, Putin postaje sve sličniji sjevernokorejskom vođi Kim Jong Unu i po broju glasova kojima se kiti na izborima. Kim Jong Un naslijedio je oca kao "vrhovni vođa" Sjeverne Koreje 2011. godine, te je treći po generacijskom redu u obiteljskoj dinastiji Kim, koja vlada zemljom još od 1948.
Zemlja ima krajnje nadzirane i formalne izbore za parlamentarno tijelo na kojima je uvijek jedan kandidat, a odaziv obično iznosi 99,99 posto. Svaki kandidat u pravilu dobije 100 posto glasova u svojim izbornim jedinicama: Kim Jong Un takvu je apsolutnu narodnu potporu, do zadnjeg Sjevernokorejca, polučio 2014., ali i njegova sestra Kim Yo Jong 2019. godine.
U kolovozu 2020. bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko osvojio je 80 posto glasova na predsjedničkim izborima u Bjelorusiji. To je u tim vremenima bio standard u Rusiji i Putinovim satelitskim državicama, jer su tim postotkom barem teoretski dopuštali da ih oko 20 posto građana u zemlji ne voli. To odnedavno više nije dopušteno ni u Rusiji, a vjerojatno ni u Bjelorusiji: svi moraju voljeti voljenog vođu.

Lukašenko se, baš kao i Putin, brutalno obračunao sa svom opozicijom u zemlji. Zatvorio je oporbenog čelnika Sergeja Tihanovskog, muža Svjetlane Tihanovske, koja je, baš kao i Julija Navaljna, ubrzo iz inozemstva preuzela njegovu dužnost.
Pokrenuo je bjeloruski diktator i val masovnih prodemokratskih prosvjeda diljem zemlje, no onda ih je brutalno ugušio vojskom i tenkovima, te privođenjem svih koji pozivaju na njegovo svrgavanje. Lukašenko je na vlasti od 1994. i gotovo navlas slijedi despotski model svog uzora i moskovskog mentora Putina. Čak je i mijenjao zakone i ustav kako bi sebi omogućio doživotnu vlast.
U plejadu diktatorskih nakaza koje bi voljele figurirati kao demokrati spada i Bashar al-Assad, predsjednik Sirije. Na vlasti je od 2000. godine, kad je žezlo naslijedio od svog oca Hafeza al-Assada, koji je vladao prethodnih 30 godina.
Assad se također proslavio kiteći se posve neuvjerljivim i namještenim izbornim "pobjedama", koje su iznosile 89 posto 2014. i više od 95 posto 2021. godine.
Obje su "pobjede" tim spornije što su se dogodile tijekom razornoga građanskog rata, u kojem je Assad uz Putinovu vojnu pomoć slomio višestranačku opoziciju, ubivši stotine tisuća ljudi u sukobu koji je trajao više od desetljeća i iskorijenivši nepokorne manjine.

Zadnji razmetljivac koji zemljom vlada čvrstom rukom a htio bi ipak da svi misle kako ga sav narod voli predsjednik je Azerbajdžana Ilham Alijev. Prijatelj bivšeg hrvatskog predsjednika Stipe Mesića prošlog je mjeseca dobio (od samoga sebe i svojih izbornih tijela) čak 94 posto glasova na izborima u Južnom Kavkazu. Time je sebi osigurao peti mandat na čelu zemlje koja je rangirana kao jedna od najneslobodnijih na svijetu. Promatrači su raportirali da su izbori u Azerbajdžanu bili obilježeni oštrim napadima na oporbene aktiviste i kritičke novinare.

I egipatski predsjednik Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi osigurao je prošlog tjedna na izborima treći predsjednički mandat s osvojenih 89,6 posto biračkih glasova, i to usprkos inflaciji koja je u toj zemlji trenutno oko 40 posto.
Predsjednički izbori održani su u sjeni rata u Gazi i teške ekonomske krize, ali Al-Sissijeva pobjeda pored takvih trivijalnosti nije došla u pitanje. Prema egipatskom ustavu, to bi mu trebao biti posljednji mandat na čelu države, no primjeri Putina i Lukašenka svjedoče kako se ustavna ograničenja mogu uvijek promijeniti u korist biološke dobi diktatora.

"Nije bilo nikakvih kršenja ili neregularnosti koje bi okaljale izborni proces", ponosno je objavila egipatska izborna komisija. Al-Sissi je, kakva li iznenađenja, došao na vlast vojnim pučem. Vojska je pod njegovim vodstvom 2013. svrgnula Mohameda Morsija, demokratski izabranog predsjednika iz redova radikalnog islama. U Egiptu vladaju glad, nezaposlenost i manjak građanskih sloboda, ali jednako čvrsto vlada i Al-Sissi.

Vladimir Putin je, pobivši konkurente i zapriječivši kandidature svim ozbiljnim političkim rivalima, još jednom "pobijedio" na još jednim apsolutno namještenim izborima.
Okrutan prema svim neistomišljenicima, a velikodušan prema sebi, ovaj put se odlučio počastiti brojkom od navodnih 87 posto osvojenih glasova, što je najveća pobjeda koju je ikad dosad namjestio sebi u korist. Valjalo je stvoriti privid široke potpore u ruskim masama kako bi mogao nastaviti svoj ukrajinski rat, a možda i započeti još koji pozivajući se na nepreglednu narodnu volju.
Bilo je u ruskoj povijesti despotskih blefera Putinova kalibra, ali nisu se ni izbliza toliko trudili ostaviti dojam demokratskog legitimiteta uz toliki stupanj represije, političkih ubojstava i čvrste ruke.
Josif Visarionovič Staljin također je uredno znao proglasiti kako je osvojio 90-ak, pa čak i 100 posto glasova svih Sovjeta, no istodobno je i otvoreno govorio da nikad nije važno tko glasa, nego tko broji glasove.
Sovjetski diktator bio je na vlasti u Moskvi tri desetljeća. Na izborima nikad nije imao čak ni formalnog protukandidata, za razliku od otužnog igrokaza koji Putin priređuje sa svojim lojalistima koji mu tobože konkuriraju. Svojom zadnjom pobjedom Putin se opasno primaknuo k skorom izbacivanju Staljina s pozicije ruskog vladara s najduljim stažem u povijesti. Preživi li do kraja mandata, zamijenit će ga na mjestu despotskog šampiona svih vremena.

Među današnjim diktatorskim karikaturama s kakvima se druži i među koje spada, Putin postaje sve sličniji sjevernokorejskom vođi Kim Jong Unu i po broju glasova kojima se kiti na izborima. Kim Jong Un naslijedio je oca kao "vrhovni vođa" Sjeverne Koreje 2011. godine, te je treći po generacijskom redu u obiteljskoj dinastiji Kim, koja vlada zemljom još od 1948.
Zemlja ima krajnje nadzirane i formalne izbore za parlamentarno tijelo na kojima je uvijek jedan kandidat, a odaziv obično iznosi 99,99 posto. Svaki kandidat u pravilu dobije 100 posto glasova u svojim izbornim jedinicama: Kim Jong Un takvu je apsolutnu narodnu potporu, do zadnjeg Sjevernokorejca, polučio 2014., ali i njegova sestra Kim Yo Jong 2019. godine.
U kolovozu 2020. bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko osvojio je 80 posto glasova na predsjedničkim izborima u Bjelorusiji. To je u tim vremenima bio standard u Rusiji i Putinovim satelitskim državicama, jer su tim postotkom barem teoretski dopuštali da ih oko 20 posto građana u zemlji ne voli. To odnedavno više nije dopušteno ni u Rusiji, a vjerojatno ni u Bjelorusiji: svi moraju voljeti voljenog vođu.

Lukašenko se, baš kao i Putin, brutalno obračunao sa svom opozicijom u zemlji. Zatvorio je oporbenog čelnika Sergeja Tihanovskog, muža Svjetlane Tihanovske, koja je, baš kao i Julija Navaljna, ubrzo iz inozemstva preuzela njegovu dužnost.
Pokrenuo je bjeloruski diktator i val masovnih prodemokratskih prosvjeda diljem zemlje, no onda ih je brutalno ugušio vojskom i tenkovima, te privođenjem svih koji pozivaju na njegovo svrgavanje. Lukašenko je na vlasti od 1994. i gotovo navlas slijedi despotski model svog uzora i moskovskog mentora Putina. Čak je i mijenjao zakone i ustav kako bi sebi omogućio doživotnu vlast.
U plejadu diktatorskih nakaza koje bi voljele figurirati kao demokrati spada i Bashar al-Assad, predsjednik Sirije. Na vlasti je od 2000. godine, kad je žezlo naslijedio od svog oca Hafeza al-Assada, koji je vladao prethodnih 30 godina.
Assad se također proslavio kiteći se posve neuvjerljivim i namještenim izbornim "pobjedama", koje su iznosile 89 posto 2014. i više od 95 posto 2021. godine.
Obje su "pobjede" tim spornije što su se dogodile tijekom razornoga građanskog rata, u kojem je Assad uz Putinovu vojnu pomoć slomio višestranačku opoziciju, ubivši stotine tisuća ljudi u sukobu koji je trajao više od desetljeća i iskorijenivši nepokorne manjine.

Zadnji razmetljivac koji zemljom vlada čvrstom rukom a htio bi ipak da svi misle kako ga sav narod voli predsjednik je Azerbajdžana Ilham Alijev. Prijatelj bivšeg hrvatskog predsjednika Stipe Mesića prošlog je mjeseca dobio (od samoga sebe i svojih izbornih tijela) čak 94 posto glasova na izborima u Južnom Kavkazu. Time je sebi osigurao peti mandat na čelu zemlje koja je rangirana kao jedna od najneslobodnijih na svijetu. Promatrači su raportirali da su izbori u Azerbajdžanu bili obilježeni oštrim napadima na oporbene aktiviste i kritičke novinare.

I egipatski predsjednik Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi osigurao je prošlog tjedna na izborima treći predsjednički mandat s osvojenih 89,6 posto biračkih glasova, i to usprkos inflaciji koja je u toj zemlji trenutno oko 40 posto.
Predsjednički izbori održani su u sjeni rata u Gazi i teške ekonomske krize, ali Al-Sissijeva pobjeda pored takvih trivijalnosti nije došla u pitanje. Prema egipatskom ustavu, to bi mu trebao biti posljednji mandat na čelu države, no primjeri Putina i Lukašenka svjedoče kako se ustavna ograničenja mogu uvijek promijeniti u korist biološke dobi diktatora.

"Nije bilo nikakvih kršenja ili neregularnosti koje bi okaljale izborni proces", ponosno je objavila egipatska izborna komisija. Al-Sissi je, kakva li iznenađenja, došao na vlast vojnim pučem. Vojska je pod njegovim vodstvom 2013. svrgnula Mohameda Morsija, demokratski izabranog predsjednika iz redova radikalnog islama.
