„Veliko povečerje" je posebno i po tomee što Vojni orkestar Bundeswehra tijekom te ceremonije svira i neke pjesme koje biraju one osobe od kojih se oprašta. Već neko vrijeme su poznate glazbene želje Angele Merkel. I te glazbene želje već neko vrijeme kod njemačkih građana izazivaju i određene reakcije – uglavnom odobravanje i pokoji osmijeh. Zašto?
Osim ekumenske crkvene pjesme „Tebe, Bože, hvalimo" ("Großer Gott, wir loben dich") kancelarka u odlasku je poželjela i pjesmu Hildegard Knef "Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen" („Nek‘ za mene padaju kiše crvenih ruža").
A u prvoj strofi te pjesme Knef kaže:
"Mit 16, sagte ich still
Ich will, will alles oder nichts."
(„Sa 16 rekla sam tiho
Želim, želim sve ili ništa.”)

A na kraju, nakon što je u svom životu postigla puno toga, Angela Merkel je 16 godina bila najmoćnija žena u Njemačkoj, prva žena na dužnosti njemačke kancelarke, žena koja je diljem svijeta bila priznata i poštivana, na kraju pjesme se kaže:
"Kann mich nicht begnügen

Angela Merkel odlazi u političku mirovinu. Ali, sudeći na temelju tih stihova, ova 67-godišnjakinja ima u svom životu itekako neke nove želje i snove koje želi ispuniti. Malo sve to zvuči prkosno, jedna strana kancelarkinog karaktera koju se do sada nije baš vezalo uz njezin lik i djelo.
I druga pjesma koju je izabrala Angela Merkel kaže dosta o njoj: to je jedan stari hit iz DDR-a, koji pjeva Nina Hagen: "Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen" („Zaboravio/la si film u boji"). Nina Hagen je već u Istočnoj Njemačkoj bila na glasu kao drska pop-mangupica, a nakon što je otišla u Zapadnu Njemačku, postala je ikona punka.
I Angela Merkel potječe iz bivšeg DDR-a, iz Templina, gradića u saveznoj pokrajini Brandenburg. Ona je odrasla uz pjesmu Nine Hagen, „Farbfilm" je nastao 1974. Tekst pjesme navodno još uvijek napamet zna svaka druga osoba s istoka Njemačke. Posebno je zanimljiv stih "Nun glaubt uns kein Mensch, wie schön's hier war, ha ha" („Nitko nam sad ne vjeruje kako je ovdje bilo lijepo, ha ha"). Mrvica „ostalgije", čežnje za starim vremenima u DDR-u? Možda kancelarka na taj način samo demonstrira svoj rafinirani smisao za humor.
A možda se radi o svojevrsnoj staračkoj "blagosti” na temelju velikog iskustva. Prije 30 godina je naime Merkel, tada kao ministrica za žene i mlade, susrela Ninu Hagen – u jednom talkshowu. Tijekom diskusije o ovisnosti o drogama, Hagen je tada Merkel u lice rekla: „Dosta mi je Vaših laži, Vašeg licemjerja.” To joj je Merkel u međuvremenu očito oprostila…
Veliko povečerje je ceremonija kojom se tradicionalno oprašta od saveznih kancelara i kancelarki, saveznih predsjednika, odnosno saveznih ministrica i ministara obrane. To je tradicija čiji korijeni sežu u 16. stoljeće. Tada se u vojnim kampovima u večernjima satima dobrano bančilo i kockalo. I zato se uvelo jasan i glasan signal kojim bi se označio početak noćnog mira.
Jedan časnik, odnosno vodnik bi krenuo u obilazak kampa u pratnji bubnjara i zviždača, te svojom palicom ili sabljom udarao čepove bačava s alkoholnim pićem. Stara njemačka riječ za „Schlag" („udarac") je „Streich". A nakon tog signala u vojnom kampu bi zavladao mir, više se nije smjelo točiti pivo, rakiju ili vino. A svi oni koji se toga nisu držali, morali su računati s ozbiljnim sankcijama.
Sporna ceremonija
„Zapfenstreich" se s vremenom tijekom proteklih stoljeća razvijao u ceremoniju u onom obliku u kojem se danas održava. Ali to je ceremonija koja je i – sporna. Na primjer nedavno „Veliko povečerje” za njemačke vojnikinje i vojnike nakon njihovog povratka iz Afganistana. Bakljada i stotine svjetlucavih borbenih kaciga ispred zgrade Reichstaga podsjećaju na postrojavanja nacionalsocijalista, tvrde kritičari.

Za malu dozu opuštenosti tijekom te ceremonije pobrinu se redovito glavni protagonisti, i to izborom pjesama koje se odsvira tijekom svečanosti. Bivši ministar obrane Thomas de Maiziere se tako odlučio za hit "Life is Life" koji se obično ne nalazi na playlisti Velikog povečerja, već više na zabavama na popularnim party-lokacijama u Alpama ili na Mediteranu.
Bilo je dosta kritika i na izbor bivšeg kancelara Gerharda Schrödera zbog njegove želje da se odsvira Sinatrin klasik "My Way". Najpopularniji izbor njemačkih političara u odlasku je, čini se, himna Europske unije „Oda radosti”, skladatelja Ludwiga van Beethovena. Ona se već tri puta našla na playlisti, između ostaloga i kod bivše ministrice obrane Ursule von der Leyen, koja je iz Berlina preselila u Bruxelles, gdje obnaša dužnost šefice Europske komisije.

„Veliko povečerje" je posebno i po tomee što Vojni orkestar Bundeswehra tijekom te ceremonije svira i neke pjesme koje biraju one osobe od kojih se oprašta. Već neko vrijeme su poznate glazbene želje Angele Merkel. I te glazbene želje već neko vrijeme kod njemačkih građana izazivaju i određene reakcije – uglavnom odobravanje i pokoji osmijeh. Zašto?
Osim ekumenske crkvene pjesme „Tebe, Bože, hvalimo" ("Großer Gott, wir loben dich") kancelarka u odlasku je poželjela i pjesmu Hildegard Knef "Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen" („Nek‘ za mene padaju kiše crvenih ruža").
A u prvoj strofi te pjesme Knef kaže:
"Mit 16, sagte ich still
Ich will, will alles oder nichts."
(„Sa 16 rekla sam tiho
Želim, želim sve ili ništa.”)

A na kraju, nakon što je u svom životu postigla puno toga, Angela Merkel je 16 godina bila najmoćnija žena u Njemačkoj, prva žena na dužnosti njemačke kancelarke, žena koja je diljem svijeta bila priznata i poštivana, na kraju pjesme se kaže:
"Kann mich nicht begnügen

Angela Merkel odlazi u političku mirovinu. Ali, sudeći na temelju tih stihova, ova 67-godišnjakinja ima u svom životu itekako neke nove želje i snove koje želi ispuniti. Malo sve to zvuči prkosno, jedna strana kancelarkinog karaktera koju se do sada nije baš vezalo uz njezin lik i djelo.
I druga pjesma koju je izabrala Angela Merkel kaže dosta o njoj: to je jedan stari hit iz DDR-a, koji pjeva Nina Hagen: "Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen" („Zaboravio/la si film u boji"). Nina Hagen je već u Istočnoj Njemačkoj bila na glasu kao drska pop-mangupica, a nakon što je otišla u Zapadnu Njemačku, postala je ikona punka.
I Angela Merkel potječe iz bivšeg DDR-a, iz Templina, gradića u saveznoj pokrajini Brandenburg. Ona je odrasla uz pjesmu Nine Hagen, „Farbfilm" je nastao 1974. Tekst pjesme navodno još uvijek napamet zna svaka druga osoba s istoka Njemačke. Posebno je zanimljiv stih "Nun glaubt uns kein Mensch, wie schön's hier war, ha ha" („Nitko nam sad ne vjeruje kako je ovdje bilo lijepo, ha ha"). Mrvica „ostalgije", čežnje za starim vremenima u DDR-u? Možda kancelarka na taj način samo demonstrira svoj rafinirani smisao za humor.
A možda se radi o svojevrsnoj staračkoj "blagosti” na temelju velikog iskustva. Prije 30 godina je naime Merkel, tada kao ministrica za žene i mlade, susrela Ninu Hagen – u jednom talkshowu. Tijekom diskusije o ovisnosti o drogama, Hagen je tada Merkel u lice rekla: „Dosta mi je Vaših laži, Vašeg licemjerja.” To joj je Merkel u međuvremenu očito oprostila…
Veliko povečerje je ceremonija kojom se tradicionalno oprašta od saveznih kancelara i kancelarki, saveznih predsjednika, odnosno saveznih ministrica i ministara obrane. To je tradicija čiji korijeni sežu u 16. stoljeće. Tada se u vojnim kampovima u večernjima satima dobrano bančilo i kockalo. I zato se uvelo jasan i glasan signal kojim bi se označio početak noćnog mira.
Jedan časnik, odnosno vodnik bi krenuo u obilazak kampa u pratnji bubnjara i zviždača, te svojom palicom ili sabljom udarao čepove bačava s alkoholnim pićem. Stara njemačka riječ za „Schlag" („udarac") je „Streich". A nakon tog signala u vojnom kampu bi zavladao mir, više se nije smjelo točiti pivo, rakiju ili vino. A svi oni koji se toga nisu držali, morali su računati s ozbiljnim sankcijama.
Sporna ceremonija
„Zapfenstreich" se s vremenom tijekom proteklih stoljeća razvijao u ceremoniju u onom obliku u kojem se danas održava. Ali to je ceremonija koja je i – sporna. Na primjer nedavno „Veliko povečerje” za njemačke vojnikinje i vojnike nakon njihovog povratka iz Afganistana. Bakljada i stotine svjetlucavih borbenih kaciga ispred zgrade Reichstaga podsjećaju na postrojavanja nacionalsocijalista, tvrde kritičari.

Za malu dozu opuštenosti tijekom te ceremonije pobrinu se redovito glavni protagonisti, i to izborom pjesama koje se odsvira tijekom svečanosti. Bivši ministar obrane Thomas de Maiziere se tako odlučio za hit "Life is Life" koji se obično ne nalazi na playlisti Velikog povečerja, već više na zabavama na popularnim party-lokacijama u Alpama ili na Mediteranu.
Bilo je dosta kritika i na izbor bivšeg kancelara Gerharda Schrödera zbog njegove želje da se odsvira Sinatrin klasik "My Way". Najpopularniji izbor njemačkih političara u odlasku je, čini se, himna Europske unije „Oda radosti”, skladatelja Ludwiga van Beethovena. Ona se već tri puta našla na playlisti, između ostaloga i kod bivše ministrice obrane Ursule von der Leyen, koja je iz Berlina preselila u Bruxelles, gdje obnaša dužnost šefice Europske komisije.
