Kad neku regiju u razmaku od nekoliko dana posjete američki državni tajnik, predsjednikov savjetnik za nacionalnu sigurnost i direktor Središnje obavještajne agencije (CIA), svakome je jasno da je pred vratima ozbiljna kriza.

Egipat, Izrael i Palestinsku samoupravu posjetila su sva trojica u nadi da će smiriti tenzije koje prijete, kako neki navode, čak i novom intifadom, palestinskim ustankom.

Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken pozvao je u ponedjeljak Izrael i Palestince da smire napetosti narasle do usijanja nakon krvavih događaja u posljednjih nekoliko dana, iznova potvrdivši da je "vizija mira" jedini put naprijed. Ponovno je oštro osudio palestinski ubilački pohod na vjernike ispred sinagoge zbog čega je Izrael u stanju visoke pripravnosti, slavljenje tog krvoprolića, ali i pozive na osvetu, piše Jutarnji list.

U četvrtak je u Jeninu na Zapadnoj obali, u sukobima s izraelskim vojnicima, ubijeno devet Palestinaca, a 20 ih je ranjeno. Izrael je priopćio da je operacija u Jeninu izvedena u svrhu uhićenja pripadnika militantne skupine Islamski džihad. U petak je u palestinskom napadu na sinagogu u Istočnom Jeruzalemu ubijeno sedam židovskih civila, među kojima 14-godišnji dječak, dok ih je deset ranjeno. Sljedeći je dan u još jednom terorističkom napadu u Istočnom Jeruzalemu ranjeno dvoje Izraelaca. "Na svima je da poduzmu korake s ciljem smirivanja napetosti, umjesto da ih raspiruju", rekao je Blinken sletjevši u Izrael. Ubilački pohod u petak je "bio više od napada na pojedince. Bio je to također napad na sveopći čin prakticiranja nečije vjere. Najoštrije to osuđujemo", izjavio je Blinken. "Također osuđujemo one koji slave taj čin i ostale terorističke akcije u kojima stradavaju nevini, bez obzira na to tko je žrtva i u što vjeruje. Pozivi na osvetu protiv još više civila nisu odgovor", dodao je Blinken.

Reakcija EU bila je u istom tonu. Visoki predstavnik za vanjsku i sigurnosnu politiku Josep Borrell pozvao je Izrael da, osim u "krajnjoj nuždi", ne koristi smrtonosnu silu kao odgovor na palestinske napade. Borrell je dodao da je Unija zabrinuta rastom napetosti u Izraelu i na palestinskim područjima te poziva obje strane da učine sve što je moguće te primire trenutačno stanje i pokrenu koordinirane akcije kako bi se spriječili novi napadi i nasilje.

The Washington Post donosi interesantan detalj: "Kao odraz toga koliko je krug nasilja ukorijenjen u Svetoj zemlji, pokazalo se da je napadačeva djeda prije 25 godina navodno ubio židovski suprematist. Ideološki saveznici tih ekstremista sada su na vlasti u Izraelu".

Državni tajnik Blinken je u Kairu, prije dolaska u Izrael, ponovio kako SAD i dalje "čvrsto vjeruje da je rješenje s dvije države jedini put koji vodi prema trajnom rješenju izraelsko-palestinskog sukoba". Posljednja runda pregovora pod okriljem SAD-a o osnivanju palestinske države uz Izrael održana je 2014. godine. I tada je izraelski premijer bio Benjamin Netanyahu koji je pristao na neke teške palestinske uvjete, poput puštanja na slobodu osuđenih terorista, da bi palestinska strana konačno onemogućila dogovor. Blinken je tada bio zamjenik državnog tajnika Johna Kerryja. Središnji problem pregovora nepostojanje je jedinstvenih palestinskih pregovarača jer Hamas, koji kontrolira pojas Gaze, i Fatah, koji kontrolira Zapadnu obalu, ne nastupaju jedinstveno. Palestinsku samoupravu i dalje vodi Mahmud Abbas, izabran 2005. godine nakon čega izbori više nisu održani, piše Jutarnji list.

Tenzije, ubojstva, pa i sukobi Izraela i palestinske strane traju više od godinu dana dijelom i kao projekcija sukoba Islamske Republike Iran i vlade u Jeruzalemu: Teheran otvoreno podržava Hamas i Islamski džihad, terorističke organizacije. Izrael je u nedjelju besposadnom letjelicom napao iranska postrojenja u iranskom gradu Isfahanu.

Dodatni je problem nova vlada koju je formirao "vječni" Netanyahu, poznat i kao "Bibi", u kojoj su predstavnici radikalne desnice čija je politika protivljenje palestinskoj državnosti, pa čak i pregovorima s palestinskim korpusom. Dovoljno su snažni da mogu blokirati korake u smjeru smanjenja tenzija uz nastojanja da oduzmu sva prava Arapima.

Kad neku regiju u razmaku od nekoliko dana posjete američki državni tajnik, predsjednikov savjetnik za nacionalnu sigurnost i direktor Središnje obavještajne agencije (CIA), svakome je jasno da je pred vratima ozbiljna kriza.

Egipat, Izrael i Palestinsku samoupravu posjetila su sva trojica u nadi da će smiriti tenzije koje prijete, kako neki navode, čak i novom intifadom, palestinskim ustankom.

Američki državni tajnik Antony Blinken pozvao je u ponedjeljak Izrael i Palestince da smire napetosti narasle do usijanja nakon krvavih događaja u posljednjih nekoliko dana, iznova potvrdivši da je "vizija mira" jedini put naprijed. Ponovno je oštro osudio palestinski ubilački pohod na vjernike ispred sinagoge zbog čega je Izrael u stanju visoke pripravnosti, slavljenje tog krvoprolića, ali i pozive na osvetu, piše Jutarnji list.

U četvrtak je u Jeninu na Zapadnoj obali, u sukobima s izraelskim vojnicima, ubijeno devet Palestinaca, a 20 ih je ranjeno. Izrael je priopćio da je operacija u Jeninu izvedena u svrhu uhićenja pripadnika militantne skupine Islamski džihad. U petak je u palestinskom napadu na sinagogu u Istočnom Jeruzalemu ubijeno sedam židovskih civila, među kojima 14-godišnji dječak, dok ih je deset ranjeno. Sljedeći je dan u još jednom terorističkom napadu u Istočnom Jeruzalemu ranjeno dvoje Izraelaca. "Na svima je da poduzmu korake s ciljem smirivanja napetosti, umjesto da ih raspiruju", rekao je Blinken sletjevši u Izrael. Ubilački pohod u petak je "bio više od napada na pojedince. Bio je to također napad na sveopći čin prakticiranja nečije vjere. Najoštrije to osuđujemo", izjavio je Blinken. "Također osuđujemo one koji slave taj čin i ostale terorističke akcije u kojima stradavaju nevini, bez obzira na to tko je žrtva i u što vjeruje. Pozivi na osvetu protiv još više civila nisu odgovor", dodao je Blinken.

Reakcija EU bila je u istom tonu. Visoki predstavnik za vanjsku i sigurnosnu politiku Josep Borrell pozvao je Izrael da, osim u "krajnjoj nuždi", ne koristi smrtonosnu silu kao odgovor na palestinske napade. Borrell je dodao da je Unija zabrinuta rastom napetosti u Izraelu i na palestinskim područjima te poziva obje strane da učine sve što je moguće te primire trenutačno stanje i pokrenu koordinirane akcije kako bi se spriječili novi napadi i nasilje.

The Washington Post donosi interesantan detalj: "Kao odraz toga koliko je krug nasilja ukorijenjen u Svetoj zemlji, pokazalo se da je napadačeva djeda prije 25 godina navodno ubio židovski suprematist. Ideološki saveznici tih ekstremista sada su na vlasti u Izraelu".

Državni tajnik Blinken je u Kairu, prije dolaska u Izrael, ponovio kako SAD i dalje "čvrsto vjeruje da je rješenje s dvije države jedini put koji vodi prema trajnom rješenju izraelsko-palestinskog sukoba". Posljednja runda pregovora pod okriljem SAD-a o osnivanju palestinske države uz Izrael održana je 2014. godine. I tada je izraelski premijer bio Benjamin Netanyahu koji je pristao na neke teške palestinske uvjete, poput puštanja na slobodu osuđenih terorista, da bi palestinska strana konačno onemogućila dogovor. Blinken je tada bio zamjenik državnog tajnika Johna Kerryja. Središnji problem pregovora nepostojanje je jedinstvenih palestinskih pregovarača jer Hamas, koji kontrolira pojas Gaze, i Fatah, koji kontrolira Zapadnu obalu, ne nastupaju jedinstveno. Palestinsku samoupravu i dalje vodi Mahmud Abbas, izabran 2005. godine nakon čega izbori više nisu održani, piše Jutarnji list.

Tenzije, ubojstva, pa i sukobi Izraela i palestinske strane traju više od godinu dana dijelom i kao projekcija sukoba Islamske Republike Iran i vlade u Jeruzalemu: Teheran otvoreno podržava Hamas i Islamski džihad, terorističke organizacije. Izrael je u nedjelju besposadnom letjelicom napao iranska postrojenja u iranskom gradu Isfahanu.

Dodatni je problem nova vlada koju je formirao "vječni" Netanyahu, poznat i kao "Bibi", u kojoj su predstavnici radikalne desnice čija je politika protivljenje palestinskoj državnosti, pa čak i pregovorima s palestinskim korpusom. Dovoljno su snažni da mogu blokirati korake u smjeru smanjenja tenzija uz nastojanja da oduzmu sva prava Arapima.
