Francuski znanstvenici identificirali su novi virus u bolnici na rubu Pariza koristeći se istom tehnikom kakvom se otkriva koronavirus, no kažu kako nema razloga za zabrinutost da će izazvati sličnu zdravstvenu krizu. 

Virus je u otkriven u 58-godišnje žene koja je umrla od encefalitisa i nazvan je "Cristoli virus" po pariškom predgrađu Creteilu, gdje je identificiran.

Znanstvenici kažu je prerano za zaključke za što je taj virus odgovoran jer je pokojnica imala nekoliko bolesti.

"Radilo se o imunokompromitiranoj osobi, teško bolesnoj i prije pojave encefalitisa", rekao je profesor Jean-Michel Pawlotsky, šef medicinske biologije u bolnici Henri-Mondor u Creteilu, gdje je virus otkriven.

"U ovom nam je trenutku poznat samo taj jedan slučaju. Bude li ih u budućnosti više, naravno da ćemo imati jasniju predodžbu o tomu kakva je klinička slika povezana s tim virusom".

Profesor je pojasnio da je novi virus iz soja ortobunjavirusa, obitelji patogena koje obično šire komarci.

Otkriven je metagenomikom, tehnikom kojom su kineski znantvenici otkrili novi koronavirus. Na temelju uzorka tjelesnih tekućina ili tkiva, u ovom slučaju iz pacijentičina mozga, sekvencionira se bilo koji prisutan DNK. Znanstvencima ta medota omogućuje da odjednom identificiraju sve organizme u uzorku.

No osim metode, novi virus ima malo toga zajedničkog s uzročnikom aktualne pandemije.

"Ovo je nešto potpuno drugačije i, iskreno, ne znamo kako je pacijentica pokupila virus. Pretpostavljamo ubodom nekog insekta jer se takvi tipovi virusa tako šire, ali za to nemamo apsolutno nikakav dokaz", rekao je profesor Pawlotsky.

Otkriće još jednog novog virusa nedugo nakon koronavirusa zapravo je znak uznapredovalih metoda identifikacije, kažu stručnjaci, što bi u budućnosti moglo dovesti do otkrivanja većeg broja novih patogena.

"Činjenica da imamo nove viruse nije zabrinjavajuća, to je općenito priča o krugu života", rekao je šef virološkog odjela iste bolnice Christophe Rodriguez.

"Oduvijek postoje novi mikroorganizmi i novi virusi, samo ih ranije nismo uspijevali detektirati. Sada kad smo ih u stanju otkriti i sekvencionirati, možemo spriječiti njihovo potencijalno razbuktavanje i osmisliti načine kojima ćemo ih liječiti", naglasio je.

Francuski znanstvenici identificirali su novi virus u bolnici na rubu Pariza koristeći se istom tehnikom kakvom se otkriva koronavirus, no kažu kako nema razloga za zabrinutost da će izazvati sličnu zdravstvenu krizu. 

Virus je u otkriven u 58-godišnje žene koja je umrla od encefalitisa i nazvan je "Cristoli virus" po pariškom predgrađu Creteilu, gdje je identificiran.

Znanstvenici kažu je prerano za zaključke za što je taj virus odgovoran jer je pokojnica imala nekoliko bolesti.

"Radilo se o imunokompromitiranoj osobi, teško bolesnoj i prije pojave encefalitisa", rekao je profesor Jean-Michel Pawlotsky, šef medicinske biologije u bolnici Henri-Mondor u Creteilu, gdje je virus otkriven.

"U ovom nam je trenutku poznat samo taj jedan slučaju. Bude li ih u budućnosti više, naravno da ćemo imati jasniju predodžbu o tomu kakva je klinička slika povezana s tim virusom".

Profesor je pojasnio da je novi virus iz soja ortobunjavirusa, obitelji patogena koje obično šire komarci.

Otkriven je metagenomikom, tehnikom kojom su kineski znantvenici otkrili novi koronavirus. Na temelju uzorka tjelesnih tekućina ili tkiva, u ovom slučaju iz pacijentičina mozga, sekvencionira se bilo koji prisutan DNK. Znanstvencima ta medota omogućuje da odjednom identificiraju sve organizme u uzorku.

No osim metode, novi virus ima malo toga zajedničkog s uzročnikom aktualne pandemije.

"Ovo je nešto potpuno drugačije i, iskreno, ne znamo kako je pacijentica pokupila virus. Pretpostavljamo ubodom nekog insekta jer se takvi tipovi virusa tako šire, ali za to nemamo apsolutno nikakav dokaz", rekao je profesor Pawlotsky.

Otkriće još jednog novog virusa nedugo nakon koronavirusa zapravo je znak uznapredovalih metoda identifikacije, kažu stručnjaci, što bi u budućnosti moglo dovesti do otkrivanja većeg broja novih patogena.

"Činjenica da imamo nove viruse nije zabrinjavajuća, to je općenito priča o krugu života", rekao je šef virološkog odjela iste bolnice Christophe Rodriguez.

"Oduvijek postoje novi mikroorganizmi i novi virusi, samo ih ranije nismo uspijevali detektirati. Sada kad smo ih u stanju otkriti i sekvencionirati, možemo spriječiti njihovo potencijalno razbuktavanje i osmisliti načine kojima ćemo ih liječiti", naglasio je.

Francuski znanstvenici otkrili novi virus kod pacijentice u Parizu: Ovo je nešto potpuno drugačije, no nema straha da će izazvati krizu poput korone

Francuski znanstvenici identificirali su novi virus u bolnici na rubu Pariza koristeći se istom tehnikom kakvom se otkriva koronavirus, no kažu kako nema razloga za zabrinutost da će izazvati sličnu zdravstvenu krizu. 

Virus je u otkriven u 58-godišnje žene koja je umrla od encefalitisa i nazvan je "Cristoli virus" po pariškom predgrađu Creteilu, gdje je identificiran.

Znanstvenici kažu je prerano za zaključke za što je taj virus odgovoran jer je pokojnica imala nekoliko bolesti.

"Radilo se o imunokompromitiranoj osobi, teško bolesnoj i prije pojave encefalitisa", rekao je profesor Jean-Michel Pawlotsky, šef medicinske biologije u bolnici Henri-Mondor u Creteilu, gdje je virus otkriven.
