Vodeći EU trojac posjetio je Ukrajinu i ponudio joj brzopotezno članstvo u svom bloku, no svi se pitaju jesu li u Kijev 'eurooci' primarno išli zbog svojih strahova od galopirajuće recesije potaknute krizom naftnog tržišta, ili im je odista stalo do ove zemlje i pravednoga mira?

Talijanski premijer Mario Draghi, francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron i njemački kancelar Olaf Scholz javno su podržali sva nastojanja Kijeva za hitno pridruživanje europskoj obitelji: Rim, Pariz i Berlin su za to da se Ukrajini odmah dodijeli status službenoga kandidata. Riječ je, međutim, o onom istom trojcu koji se jako koleba oko dostave potrebne vojne pomoći ovoj zemlji. Kuloari javljaju kako su EU lideri za boravka u Kijevu očekivano pokušavali privoliti ukrajinsko političko vodstvo i na što skorije primirje, koje u sadašnjim uvjetima može biti samo ponižavajuće za napadnutu zemlju. Neke domaće analitičare sve je podsjetilo na svojedobni posjet Françoisa Mitterranda Sarajevu, kad se naivna domaća javnost bezrazložno ponadala skorom prestanku ratnih djelovanja a ona su zapravo tek eskalirala. Kolegu Željka Trkanjca iz Jutarnjeg lista sve je podsjetilo i na svojedobne imperativne mirovne pritiske na bošnjačkoga lidera Aliju Izetbegovića: 'Potpiši, Alija, makar je (država slobodna od okupatora) k'o avlija!'

Na našim se stranama jako dobro pamti da je trajni mir moguće izvojevati samo oružjem i promjenom odnosa snaga na bojištu. Volodimir Zelenski još možda nema puno ratnoga iskustva, ali sigurno već ima dovoljnu svijest o tome.

Hrvatskoj je svojedobno od JNA i velikosrpskih falangi bila zaposjednuta čak trećina teritorija, a Rusija (druga svjetska velesila) je u tri mjeseca rata u Ukrajini uspjela okupirati tek 20 posto državnoga tla. To dovoljno govori o njezinoj realnoj snazi: posrijedi je nekadašnja velesila koja se sve više pretvara u atomskoga verbalnog očajnika nalik na Sjevernu Koreju. Trenutni primarni problem napadnute strane je što nije u stanju parirati masovnoj topničkoj vatri ruskih snaga u istočnim dijelovima, no velikodušni bruxelleski donatori umjesto potrebnih cijevi harno joj nude stijeg sa državnom zastavom pred centralnim EU institucijama. A ta ponuda ne samo što je mrkva na dugom štapu, nego je i trapula s puno opasnih i neizvjesnih rukavaca.

Svih 27 država članica EU-a se sad mora odlučiti slažu li se s mišljenjem Komisije da Ukrajina u europsko društvo uđe preko reda. Ne treba ići daleko po zaključak da će se jedinstvo EU mišljenja već tu raspasti: i Zoran Milanović već se nekoliko puta deklarirao kao protivnik preskakanja procedure i zagovornik 'svete sebičnosti'. Ursula von der Leyen je već naglasila da će, čak i ako svi prihvate ukrajinski status kandidata, zemlja i dalje morati revno ispuniti niz kopenhaških kriterija prije pregovora o pristupanju, što znači da se sve može otegnuti i na desetak godina. Dotad Ukrajine može i nestati s zemljopisne karte, pa bi cinični poučak cijele priče glasio: zemlja ušla u EU, ali bez ljudi i teritorija. Ili: brisanjem s europske mape, konačno riješen dugogodišnji problem korupcije u Ukrajini.

Uvlačenje Ukrajine u duge i bolne pregovore s EU-om u trenutku kad je ova zemlja izložena brutalnoj i krvavoj agresiji, s milijunima raseljenih, tisućama ubijenih i desecima potpuno razorenih gradova, svakako nije najbolji način da se pomogne njoj, a ni sebi. Premda je ukrajinska kriza još prije 9 godina formalno otpočela proeuropskom pobunom protiv Viktora Janukoviča i njegova plana vezivanja zemlje s Rusijom, pa bi ulazak u EU jasno svrstao Ukrajinu u klub koji se smatra sastavnim dijelom zapadnoga saveza, pomoći joj da uspostavi vojni paritet s neprijateljem svakako bi bilo i prioritetnije i bolje ulaganje, čak i u europsku ekonomsku i plinsku budućnost.

Vodeći EU trojac posjetio je Ukrajinu i ponudio joj brzopotezno članstvo u svom bloku, no svi se pitaju jesu li u Kijev 'eurooci' primarno išli zbog svojih strahova od galopirajuće recesije potaknute krizom naftnog tržišta, ili im je odista stalo do ove zemlje i pravednoga mira?

Talijanski premijer Mario Draghi, francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron i njemački kancelar Olaf Scholz javno su podržali sva nastojanja Kijeva za hitno pridruživanje europskoj obitelji: Rim, Pariz i Berlin su za to da se Ukrajini odmah dodijeli status službenoga kandidata. Riječ je, međutim, o onom istom trojcu koji se jako koleba oko dostave potrebne vojne pomoći ovoj zemlji. Kuloari javljaju kako su EU lideri za boravka u Kijevu očekivano pokušavali privoliti ukrajinsko političko vodstvo i na što skorije primirje, koje u sadašnjim uvjetima može biti samo ponižavajuće za napadnutu zemlju. Neke domaće analitičare sve je podsjetilo na svojedobni posjet Françoisa Mitterranda Sarajevu, kad se naivna domaća javnost bezrazložno ponadala skorom prestanku ratnih djelovanja a ona su zapravo tek eskalirala. Kolegu Željka Trkanjca iz Jutarnjeg lista sve je podsjetilo i na svojedobne imperativne mirovne pritiske na bošnjačkoga lidera Aliju Izetbegovića: 'Potpiši, Alija, makar je (država slobodna od okupatora) k'o avlija!'

Na našim se stranama jako dobro pamti da je trajni mir moguće izvojevati samo oružjem i promjenom odnosa snaga na bojištu. Volodimir Zelenski još možda nema puno ratnoga iskustva, ali sigurno već ima dovoljnu svijest o tome.

Hrvatskoj je svojedobno od JNA i velikosrpskih falangi bila zaposjednuta čak trećina teritorija, a Rusija (druga svjetska velesila) je u tri mjeseca rata u Ukrajini uspjela okupirati tek 20 posto državnoga tla. To dovoljno govori o njezinoj realnoj snazi: posrijedi je nekadašnja velesila koja se sve više pretvara u atomskoga verbalnog očajnika nalik na Sjevernu Koreju. Trenutni primarni problem napadnute strane je što nije u stanju parirati masovnoj topničkoj vatri ruskih snaga u istočnim dijelovima, no velikodušni bruxelleski donatori umjesto potrebnih cijevi harno joj nude stijeg sa državnom zastavom pred centralnim EU institucijama. A ta ponuda ne samo što je mrkva na dugom štapu, nego je i trapula s puno opasnih i neizvjesnih rukavaca.

Svih 27 država članica EU-a se sad mora odlučiti slažu li se s mišljenjem Komisije da Ukrajina u europsko društvo uđe preko reda. Ne treba ići daleko po zaključak da će se jedinstvo EU mišljenja već tu raspasti: i Zoran Milanović već se nekoliko puta deklarirao kao protivnik preskakanja procedure i zagovornik 'svete sebičnosti'. Ursula von der Leyen je već naglasila da će, čak i ako svi prihvate ukrajinski status kandidata, zemlja i dalje morati revno ispuniti niz kopenhaških kriterija prije pregovora o pristupanju, što znači da se sve može otegnuti i na desetak godina. Dotad Ukrajine može i nestati s zemljopisne karte, pa bi cinični poučak cijele priče glasio: zemlja ušla u EU, ali bez ljudi i teritorija. Ili: brisanjem s europske mape, konačno riješen dugogodišnji problem korupcije u Ukrajini.

Uvlačenje Ukrajine u duge i bolne pregovore s EU-om u trenutku kad je ova zemlja izložena brutalnoj i krvavoj agresiji, s milijunima raseljenih, tisućama ubijenih i desecima potpuno razorenih gradova, svakako nije najbolji način da se pomogne njoj, a ni sebi. Premda je ukrajinska kriza još prije 9 godina formalno otpočela proeuropskom pobunom protiv Viktora Janukoviča i njegova plana vezivanja zemlje s Rusijom, pa bi ulazak u EU jasno svrstao Ukrajinu u klub koji se smatra sastavnim dijelom zapadnoga saveza, pomoći joj da uspostavi vojni paritet s neprijateljem svakako bi bilo i prioritetnije i bolje ulaganje, čak i u europsku ekonomsku i plinsku budućnost.
