Još jedan lijek pojavljuje se kao nova velika nada u smanjenju simptoma bolesti COVID-19 i skraćenju vremena oporavka.

Riječ je Aviganu, koji proizvodi japanska tvrtka “Fujifilm Toyama Chemical”, a koji je u velikim količinama upravo počela nabavljati i Njemačka.
Prije desetak dana kineski liječnici potvrdili su da se Avigan, poznat i po generičkom imenu Favipiravir, pokazao učinkovitim u terapiji njihovih bolesnika zaraženih koronavirusom. Službenik kineskog ministarstva znanosti i tehnologije Zhang Xinmin za japanski je lijek kazao da se pokazao izvrstan u kliničkim ispitivanjima u Wuhanu i Shenzhenu, u kojima je sudjelovalo 340 pacijenata.
Bolesnici koji su primili lijek postali su negativni na virus nakon četiri dana, za razliku od 11 dana za one koji ga nisu dobili. Osim toga, rendgenskim snimkama potvrđeno je poboljšanje stanja pluća u približno 91 posto bolesnika koji su liječeni Favipiravirom, u usporedbi sa 62 posto onih koji nisu primali lijek.

Prema pisanju Frankfurter Allgeimane Zeitunga Berlin trenutno nabavlja milijun paketa ovog lijeka koji će se koristiti za liječenje bolesnika sa težim simptomima bolesti.

Avigan je lijek koji je u Japanu odobren za zaustavljanje virusa gripe, a nakon dobrih rezultata iz kliničkih ispitivanja u Kini, znanstvenici vjeruju da bi mogao imati isti antivirusni učinak i na SARS-CoV-2, koji uzrokuje Covid-19. Dosadašnji klinički rezultati pokazuju da lijek skraćuje vrijeme oporavka.

Protuvirusni lijekovi zaustavljaju razmnožavanje virusa unutar ljudskog tijela. Čestice virusa nemaju složenu strukturu ljudskih ili životinjskih stanica koje im dopuštaju da stvaraju vlastitu energiju. Umjesto toga one inficiraju i ulaze u naše stanice. Kako se virus množi, infekcija se širi cijelim tijelom i preuzima domaćina.
Avigan je svojedobno iskušan i za liječenje ebole. Na miševima se činio učinkovit, ali na ljudima još nije dokazano. Ipak, ljudi oboljeli od ebole, liječeni ovim lijekom, osjećali su se bolje. Japanska je vlada 2016. isporučila Favipiravir kao hitnu pomoć za suzbijanje epidemije ebole u Gvineji.

Kako navodi Deccan Herald nakon prve faze ispitivanja, gdje se utvrđivalo je li lijek terapijski siguran te ispitivalo nuspojave, u drugoj fazi istraživanja testira se sigurnost i djelotvornost te određuju doze. Obično donošenje odluke o drugoj fazi traje godinama, ali je zbog pandemije i teške situacije lijekovima poput Avigana skraćen period na samo nekoliko mjeseci, možda i tjedana, kao što je učinio i američki FDA za neke druge lijekove.

Favipiravir bi trebao spriječiti širenje virusa na pluća. “Fujifilm” je već krenuo u povećanje proizvodnje početkom ožujka, a sad se lijek počinje distribuirati po svijetu.

Još jedan lijek pojavljuje se kao nova velika nada u smanjenju simptoma bolesti COVID-19 i skraćenju vremena oporavka.

Riječ je Aviganu, koji proizvodi japanska tvrtka “Fujifilm Toyama Chemical”, a koji je u velikim količinama upravo počela nabavljati i Njemačka.
Prije desetak dana kineski liječnici potvrdili su da se Avigan, poznat i po generičkom imenu Favipiravir, pokazao učinkovitim u terapiji njihovih bolesnika zaraženih koronavirusom. Službenik kineskog ministarstva znanosti i tehnologije Zhang Xinmin za japanski je lijek kazao da se pokazao izvrstan u kliničkim ispitivanjima u Wuhanu i Shenzhenu, u kojima je sudjelovalo 340 pacijenata.
Bolesnici koji su primili lijek postali su negativni na virus nakon četiri dana, za razliku od 11 dana za one koji ga nisu dobili. Osim toga, rendgenskim snimkama potvrđeno je poboljšanje stanja pluća u približno 91 posto bolesnika koji su liječeni Favipiravirom, u usporedbi sa 62 posto onih koji nisu primali lijek.

Prema pisanju Frankfurter Allgeimane Zeitunga Berlin trenutno nabavlja milijun paketa ovog lijeka koji će se koristiti za liječenje bolesnika sa težim simptomima bolesti.

Avigan je lijek koji je u Japanu odobren za zaustavljanje virusa gripe, a nakon dobrih rezultata iz kliničkih ispitivanja u Kini, znanstvenici vjeruju da bi mogao imati isti antivirusni učinak i na SARS-CoV-2, koji uzrokuje Covid-19. Dosadašnji klinički rezultati pokazuju da lijek skraćuje vrijeme oporavka.

Protuvirusni lijekovi zaustavljaju razmnožavanje virusa unutar ljudskog tijela. Čestice virusa nemaju složenu strukturu ljudskih ili životinjskih stanica koje im dopuštaju da stvaraju vlastitu energiju. Umjesto toga one inficiraju i ulaze u naše stanice. Kako se virus množi, infekcija se širi cijelim tijelom i preuzima domaćina.
Avigan je svojedobno iskušan i za liječenje ebole. Na miševima se činio učinkovit, ali na ljudima još nije dokazano. Ipak, ljudi oboljeli od ebole, liječeni ovim lijekom, osjećali su se bolje. Japanska je vlada 2016. isporučila Favipiravir kao hitnu pomoć za suzbijanje epidemije ebole u Gvineji.

Kako navodi Deccan Herald nakon prve faze ispitivanja, gdje se utvrđivalo je li lijek terapijski siguran te ispitivalo nuspojave, u drugoj fazi istraživanja testira se sigurnost i djelotvornost te određuju doze. Obično donošenje odluke o drugoj fazi traje godinama, ali je zbog pandemije i teške situacije lijekovima poput Avigana skraćen period na samo nekoliko mjeseci, možda i tjedana, kao što je učinio i američki FDA za neke druge lijekove.

Favipiravir bi trebao spriječiti širenje virusa na pluća. “Fujifilm” je već krenuo u povećanje proizvodnje početkom ožujka, a sad se lijek počinje distribuirati po svijetu.

Još jedan lijek pojavljuje se kao nova velika nada u smanjenju simptoma bolesti COVID-19 i skraćenju vremena oporavka.

Riječ je Aviganu, koji proizvodi japanska tvrtka “Fujifilm Toyama Chemical”, a koji je u velikim količinama upravo počela nabavljati i Njemačka.
Prije desetak dana kineski liječnici potvrdili su da se Avigan, poznat i po generičkom imenu Favipiravir, pokazao učinkovitim u terapiji njihovih bolesnika zaraženih koronavirusom. Službenik kineskog ministarstva znanosti i tehnologije Zhang Xinmin za japanski je lijek kazao da se pokazao izvrstan u kliničkim ispitivanjima u Wuhanu i Shenzhenu, u kojima je sudjelovalo 340 pacijenata.
Bolesnici koji su primili lijek postali su negativni na virus nakon četiri dana, za razliku od 11 dana za one koji ga nisu...
