Vrhunac krize s koronavirusom u SAD-u mogao bi se dogoditi ovaj tjedan, izjavio je u ponedjeljak vodeći zdravstveni stručnjak ukazujući na znakove stabilizacije stanja diljem zemlje.

"Ovog trena se približavamo vrhuncu krize. Znat ćete da smo na vrhuncu kada narednog dana bude manje slučajeva nego prethodnog", rekao je Robert Redfield, direktor Centra za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC).

SAD, najpogođenija zemlja virusom SARS-CoV-2 ima gotovo 558 tisuća oboljelih i više od 22.000 mrtvih, a posljednja četiri dana uzastopce je umiralo po 2000 ljudi, ponajviše u New Yorku i okolici grada.

Naputak da građani ostanu kod kuće već se tjednima poštiva, što je pomoglo obuzdavanju zaraze, no ta je mjera uzela danak kada se radi o gospodarstvu zemlje.

U nedjelju je administracija predsjednika Donalda Trumpa nagovijestila da bi do ublažavanja mjera moglo doći 1. svibnja, ali da je to još prerano reći.

Direktor CDC-a je odbio nagađati o vremenskom okviru vezanom uz pokretanje gospodarskih aktivnosti te je istaknuo da je socijalno distanciranje zauzdalo stopu smrtnosti.

"Bez sumnje, moramo otvoriti tvrtke kada za to bude vrijeme. Biti će to postupno, korak po korak i mora se temeljiti na podacima", poručio je Redfield.

Nancy Pelosi, predsjednica Zastupničkog doma, je također upozorila da zemlja još nije spremna za otvaranje.

"Svi želimo da se izolacija okonča kako bi se Amerikanci vratili na posao i u normalu", rekla je Pelosi i dodala da još uvijek nije provedeno dostatno testiranje građana.

Ovaj tjedan Kongres bi trebao donijeti nove mjere u cilju ublažavanja posljedica pandemije.

Demokrati traže više novca za male poduzetnike, ali i novac za hitno testiranje na nacionalnoj razini i za osobnu zaštitnu opremu.

Vrhunac krize s koronavirusom u SAD-u mogao bi se dogoditi ovaj tjedan, izjavio je u ponedjeljak vodeći zdravstveni stručnjak ukazujući na znakove stabilizacije stanja diljem zemlje.

"Ovog trena se približavamo vrhuncu krize. Znat ćete da smo na vrhuncu kada narednog dana bude manje slučajeva nego prethodnog", rekao je Robert Redfield, direktor Centra za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC).

SAD, najpogođenija zemlja virusom SARS-CoV-2 ima gotovo 558 tisuća oboljelih i više od 22.000 mrtvih, a posljednja četiri dana uzastopce je umiralo po 2000 ljudi, ponajviše u New Yorku i okolici grada.

Naputak da građani ostanu kod kuće već se tjednima poštiva, što je pomoglo obuzdavanju zaraze, no ta je mjera uzela danak kada se radi o gospodarstvu zemlje.

U nedjelju je administracija predsjednika Donalda Trumpa nagovijestila da bi do ublažavanja mjera moglo doći 1. svibnja, ali da je to još prerano reći.

Direktor CDC-a je odbio nagađati o vremenskom okviru vezanom uz pokretanje gospodarskih aktivnosti te je istaknuo da je socijalno distanciranje zauzdalo stopu smrtnosti.

"Bez sumnje, moramo otvoriti tvrtke kada za to bude vrijeme. Biti će to postupno, korak po korak i mora se temeljiti na podacima", poručio je Redfield.

Nancy Pelosi, predsjednica Zastupničkog doma, je također upozorila da zemlja još nije spremna za otvaranje.

"Svi želimo da se izolacija okonča kako bi se Amerikanci vratili na posao i u normalu", rekla je Pelosi i dodala da još uvijek nije provedeno dostatno testiranje građana.

Ovaj tjedan Kongres bi trebao donijeti nove mjere u cilju ublažavanja posljedica pandemije.

Demokrati traže više novca za male poduzetnike, ali i novac za hitno testiranje na nacionalnoj razini i za osobnu zaštitnu opremu.

Vrhunac krize s koronavirusom u SAD-u mogao bi se dogoditi ovaj tjedan, izjavio je u ponedjeljak vodeći zdravstveni stručnjak ukazujući na znakove stabilizacije stanja diljem zemlje.

"Ovog trena se približavamo vrhuncu krize. Znat ćete da smo na vrhuncu kada narednog dana bude manje slučajeva nego prethodnog", rekao je Robert Redfield, direktor Centra za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC).

SAD, najpogođenija zemlja virusom SARS-CoV-2 ima gotovo 558 tisuća oboljelih i više od 22.000 mrtvih, a posljednja četiri dana uzastopce je umiralo po 2000 ljudi, ponajviše u New Yorku i okolici grada.

Naputak da građani ostanu kod kuće već se tjednima poštiva, što je pomoglo obuzdavanju zaraze, no ta je mjera uzela danak kada se radi o gospodarstvu zemlje.
