Europska pravobraniteljica objavila je da je na zahtjev Amnesty Internationala pokrenula istragu protiv Europske komisije zbog njezine reakcije na ponašanje hrvatskih vlasti prema ilegalnim migrantima na granici i neuspostavljanja promatračkog mehanizma.  

Fokus istrage je na tome što Europska komisija čini da bi osigurala da hrvatske vlasti poštuju temeljna ljudska prava u svojim operacijama zaštite granice, stoji u priopćenju europske pravobraniteljice. 

Amnesty International i niz drugih organizacija i svjetskih medija već dulje vrijeme izražavaju zabrinutost zbog navodnih kršenja ljudskih prava u tretmanu migranata na hrvatskoj granici, što hrvatske vlasti odlučno odbacuju. 

U priopćenju se ističe kako u kontekstu europskih sredstava koje Hrvatska dobiva za operacije na granicama ona treba uspostaviti „promatrački mehanizam“ kako bi osigurala da je rad u zaštiti granice u skladu s temeljnim pravima i zakonima EU-a. 

Amnesty International sumnja u postojanje takvog mehanizma i tvrdi da Komisija nije potvrdila da su hrvatske vlasti to učinile ili istražila kako su potrošena osigurana sredstva. 

EK je Hrvatskoj za taj mehanizam novac dala 2018., predvidjevši da će u njemu sudjelovati civilne udruge i pučka pravobraniteljica. 

Europski zastupnici zelenih, članovi Odbora za građanske slobode, pravosuđe i unutarnje poslove procijenili su ove godine takav mehanizam ne postoji jer ne omogućava pristup zelenoj granici, graničnoj policiji i njihovim dokumentima.

Britanski Guardian u lipnju je pisao da je Komisija eurozastupnicima sakrila da hrvatske vlasti nisu potrošile namijenjena sredstva za nadzor policije na granici. 

Komisija do 31. siječnja iduće godine mora odgovoriti na niz pitanja europske pravobraniteljice o promatračkom mehanizmu i načinima na koje je najviše tijelo EU-a potvrdilo da je on doista uspostavljen.

Komisija će morati odgovoriti i kako jamči da se na hrvatskoj granici poštuju temeljna ljudska prava. 

Podnositelj zahtjeva Amnesty International (AI) pozdravio je pokretanje istrage. 

„Amnesty International i druge organizacije su tijekom godina zabilježile brojne povrede, uključujući batinanje i mučenje migranata i tražitelja azila. To radi hrvatska policija kojoj su plaće možda isplaćene europskim sredstvima“, priopćila je šefica odjela AI-ja za europske institucije Eve Geddie. 

Pokretanje istrage Geddie je nazvala „značajnim prvim korakom“ prema nošenju s navodnim kršenjima ljudskim pravima. 

„Nastavkom financiranja operacija na granici i davanjem zelenog svjetla Hrvatskoj za ulazak u šengenski prostor, Komisija je odustala od svoje odgovornosti da nadzire kako se koristi europska pomoć te je poslala opasan signal da besramna kršenja ljudskih prava mogu proći nezapaženo“, priopćeno je iz AI.

Europska pravobraniteljica objavila je da je na zahtjev Amnesty Internationala pokrenula istragu protiv Europske komisije zbog njezine reakcije na ponašanje hrvatskih vlasti prema ilegalnim migrantima na granici i neuspostavljanja promatračkog mehanizma.  

Fokus istrage je na tome što Europska komisija čini da bi osigurala da hrvatske vlasti poštuju temeljna ljudska prava u svojim operacijama zaštite granice, stoji u priopćenju europske pravobraniteljice. 

Amnesty International i niz drugih organizacija i svjetskih medija već dulje vrijeme izražavaju zabrinutost zbog navodnih kršenja ljudskih prava u tretmanu migranata na hrvatskoj granici, što hrvatske vlasti odlučno odbacuju. 

U priopćenju se ističe kako u kontekstu europskih sredstava koje Hrvatska dobiva za operacije na granicama ona treba uspostaviti „promatrački mehanizam“ kako bi osigurala da je rad u zaštiti granice u skladu s temeljnim pravima i zakonima EU-a. 

Amnesty International sumnja u postojanje takvog mehanizma i tvrdi da Komisija nije potvrdila da su hrvatske vlasti to učinile ili istražila kako su potrošena osigurana sredstva. 

EK je Hrvatskoj za taj mehanizam novac dala 2018., predvidjevši da će u njemu sudjelovati civilne udruge i pučka pravobraniteljica. 

Europski zastupnici zelenih, članovi Odbora za građanske slobode, pravosuđe i unutarnje poslove procijenili su ove godine takav mehanizam ne postoji jer ne omogućava pristup zelenoj granici, graničnoj policiji i njihovim dokumentima.

Britanski Guardian u lipnju je pisao da je Komisija eurozastupnicima sakrila da hrvatske vlasti nisu potrošile namijenjena sredstva za nadzor policije na granici. 

Komisija do 31. siječnja iduće godine mora odgovoriti na niz pitanja europske pravobraniteljice o promatračkom mehanizmu i načinima na koje je najviše tijelo EU-a potvrdilo da je on doista uspostavljen.

Komisija će morati odgovoriti i kako jamči da se na hrvatskoj granici poštuju temeljna ljudska prava. 

Podnositelj zahtjeva Amnesty International (AI) pozdravio je pokretanje istrage. 

„Amnesty International i druge organizacije su tijekom godina zabilježile brojne povrede, uključujući batinanje i mučenje migranata i tražitelja azila. To radi hrvatska policija kojoj su plaće možda isplaćene europskim sredstvima“, priopćila je šefica odjela AI-ja za europske institucije Eve Geddie. 

Pokretanje istrage Geddie je nazvala „značajnim prvim korakom“ prema nošenju s navodnim kršenjima ljudskim pravima. 

„Nastavkom financiranja operacija na granici i davanjem zelenog svjetla Hrvatskoj za ulazak u šengenski prostor, Komisija je odustala od svoje odgovornosti da nadzire kako se koristi europska pomoć te je poslala opasan signal da besramna kršenja ljudskih prava mogu proći nezapaženo“, priopćeno je iz AI.

EU pravobraniteljica pokrenula istragu protiv Europske komisije zbog odnosa hrvatske policije prema migrantima

Europska pravobraniteljica objavila je da je na zahtjev Amnesty Internationala pokrenula istragu protiv Europske komisije zbog njezine reakcije na ponašanje hrvatskih vlasti prema ilegalnim migrantima na granici i neuspostavljanja promatračkog mehanizma.  

Fokus istrage je na tome što Europska komisija čini da bi osigurala da hrvatske vlasti poštuju temeljna ljudska prava u svojim operacijama zaštite granice, stoji u priopćenju europske pravobraniteljice. 

Amnesty International i niz drugih organizacija i svjetskih medija već dulje vrijeme izražavaju zabrinutost zbog navodnih kršenja ljudskih prava u tretmanu migranata na hrvatskoj granici, što hrvatske vlasti odlučno odbacuju.
