Farmaceutski div Pfizer ovaj je tjedan objavio snimku koju, kako navode, 'iščekuje cijeli svijet', a gdje se vidi kako je u tijeku punjenje tisuća doza sa novim, eksperimentalnim cjepivom protiv koronavirusa. Američka farmaceutska kompanija nada se da bi do kraja ove godine mogla proizvesti oko 100 milijuna doza. Planiraju zatražiti hitno odobravanje cjepiva od američkih vlasti do kraja studenoga. Kad se klinički potvrdi učinkovitost cjepiva, regulatori moraju dozvoliti prodaju na tržištu, a potom tek kreće u masovnu upotrebu.

Dr. Andreja Ambriović Ristov, predstojnica Zavoda za molekularnu biologiju Instituta “Ruđer Bošković” i članica Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv pandemije koronavirusa Vlade RH, objašnjava nam kako je u ovom trenutku, zajedno sa ovim Pfizerovim, ukupno deset cjepiva u trećoj fazi kliničkih ispitivanja.

„Najoptimističnija procjena je da će barem jedno od tih deset cjepivo biti odobreno do kraja godine. No, to ne znači da će cijepljenje početi odmah dan nakon odobrenja. To ne ide tako. Prije se treba pripremiti dovoljan broj doza. Realno je očekivati da bi do proljeće iduće godine moglo krenuti cijepljenje građana s dostupnim cjepivima. Što se tiče Hrvatske, dogovoren je velik broj doza i dobivat ćemo ih ujednačeno.

Sve članice EU-a cjepivo će dobivati u istom trenutku – kazuje nam dr. Ambriović Ristov.

Kao što je poznato, Europska komisija je s tvrtkom AstraZeneca, koja sa Sveučilištem u Oxfordu radi na cjepivu nazvanom Oxfordsko, ugovorila isporuku 300 milijuna doza, s tim da EU na sebe preuzima naknadu štete od mogućih nuspojava. Hrvatska je od te količine rezervirala dva milijuna doza. 

Sunday Times izvještava kako je visoki britanski zdravstveni dužnosnik, epidemiolog Jonathan Van-Tam, izjavio da bi cjepivo koje se priprema na Sveučilištu Oxford moglo biti spremno do prosinca.  

Kad cjepivo stigne u Hrvatsku, neće se odmah moći cijepiti svi koji to žele. Cijepljenje će ići po određenom redoslijedu.

„Prvo se cijepe zdravstveni radnici, potom ugrožene skupine kronični i onkološki bolesnici te starija populacija, a nakon toga kreće cijepljenje opće populacije. Mi moramo procijepiti populaciju najviše moguće kako bismo dobili efekt ograničenja širenja virusa – objašnjava  dr. Ambriović Ristov.

Također napominje kako se sad nalazimo u vrlo osjetljivom trenutku kad moramo spriječiti eksponencijalni rast.

„Ljudi moraju shvatiti da se strogo trebaju držati propisanih epidemioloških mjera, inače će zdravstveni sustav naprosto puknuti, pa će se umirati od banalnih problema kao što je upala slijepog crijeva – zabrinuta je znanstvenica.

Naša sugovornica podsjeća kako Covid-19 nije sezonska bolest koja će samo tako nestati.

„Gripa je nešto drugo, ona više-manje nestane pa se pojavi neka druga i za to imamo efikasno cjepivo. Za Covid-19  trebat će možda veći postotak cijepljenih kako bi se  epidemija mogla kontrolirati – napominje.  

Dok neki znanstvenici dvoje hoće li se uopće moći proizvesti učinkovito cjepivo protiv koronavirusa, molekularna biologinja je optimist.

„Cjepiva protiv koronavirusa izazivaju snažan imunosni odgovor, kako humoralni, tj. stvaranjem protutijela, tako i stanični, tj. stvaranjem citotoksičnih T limfocita koji ubijaju stanice zaražene virusom. Kolika će biti učinkovitost tog cjepiva te koliko će trajati zaštitni imunitet, to još ne znamo. No, u ovako opasnoj situaciji i cjepivo koje će biti učinkovito svega 50 posto ili cjepivo koje će se možda morati ponavljati svake godine, kao kod gripe, omogućit će kontrolu pandemije i normalizaciju života – zaključuje Andreja Ambriović Ristov.

Farmaceutski div Pfizer ovaj je tjedan objavio snimku koju, kako navode, 'iščekuje cijeli svijet', a gdje se vidi kako je u tijeku punjenje tisuća doza sa novim, eksperimentalnim cjepivom protiv koronavirusa. Američka farmaceutska kompanija nada se da bi do kraja ove godine mogla proizvesti oko 100 milijuna doza. Planiraju zatražiti hitno odobravanje cjepiva od američkih vlasti do kraja studenoga. Kad se klinički potvrdi učinkovitost cjepiva, regulatori moraju dozvoliti prodaju na tržištu, a potom tek kreće u masovnu upotrebu.

Dr. Andreja Ambriović Ristov, predstojnica Zavoda za molekularnu biologiju Instituta “Ruđer Bošković” i članica Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv pandemije koronavirusa Vlade RH, objašnjava nam kako je u ovom trenutku, zajedno sa ovim Pfizerovim, ukupno deset cjepiva u trećoj fazi kliničkih ispitivanja.

„Najoptimističnija procjena je da će barem jedno od tih deset cjepivo biti odobreno do kraja godine. No, to ne znači da će cijepljenje početi odmah dan nakon odobrenja. To ne ide tako. Prije se treba pripremiti dovoljan broj doza. Realno je očekivati da bi do proljeće iduće godine moglo krenuti cijepljenje građana s dostupnim cjepivima. Što se tiče Hrvatske, dogovoren je velik broj doza i dobivat ćemo ih ujednačeno.

Sve članice EU-a cjepivo će dobivati u istom trenutku – kazuje nam dr. Ambriović Ristov.

Kao što je poznato, Europska komisija je s tvrtkom AstraZeneca, koja sa Sveučilištem u Oxfordu radi na cjepivu nazvanom Oxfordsko, ugovorila isporuku 300 milijuna doza, s tim da EU na sebe preuzima naknadu štete od mogućih nuspojava. Hrvatska je od te količine rezervirala dva milijuna doza. 

Sunday Times izvještava kako je visoki britanski zdravstveni dužnosnik, epidemiolog Jonathan Van-Tam, izjavio da bi cjepivo koje se priprema na Sveučilištu Oxford moglo biti spremno do prosinca.  

Kad cjepivo stigne u Hrvatsku, neće se odmah moći cijepiti svi koji to žele. Cijepljenje će ići po određenom redoslijedu.

„Prvo se cijepe zdravstveni radnici, potom ugrožene skupine kronični i onkološki bolesnici te starija populacija, a nakon toga kreće cijepljenje opće populacije. Mi moramo procijepiti populaciju najviše moguće kako bismo dobili efekt ograničenja širenja virusa – objašnjava  dr. Ambriović Ristov.

Također napominje kako se sad nalazimo u vrlo osjetljivom trenutku kad moramo spriječiti eksponencijalni rast.

„Ljudi moraju shvatiti da se strogo trebaju držati propisanih epidemioloških mjera, inače će zdravstveni sustav naprosto puknuti, pa će se umirati od banalnih problema kao što je upala slijepog crijeva – zabrinuta je znanstvenica.

Naša sugovornica podsjeća kako Covid-19 nije sezonska bolest koja će samo tako nestati.

„Gripa je nešto drugo, ona više-manje nestane pa se pojavi neka druga i za to imamo efikasno cjepivo. Za Covid-19  trebat će možda veći postotak cijepljenih kako bi se  epidemija mogla kontrolirati – napominje.  

Dok neki znanstvenici dvoje hoće li se uopće moći proizvesti učinkovito cjepivo protiv koronavirusa, molekularna biologinja je optimist.

„Cjepiva protiv koronavirusa izazivaju snažan imunosni odgovor, kako humoralni, tj. stvaranjem protutijela, tako i stanični, tj. stvaranjem citotoksičnih T limfocita koji ubijaju stanice zaražene virusom. Kolika će biti učinkovitost tog cjepiva te koliko će trajati zaštitni imunitet, to još ne znamo. No, u ovako opasnoj situaciji i cjepivo koje će biti učinkovito svega 50 posto ili cjepivo koje će se možda morati ponavljati svake godine, kao kod gripe, omogućit će kontrolu pandemije i normalizaciju života – zaključuje Andreja Ambriović Ristov.
