Vodeći hrvatski virusni imunolog Stipan Jonjić gostovao je u Novom danu N1 televizije gdje je komentirao najavu cjepiva protiv Covida-19.

- Pfizer i njemačka tvrtka BioNTech su krenuli s time što nije nova platforma, jer se i ranije znalo da sa sintetnskim genima DNK ili RNK ivotinja možemo kreirati cjepivo, ali to je vrlo elegantna tehnologija. Prva faza je pokazala vrlo interesantne stvari, očekivalo se da tako vrlo jednostavno cjepivo neće imati značajne nuspojave - rekao je Jonjić.

- Prva faza je pokazala i još nešto, a to je da je cjepivo izazvalo humoralni odgovor, odnosno stvorilo protutijela i što je još važnije, kvaliteta stanične imunosti je bila dobra - kazao je Jonjić.

Mogući problem

- Sad smo došli do toga da je Pfizer sa svojim suradnicima planirali cijepiti 43 tisuće ljudi, uključiti ih u randomiziranu studiju, gdje bi ljude cijepili tim cjepivom, a druga grupa ljudi je dobila placebo. Onda su čekali da ti ljudi eventualno dođu u kontakt s virusom. Njihov cilj je bio doći do brojke 164 virusom inficirane osobe i oni su to napravili, ali ne u potpunosti. Oni su jučer objavili preliminarnu studiju, žurilo im se očito to napisati. Pokazali su da je 10 posto ljudi koji su dobili cjepivo zaraženo virusom - rekao je Jonjić.

- Cjepivo je elegantna platforma, elegantan pristup, nema nuspojava, ali problem bi mogla biti tehnologija primjene. To cjepivo se mora do mjesta upotrebe donijeti smrznuto. Taj dio je usko grlo koje će trebati jako dobro organizirati i pretpostavka je da zemlje imaju već neku strategiju oko toga - rekao je Jonjić.

Potrebno se dvaput cijepiti

- Velika je razlika u platformi, ovdje imate sintetski gen koji određuje jedan jedini virusni protein upakiran u lipidnu česticu. Drugi je oslabljeni virus koji se unosi u domaćina i potiče imunosni odgovor - objasnio je Jonjić.

- Logistički je problem to što se mora dvaput cijepiti, istaknuo je Jonjić, ali radi se o takvom cjepivu. Logika revakcinacije je dobiti primarnu imunost primitkom prvog cjepiva, a onda se ona drugim cjepivom diže na više razine. Imunost se stječe nakon nekoliko dana, već tjedan dana od primitka cjepiva, a dva tri tjedna je sasvim sigurno dovoljno za imunizaciju, a revakcinacija može doći i kasnije  - objasnio je virusni imunolog

- Ovo je preliminarno istraživanje, oni moraju doći do čarobnog broja 164, a nejasno ostaje hoće li ovo cjepivo biti dovoljno i za prevenciju ponovne infekcije - kazao je Jonjić te dodao:

- Ovo širi optimizam, važno je to - dodaje.

Sumnja u vrlo brzo cijepljenje šire populacije, upravo zbog logističkih problema, jer cjepivo do primatelja mora doći zamrznuto.

- Ovo je dosta komplicirano u smislu primjene, ali obzirom na korist koju nosi, svi ćemo se morati prilagoditi tome - rekao je Jonjić pa istaknuo je da je tehnologija danas takva, da neće biti problem skladištiti takvo cjepivo.

- Važno je cijepiti rizičnu populaciju. Ako cijepimo rizičnu populaciju, riješili smo problem - rekao je Jonjić, dodavši da se ne radi ni o kakvim izmišljotinama niti urotama, nego da problem treba riješiti.

Vodeći hrvatski virusni imunolog Stipan Jonjić gostovao je u Novom danu N1 televizije gdje je komentirao najavu cjepiva protiv Covida-19.

- Pfizer i njemačka tvrtka BioNTech su krenuli s time što nije nova platforma, jer se i ranije znalo da sa sintetnskim genima DNK ili RNK ivotinja možemo kreirati cjepivo, ali to je vrlo elegantna tehnologija. Prva faza je pokazala vrlo interesantne stvari, očekivalo se da tako vrlo jednostavno cjepivo neće imati značajne nuspojave - rekao je Jonjić.

- Prva faza je pokazala i još nešto, a to je da je cjepivo izazvalo humoralni odgovor, odnosno stvorilo protutijela i što je još važnije, kvaliteta stanične imunosti je bila dobra - kazao je Jonjić.

Mogući problem

- Sad smo došli do toga da je Pfizer sa svojim suradnicima planirali cijepiti 43 tisuće ljudi, uključiti ih u randomiziranu studiju, gdje bi ljude cijepili tim cjepivom, a druga grupa ljudi je dobila placebo. Onda su čekali da ti ljudi eventualno dođu u kontakt s virusom. Njihov cilj je bio doći do brojke 164 virusom inficirane osobe i oni su to napravili, ali ne u potpunosti. Oni su jučer objavili preliminarnu studiju, žurilo im se očito to napisati. Pokazali su da je 10 posto ljudi koji su dobili cjepivo zaraženo virusom - rekao je Jonjić.

- Cjepivo je elegantna platforma, elegantan pristup, nema nuspojava, ali problem bi mogla biti tehnologija primjene. To cjepivo se mora do mjesta upotrebe donijeti smrznuto. Taj dio je usko grlo koje će trebati jako dobro organizirati i pretpostavka je da zemlje imaju već neku strategiju oko toga - rekao je Jonjić.

Potrebno se dvaput cijepiti

- Velika je razlika u platformi, ovdje imate sintetski gen koji određuje jedan jedini virusni protein upakiran u lipidnu česticu. Drugi je oslabljeni virus koji se unosi u domaćina i potiče imunosni odgovor - objasnio je Jonjić.

- Logistički je problem to što se mora dvaput cijepiti, istaknuo je Jonjić, ali radi se o takvom cjepivu. Logika revakcinacije je dobiti primarnu imunost primitkom prvog cjepiva, a onda se ona drugim cjepivom diže na više razine. Imunost se stječe nakon nekoliko dana, već tjedan dana od primitka cjepiva, a dva tri tjedna je sasvim sigurno dovoljno za imunizaciju, a revakcinacija može doći i kasnije  - objasnio je virusni imunolog

- Ovo je preliminarno istraživanje, oni moraju doći do čarobnog broja 164, a nejasno ostaje hoće li ovo cjepivo biti dovoljno i za prevenciju ponovne infekcije - kazao je Jonjić te dodao:

- Ovo širi optimizam, važno je to - dodaje.

Sumnja u vrlo brzo cijepljenje šire populacije, upravo zbog logističkih problema, jer cjepivo do primatelja mora doći zamrznuto.

- Ovo je dosta komplicirano u smislu primjene, ali obzirom na korist koju nosi, svi ćemo se morati prilagoditi tome - rekao je Jonjić pa istaknuo je da je tehnologija danas takva, da neće biti problem skladištiti takvo cjepivo.

- Važno je cijepiti rizičnu populaciju. Ako cijepimo rizičnu populaciju, riješili smo problem - rekao je Jonjić, dodavši da se ne radi ni o kakvim izmišljotinama niti urotama, nego da problem treba riješiti.

Vodeći hrvatski virusni imunolog Stipan Jonjić gostovao je u Novom danu N1 televizije gdje je komentirao najavu cjepiva protiv Covida-19.

- Pfizer i njemačka tvrtka BioNTech su krenuli s time što nije nova platforma, jer se i ranije znalo da sa sintetnskim genima DNK ili RNK ivotinja možemo kreirati cjepivo, ali to je vrlo elegantna tehnologija. Prva faza je pokazala vrlo interesantne stvari, očekivalo se da tako vrlo jednostavno cjepivo neće imati značajne nuspojave - rekao je Jonjić.

- Prva faza je pokazala i još nešto, a to je da je cjepivo izazvalo humoralni odgovor, odnosno stvorilo protutijela i što je još važnije, kvaliteta stanične imunosti je bila dobra - kazao je Jonjić.

- Sad smo došli do toga da je Pfizer sa svojim suradnicima planirali cijepiti...
