Međunarodna veslačka reagata Sveti Duje došla je do 21. izdanja. Tako se tjedan dana nakon proslave zaštitnika grada Splita, nastavlja tradicija koja postoji već više od dva destljeća. Centar događanja su opet "najljepše veslačke pozornice", Spinut i Riva.

U ambijentu Galerije Meštrović službeno je i najavljeno izdanje Regate koja u grad pod Marjanom od 12. do 14. travnja dovodi veslački “creme de la creme”.

- Sa zadovoljstvom mogu reći da je sve spremno za 21. po redu Regatu, a i da su na mapi prvi put i interkontinentalne ekipe. Nakon svih ovih godina, lijepo je reći da imamo tradiciju i vrijednost, na početku je istaknuo zlatni olimpijac, Luka Grubor, pa dodao kako su čamci ovogodišnjih legendi najteži do sada... U samo tri ekipe: Oxforda, Cambridgea i Splita, nalazi se čak 10 olimpijskih, a preko 25 svjetskih medalja.

Zatim je najavljen i meet-up naziva “Lessons from the boat”, u kojem će i ove godine biti riječ o dualnim karijerama. Tako će "Spinit inkubator" u petak, 12. svibnja s početkom u 18 sati, postati središte okupljanja studenata, sportaša, alumnija, ali i svih zainteresiranih. Istaknuti predavač bit će Jan Herzog. Nekada veslački reprezentativac, olimpijac, danas je kirurg u Kraljevskoj nacionalnoj ortopedskoj bolnici, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, kao i bolnicama Spire Bushey i St John & St Elizabeth. 

Nikša Skelin, predsjednik Veslačkog saveza Dalmacije, osvrnuo se na jedan od glavnih ciljeva ove manifestacije.

- Ova regata ima iznimnu važnost što na hrvatskom, ali i na međunarodno kalendaru. Važna je i za naše mlađe generacije da vide veslačke lelegende uživo, a ne samo na televiziji. Međutim, poruka je i taj zajednički akadameski i sportski put s ciljem da se osoba profilira kompletno. Da ti mlađi vide kako je moguće biti jednako uspješan na oba područja- u sportu, ali i u obrazovanju.

U ime Sveučilišta u Splitu, Regatu je najavio prorektor za strateško planiranje i upravljanje, Boris Maleš, koji je pohvalio angažman Splitskog sveučilišnog sportskog saveza:

- Regata Sveti Duje simbol je sveučilišnog sporta na našem području, a prije svega to možemo zahvaliti Sveučilištu u Splitu koje ulaže u sveučilišni sport i visoko pozicionira važnost ovog segmenta akademskog i društvenog života.

Također, prorektor Maleš, istaknuo je i kandidaturu za Europske sveučilišne igre 2028. godine. Sveučilište u Splitu sprema kandidaturu za ovaj najmasovniji europski sveučilišni događaj, koji inače okuplja više od 5500 sudionika s više od 400 sveučilišta, a održavale bi se na preko 50 sportskih lokacija.

Nadodajmo da nas ove godine očekuju i nikad jače sveučilišne ekipe, jer osim pojačanja s hrvatskih sveučilišta, ističu se ekipe iz Johannesburga i Koreje. Tako se Regata, slobodno može i pohvaliti kako je- interkontinentalna. 

Što se tiče samih utrka, prvo će se u subotu na Gusaru održati sveučilišne utrke osmeraca, a onda u nedjelju kao “šlag na tortu”, i utrka legendi triju velikih veslačkih ekipa, Oxforda, Cambridgea i Splita.

Ovo je događaj koji s jedne strane spaja sport i obrazovanje, ali i kulturu i zabavu, pa zato ne propustite biti dio ove velike manifestacije!

Međunarodna veslačka reagata Sveti Duje došla je do 21. izdanja. Tako se tjedan dana nakon proslave zaštitnika grada Splita, nastavlja tradicija koja postoji već više od dva destljeća. Centar događanja su opet "najljepše veslačke pozornice", Spinut i Riva.

U ambijentu Galerije Meštrović službeno je i najavljeno izdanje Regate koja u grad pod Marjanom od 12. do 14. travnja dovodi veslački “creme de la creme”.

- Sa zadovoljstvom mogu reći da je sve spremno za 21. po redu Regatu, a i da su na mapi prvi put i interkontinentalne ekipe. Nakon svih ovih godina, lijepo je reći da imamo tradiciju i vrijednost, na početku je istaknuo zlatni olimpijac, Luka Grubor, pa dodao kako su čamci ovogodišnjih legendi najteži do sada... U samo tri ekipe: Oxforda, Cambridgea i Splita, nalazi se čak 10 olimpijskih, a preko 25 svjetskih medalja.

Zatim je najavljen i meet-up naziva “Lessons from the boat”, u kojem će i ove godine biti riječ o dualnim karijerama. Tako će "Spinit inkubator" u petak, 12. svibnja s početkom u 18 sati, postati središte okupljanja studenata, sportaša, alumnija, ali i svih zainteresiranih. Istaknuti predavač bit će Jan Herzog. Nekada veslački reprezentativac, olimpijac, danas je kirurg u Kraljevskoj nacionalnoj ortopedskoj bolnici, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, kao i bolnicama Spire Bushey i St John & St Elizabeth. 

Nikša Skelin, predsjednik Veslačkog saveza Dalmacije, osvrnuo se na jedan od glavnih ciljeva ove manifestacije.

- Ova regata ima iznimnu važnost što na hrvatskom, ali i na međunarodno kalendaru. Važna je i za naše mlađe generacije da vide veslačke lelegende uživo, a ne samo na televiziji. Međutim, poruka je i taj zajednički akadameski i sportski put s ciljem da se osoba profilira kompletno. Da ti mlađi vide kako je moguće biti jednako uspješan na oba područja- u sportu, ali i u obrazovanju.

U ime Sveučilišta u Splitu, Regatu je najavio prorektor za strateško planiranje i upravljanje, Boris Maleš, koji je pohvalio angažman Splitskog sveučilišnog sportskog saveza:

- Regata Sveti Duje simbol je sveučilišnog sporta na našem području, a prije svega to možemo zahvaliti Sveučilištu u Splitu koje ulaže u sveučilišni sport i visoko pozicionira važnost ovog segmenta akademskog i društvenog života.

Također, prorektor Maleš, istaknuo je i kandidaturu za Europske sveučilišne igre 2028. godine. Sveučilište u Splitu sprema kandidaturu za ovaj najmasovniji europski sveučilišni događaj, koji inače okuplja više od 5500 sudionika s više od 400 sveučilišta, a održavale bi se na preko 50 sportskih lokacija.

Nadodajmo da nas ove godine očekuju i nikad jače sveučilišne ekipe, jer osim pojačanja s hrvatskih sveučilišta, ističu se ekipe iz Johannesburga i Koreje. Tako se Regata, slobodno može i pohvaliti kako je- interkontinentalna. 

Što se tiče samih utrka, prvo će se u subotu na Gusaru održati sveučilišne utrke osmeraca, a onda u nedjelju kao “šlag na tortu”, i utrka legendi triju velikih veslačkih ekipa, Oxforda, Cambridgea i Splita.

Ovo je događaj koji s jedne strane spaja sport i obrazovanje, ali i kulturu i zabavu, pa zato ne propustite biti dio ove velike manifestacije!
