Vedad Ibišević legenda je nogometne reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine, ali i Bundeslige. Između ostalih pogodaka, ovaj bivši napadač zabio je gol za 1:0 pobjedu u Litvi koji je reprezentaciju BiH odveo na Svjetsko prvenstvo u Brazilu 2014. godine, ali i pogodak Argentini na Marakani u 1:2 porazu na tom Mundijalu, povijesni prvi ‘ljiljana‘ na SP-ima. Ukupno je zabio 28 golova za BiH i drugi je strijelac reprezentacije svih vremena, iza Edina Džeke koji ih je zabio 66.

U karijeri je danas 39-godišnji Ibišević između ostalog bio član PSG-a, Dijona, Allemanije Aachen, Hoffenheima, Stuttgarta, Herthe, Schalkea... Najdublji trag ostavio je u Hoffenheimu i Herthi. Ukupno je u Bundesligi zabio čak 127 pogodaka. Zbog svega je dobio i nadimak ‘Vedator‘. Manje je poznato da je na počecima profesionalne karijere bio vrlo blizu Hajduka. Pored ostalog, detalje tog dijela svoje karijere otkrio je Ibišević gostujući u emisiji ‘(Ne)uspjeh prvaka s Mariom Stanićem‘, televizijske emisije pod pokroviteljstvom Sportskih igara mladih koja se prikazuje na ArenaSportu.

Bilo je to 2004. godine, dok je igrao nogomet u SAD-u, na sveučilištu u St. Louisu. Skrenuo je tada pažnju na sebe spektakularnim pogotkom koji je zabio po ulasku s klupe u jednom nastupu za U21 reprezentaciju BiH u Orašju protiv selekcije Slovenije. Tada su interes za njega pokazivali Hajduk, Partizan..., ali je otišao na probu u PSG i - ostao. Pariški klub nije tada još bio ono što je postao kasnije dolaskom bogatih katarskih vlasnika, ali je svejedno i tada pripadao europskoj eliti i taj poziv je od onih koji se ne odbijaju tek tako. Tada je trener kluba s Parka prinčeva bio Vahid Halilhodžić.

- Zabio sam prelijep gol, nikad u karijeri više nisam zabio takav. Dosta ljudi iz svijeta nogometa je bilo tu, od Michela Platinija, menadžera, trenera. Svi su pitali tko je ovaj dečko iz Amerike... Od svih tih opcija odabrao sam Vahu, ali moram reći da sam jedinu konkretnu ponudu tada imao od Igora Štimca. On je tada bio u Hajduku - prisjetio se Ibišević.

- Bilo mi je drago zbog toga, ali sam malo htio sačekati da vidim što će se još događati. Kada je došla ponuda da idem u PSG na probu logično je da sam je kao klinac prihvatio. Rekao sam sebi da je bolje da odem probati u tako velikom klubu. Moram također priznati da je Igor bio jako korektan. Rekao mi je da bi na mom mjestu to isto uradio, ali da ako slučajno iz nekog razloga ne prođem na probi, da Hajdukova ponuda i dalje stoji - ispričao je Ibišević.

U Francuskoj se ipak Ibišević nije posve uspio nametnuti, ali je zato status legende stekao kasnije u Njemačkoj.

Vedad Ibišević legenda je nogometne reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine, ali i Bundeslige. Između ostalih pogodaka, ovaj bivši napadač zabio je gol za 1:0 pobjedu u Litvi koji je reprezentaciju BiH odveo na Svjetsko prvenstvo u Brazilu 2014. godine, ali i pogodak Argentini na Marakani u 1:2 porazu na tom Mundijalu, povijesni prvi ‘ljiljana‘ na SP-ima. Ukupno je zabio 28 golova za BiH i drugi je strijelac reprezentacije svih vremena, iza Edina Džeke koji ih je zabio 66.

U karijeri je danas 39-godišnji Ibišević između ostalog bio član PSG-a, Dijona, Allemanije Aachen, Hoffenheima, Stuttgarta, Herthe, Schalkea... Najdublji trag ostavio je u Hoffenheimu i Herthi. Ukupno je u Bundesligi zabio čak 127 pogodaka. Zbog svega je dobio i nadimak ‘Vedator‘. Manje je poznato da je na počecima profesionalne karijere bio vrlo blizu Hajduka. Pored ostalog, detalje tog dijela svoje karijere otkrio je Ibišević gostujući u emisiji ‘(Ne)uspjeh prvaka s Mariom Stanićem‘, televizijske emisije pod pokroviteljstvom Sportskih igara mladih koja se prikazuje na ArenaSportu.

Bilo je to 2004. godine, dok je igrao nogomet u SAD-u, na sveučilištu u St. Louisu. Skrenuo je tada pažnju na sebe spektakularnim pogotkom koji je zabio po ulasku s klupe u jednom nastupu za U21 reprezentaciju BiH u Orašju protiv selekcije Slovenije. Tada su interes za njega pokazivali Hajduk, Partizan..., ali je otišao na probu u PSG i - ostao. Pariški klub nije tada još bio ono što je postao kasnije dolaskom bogatih katarskih vlasnika, ali je svejedno i tada pripadao europskoj eliti i taj poziv je od onih koji se ne odbijaju tek tako. Tada je trener kluba s Parka prinčeva bio Vahid Halilhodžić.

- Zabio sam prelijep gol, nikad u karijeri više nisam zabio takav. Dosta ljudi iz svijeta nogometa je bilo tu, od Michela Platinija, menadžera, trenera. Svi su pitali tko je ovaj dečko iz Amerike... Od svih tih opcija odabrao sam Vahu, ali moram reći da sam jedinu konkretnu ponudu tada imao od Igora Štimca. On je tada bio u Hajduku - prisjetio se Ibišević.

- Bilo mi je drago zbog toga, ali sam malo htio sačekati da vidim što će se još događati. Kada je došla ponuda da idem u PSG na probu logično je da sam je kao klinac prihvatio. Rekao sam sebi da je bolje da odem probati u tako velikom klubu. Moram također priznati da je Igor bio jako korektan. Rekao mi je da bi na mom mjestu to isto uradio, ali da ako slučajno iz nekog razloga ne prođem na probi, da Hajdukova ponuda i dalje stoji - ispričao je Ibišević.

U Francuskoj se ipak Ibišević nije posve uspio nametnuti, ali je zato status legende stekao kasnije u Njemačkoj.
