Londonska četvrt Brixton u kojemu se je rodio David Bowie donijela je odluku o zaštiti murala pred lokalnom veletrgovinom na kojemu je Bowiejev portret, rad australskog umjetnika Jimmyja C, objavio je britanski The Guardian.

To je mjesto postalo pravo svetište na kojemu se okupljaju obožavatelji i poklonici Bowieja, donoseći cvijeće i druge predmete.

Lokalne vlasti u Brixtonu razmišljaju i o imenovanju jedne ulice po slavnom suugrađaninu te postavljanju spomenika, o čemu će konačnu odluku prepustiti obitelji slavnog glazbenika koji je umro 10. siječnja ove godine, nakon dugotrajne borbe s opakom bolešću.

Nakon Bowieve smrti obožavatelji su pred mural položili goleme količine cvijeća koje će lokalne vlasti idući tjedan ukloniti, dok će fotografije murala, postere i ostale predmete predati organizacijama koje bi ih željele izložiti na izložbama.

Bowie se je rodio 1947. kao David Robert Jones, a umjetničko ime David Bowie nadjenuo si je 1965.

U povijest pop glazbe upisao se kao čovjek s tisuću lica, pseudonima i stilova, od glam rocka, bjelačkog soula do elektronske glazbe.

Nastupio je i u  više filmova i televizijskih produkcija, a o njemu su izdane brojne knjige i snimljen niz dokumentarnih filmova.

Londonska četvrt Brixton u kojemu se je rodio David Bowie donijela je odluku o zaštiti murala pred lokalnom veletrgovinom na kojemu je Bowiejev portret, rad australskog umjetnika Jimmyja C, objavio je britanski The Guardian.

To je mjesto postalo pravo svetište na kojemu se okupljaju obožavatelji i poklonici Bowieja, donoseći cvijeće i druge predmete.

Lokalne vlasti u Brixtonu razmišljaju i o imenovanju jedne ulice po slavnom suugrađaninu te postavljanju spomenika, o čemu će konačnu odluku prepustiti obitelji slavnog glazbenika koji je umro 10. siječnja ove godine, nakon dugotrajne borbe s opakom bolešću.

Nakon Bowieve smrti obožavatelji su pred mural položili goleme količine cvijeća koje će lokalne vlasti idući tjedan ukloniti, dok će fotografije murala, postere i ostale predmete predati organizacijama koje bi ih željele izložiti na izložbama.

Bowie se je rodio 1947. kao David Robert Jones, a umjetničko ime David Bowie nadjenuo si je 1965.

U povijest pop glazbe upisao se kao čovjek s tisuću lica, pseudonima i stilova, od glam rocka, bjelačkog soula do elektronske glazbe.

Nastupio je i u  više filmova i televizijskih produkcija, a o njemu su izdane brojne knjige i snimljen niz dokumentarnih filmova.
