Kliničko-bolnički centar Sestre milosrdnice prvi je u Hrvatskoj izveo zahvat zaleđivanja malignog tumora na dojci, što predstavlja važnu inovaciju u području minimalno invazivnih zahvata kod onkoloških pacijenata.

Krioablacija, odnosno zaleđivanje tumora, u toj se bolnici primjenjuje unatrag dvije godine, no dosad se taj zahvat koristio za liječenje karcinoma bubrega, pluća i kostiju, a od danas se koristi i za karcinom dojke, priopćio je u srijedu KBC.

U Klinici za tumore zahvat zaleđivanja karcinoma dojke izveli su voditelj Odjela za intervencijsku radiologiju Luka Novosel, radiologinja Karolina Bolanča Čulo te voditeljica Odjela za dijagnostiku dojke Sanja Baršić Ostojić.

‘"Krioablacija je tehnika kojom se zaleđuju isključivo štetna tkiva i tumori te se tako ciljano uništavaju, a bez implikacija na okolno zdravo tkivo", objašnjava Novosel.

Sam postupak sastojao se od preciznog navođenja iglenih sondi kroz kožu, koje se s pomoću UZV uređaja postavljaju u tumor, nakon čega je slijedilo stvaranje ledene zone, promjera do tri centimetra koja je uzrokovala uništenje tumorskih stanica.

"Ovim zahvatom pacijentici je pošteđen preostali dio dojke, s obzirom na to da nisu ustanovljene metastaze", istaknuo je Novosel.

Riječ je o zahvatu pogodnom za pacijentice koje nisu idealni kandidati za klasičnu resekciju dojke zbog dobi i komorbiditeta ili rizika anestezije, te za tumore do dva centimetra ili manje metastaze.

Dodatna je prednost zahvata krioablacije tumora dojke što se radi ambulantno, bezbolno je te traje jedan sat nakon čega pacijentica može ići kući, ističe ravnatelj KBC-a Sestre milosrdnice Davor Vagić.

Kliničko-bolnički centar Sestre milosrdnice prvi je u Hrvatskoj izveo zahvat zaleđivanja malignog tumora na dojci, što predstavlja važnu inovaciju u području minimalno invazivnih zahvata kod onkoloških pacijenata.

Krioablacija, odnosno zaleđivanje tumora, u toj se bolnici primjenjuje unatrag dvije godine, no dosad se taj zahvat koristio za liječenje karcinoma bubrega, pluća i kostiju, a od danas se koristi i za karcinom dojke, priopćio je u srijedu KBC.

U Klinici za tumore zahvat zaleđivanja karcinoma dojke izveli su voditelj Odjela za intervencijsku radiologiju Luka Novosel, radiologinja Karolina Bolanča Čulo te voditeljica Odjela za dijagnostiku dojke Sanja Baršić Ostojić.

‘"Krioablacija je tehnika kojom se zaleđuju isključivo štetna tkiva i tumori te se tako ciljano uništavaju, a bez implikacija na okolno zdravo tkivo", objašnjava Novosel.

Sam postupak sastojao se od preciznog navođenja iglenih sondi kroz kožu, koje se s pomoću UZV uređaja postavljaju u tumor, nakon čega je slijedilo stvaranje ledene zone, promjera do tri centimetra koja je uzrokovala uništenje tumorskih stanica.

"Ovim zahvatom pacijentici je pošteđen preostali dio dojke, s obzirom na to da nisu ustanovljene metastaze", istaknuo je Novosel.

Riječ je o zahvatu pogodnom za pacijentice koje nisu idealni kandidati za klasičnu resekciju dojke zbog dobi i komorbiditeta ili rizika anestezije, te za tumore do dva centimetra ili manje metastaze.

Dodatna je prednost zahvata krioablacije tumora dojke što se radi ambulantno, bezbolno je te traje jedan sat nakon čega pacijentica može ići kući, ističe ravnatelj KBC-a Sestre milosrdnice Davor Vagić.
