U susret Svjetskom danu oboljelih od limfoma koji se obilježava 15. rujna svake godine, iz udruge "Leukemija i limfomi" poručili su da se u Hrvatskoj svake godine dijagnosticira oko 600 novooboljelih od limfoma, a porast incidencije na godinu raste za četiri posto. Trendovi porasta bilježe se i u svijetu.
Riječ je o raku koji počinje u stanicama limfnog sustava, koji inače pomaže tijelu da se bori protiv infekcije i bolesti. Budući da se limfno tkivo nalazi po cijelom tijelu, limfom može nastati i početi se razvijati gotovo bilo gdje.
Dva glavna tipa su Hodgkin i ne-Hodgkin limfom. Mogu se razviti i kod djece i kod odraslih.
Simptomi limfoma slični su onima prehlade ili viroze, ali traju duži period. Neki ljudi uopće neće osjetiti simptome.
Liječenje ovisi o tipu limfoma i stadiju bolesti. Mali, ili sporo rastući limfom možda neće ni trebati liječenje. Važne su redovite kontrole kako bi se pratilo eventualno širenje tumora.
Liječnik će nakon temeljitog fizičkog pregleda i uzimanja u obzir svih simptoma, pacijenta uputiti na vađenje krvi ili biopsiju, a moguće je da zatraži i CT, MR, ultrazvuk ili neki drugi pregled.
Šanse za dobar ishod liječenja smanjuju se kako limfom napreduje. Ključno je potražiti liječničku pomoć za sve simptome prehlade ili infekcije koji se nastavljaju duže vrijeme. Rana dijagnoza može poboljšati šanse osobe za uspješno liječenje.

U susret Svjetskom danu oboljelih od limfoma koji se obilježava 15. rujna svake godine, iz udruge "Leukemija i limfomi" poručili su da se u Hrvatskoj svake godine dijagnosticira oko 600 novooboljelih od limfoma, a porast incidencije na godinu raste za četiri posto. Trendovi porasta bilježe se i u svijetu.
Riječ je o raku koji počinje u stanicama limfnog sustava, koji inače pomaže tijelu da se bori protiv infekcije i bolesti. Budući da se limfno tkivo nalazi po cijelom tijelu, limfom može nastati i početi se razvijati gotovo bilo gdje.
Dva glavna tipa su Hodgkin i ne-Hodgkin limfom. Mogu se razviti i kod djece i kod odraslih.
Simptomi limfoma slični su onima prehlade ili viroze, ali traju duži period. Neki ljudi uopće neće osjetiti simptome.
Liječenje ovisi o tipu limfoma i stadiju bolesti. Mali, ili sporo rastući limfom možda neće ni trebati liječenje. Važne su redovite kontrole kako bi se pratilo eventualno širenje tumora.
Liječnik će nakon temeljitog fizičkog pregleda i uzimanja u obzir svih simptoma, pacijenta uputiti na vađenje krvi ili biopsiju, a moguće je da zatraži i CT, MR, ultrazvuk ili neki drugi pregled.
Šanse za dobar ishod liječenja smanjuju se kako limfom napreduje. Ključno je potražiti liječničku pomoć za sve simptome prehlade ili infekcije koji se nastavljaju duže vrijeme. Rana dijagnoza može poboljšati šanse osobe za uspješno liječenje.
