Nutricionisti nam poručuju da bismo za doručak trebali jesti proteine pa smo se bacili u potragu za jelima koja bi bila prikladna za taj obrok, a ujedno ispunjavala spomenutu preporuku. Jedna od opcija su jela od jaja, pa što kažete na omlet? I to - egipatski. Nije špala, postoji jelo koje se naziva egipattskim omletom, premda ga Egipćani nazivaju eggah.
Riječ je o jelu na bazi jaja vrlo popularnom u arapskoj kuhinji koje je donekle slično fritaji. Eggah je obično dobro začinjeno jelo, a najčešće se koriste cimet, kumin, sjemenke ili lišće korijandera, kurkuma, grožđice, pinjoli, muškatni oraščić i svježe začinsko bilje.

Egipatski omlet obično sadrži i povrće, a ponekad i meso te sir. Najčešće je kružnog oblika i poslužuje se narezan na pravokutnike ili kriške, ponekad topao, a ponekad hladan. Najpopularnije varijacije ovog jela pored jaja sadrže tikvice, luk, rajčice, špinat, kruh, artičoke, piletinu i poriluk.
Evo vam jedan zgodan recept pa probajte kako vam se sviđa. Napominjemo da ovaj recept sadrži osobitu vrstu sira, poznatu kao rumi, a riječ je o tvrdom, odležanom siru jakog okusa stoga se pobrinite da zamjena koju ćete koristiti po navedenim karakteristikama odgovara izvornom sastojku.
Eggah
Sastojci:
3 jaja
3 žlice mlijeka
3 žlice rumi sira
2 žličice brašna
1 žličica maslaca
1 žlica ulja
1/4 žličice kumina
1/4 žličice đumbira
1/4 žličice kurkume
malo svježeg korijandra ili peršina
Priprema:
U manju posudu dodajte brašno i začine osim korijandera pa polako dodajte žlicu po žlicu mlijeka dok oprezno miješate da se smjesa ne bi zgrudala. Zatim razbijte 3 jaja i dodajte ih u posudu te sve lagano promiješajte tek toliko da se smjesa sjedini. Budite oprezni, nipošto nemojte puno miješati jer će omlet ispasti nizak i neće biti dobar.
Premažite tavu žlicom ulja, a zatim dodajte žličicu maslaca pa je razlijte po cijeloj tavi. Nakon toga vatru smanjite na srednju, pustite da se tava malo zagrije pa dodajte smjesu za omlet.
Dok se omlet peče, nježno mu podignite strane kako bi sirovi dio smjese skliznuo ispod.
Nakon što je sve ispečeno, maknite s vatre, po vrhu pospite sir i nasjeckani korijandar, a zatim pokrijte tavu folijom ili tanjurom pa ostavite da odstoji otprilike 2-3 minute.

Nutricionisti nam poručuju da bismo za doručak trebali jesti proteine pa smo se bacili u potragu za jelima koja bi bila prikladna za taj obrok, a ujedno ispunjavala spomenutu preporuku. Jedna od opcija su jela od jaja, pa što kažete na omlet? I to - egipatski. Nije špala, postoji jelo koje se naziva egipattskim omletom, premda ga Egipćani nazivaju eggah.
Riječ je o jelu na bazi jaja vrlo popularnom u arapskoj kuhinji koje je donekle slično fritaji. Eggah je obično dobro začinjeno jelo, a najčešće se koriste cimet, kumin, sjemenke ili lišće korijandera, kurkuma, grožđice, pinjoli, muškatni oraščić i svježe začinsko bilje.

Egipatski omlet obično sadrži i povrće, a ponekad i meso te sir. Najčešće je kružnog oblika i poslužuje se narezan na pravokutnike ili kriške, ponekad topao, a ponekad hladan. Najpopularnije varijacije ovog jela pored jaja sadrže tikvice, luk, rajčice, špinat, kruh, artičoke, piletinu i poriluk.
Evo vam jedan zgodan recept pa probajte kako vam se sviđa. Napominjemo da ovaj recept sadrži osobitu vrstu sira, poznatu kao rumi, a riječ je o tvrdom, odležanom siru jakog okusa stoga se pobrinite da zamjena koju ćete koristiti po navedenim karakteristikama odgovara izvornom sastojku.
Eggah
Sastojci:
3 jaja
3 žlice mlijeka
3 žlice rumi sira
2 žličice brašna
1 žličica maslaca
1 žlica ulja
1/4 žličice kumina
1/4 žličice đumbira
1/4 žličice kurkume
malo svježeg korijandra ili peršina
Priprema:
U manju posudu dodajte brašno i začine osim korijandera pa polako dodajte žlicu po žlicu mlijeka dok oprezno miješate da se smjesa ne bi zgrudala. Zatim razbijte 3 jaja i dodajte ih u posudu te sve lagano promiješajte tek toliko da se smjesa sjedini. Budite oprezni, nipošto nemojte puno miješati jer će omlet ispasti nizak i neće biti dobar.
Premažite tavu žlicom ulja, a zatim dodajte žličicu maslaca pa je razlijte po cijeloj tavi. Nakon toga vatru smanjite na srednju, pustite da se tava malo zagrije pa dodajte smjesu za omlet.
Dok se omlet peče, nježno mu podignite strane kako bi sirovi dio smjese skliznuo ispod.
Nakon što je sve ispečeno, maknite s vatre, po vrhu pospite sir i nasjeckani korijandar, a zatim pokrijte tavu folijom ili tanjurom pa ostavite da odstoji otprilike 2-3 minute.
