Završni projekt 41. Splitskog salona izvest će se ove subote, 4. prosinca, s početkom u 19 sati, kada će splitski Akvarij na Bačvicama postati prostor za koreografsko istraživanje i jednosatnu izvedbu plesne autorice, izvođačice i pedagoginje Sonje Pregrad, dizajnera vizualnih komunikacija i eksperimentalnog glazbenika Andre Ginuia i multimedijalnog umjetnika Tina Dožića.

Već dugo zatvoren prostor splitskog Akvarija, smješten na jednoj od najreprezentativnijih splitskih lokacija, plažnom kompleksu Bačvice, specifičnim će kolektivnim umjetničkim postupkom nanovo postati urbanim subjektom, otvarajući prostor za upisivanje utopijskih sadržaja, ali i realnih namjera da dugotrajno postane prostorom javne, kulturno-umjetničke namjene.

Inicijativa ovogodišnjeg 41. Splitskog salona, da prostoru Akvarija Bačvice povrati javnu kulturno - umjetničku namjenu popraćena je tekstom Jurice Pavičića "Dobrodošli u akvarij: tamnu pjegu javnog u srcu tranzicije" u kojoj pisac kaže:

"A pokraj svega toga, tu je još jedan epifenomen (ne samo) hrvatske tranzicije: a to je poraz javnoga. Poraz javnoga koji se u slučaju Bačvica najbolje očituje na slučaju Akvarija, Akvarija- koji je trebao biti pojedinačno najveći prostor novog plažnog objekta. Koji je trebao biti jedini dio tog zdanja namijenjen nedvosmisleno javnoj namjeni. Te koji je, unatoč tome ili upravo zbog toga, ostao jedini dio tog zdanja koji nije nikad priveden funkciji. Ne samo funkciji akvarija: nikakvoj, ni jednoj funkciji.

Dakako, povremenih je pokušaja reaktivacije bilo.

U Akvariju se dogodilo nekoliko jednokratnih izložbenih projekata, uključujući jedan Splitski salon sa paprenom i kontroverznom temom pejzaža. Festival mediteranskog filma svojedobno je koristio Akvarij za back stage u kojem sam slušao koncert Arsena Dedića. Postojala je zamisao pisca i novinara Ante Tomića da se prostor reaktivira kao kazališna scena. Svi su ti pokušaji bili kratkotrajni, trajali i jenjali. Nakon pet ili deset dana, teška bi se metalna vrata zatvorila, a betonska duplja akvarija mirovala bi mrtvački, poput grobnice, idućih tri ili pet ili sedam godina. Uokolo, na čitavom prostoru Bačvica, mladi poduzetnički nerv turistificiranog grada grabio je, napuhivao, jaružao i prisvajao svaki zamislivi pedalj prostora za biznis avalanšu. A u oku i srcu toga, stotine su kvadrata javne namjene mrtvački mirovale, u grobnom spokoju, jer javnost nije znala što bi točno s tom javnim prostorom. Prostorom, koji je u međuvremenu pokriven zaboravom. A mnogi bi rekli- i bolje: jer, da ga se netko u kriva vremena netko sjetio, pao bi kao žrtva istog procesa koji je pojeo i sve uokolo.

Projekt kojem sada svjedočite pokušaj je da se ta zaboravljena, tamna pjega javnog vrati iz zaborava. Da se u svijest zajednice vrati prostor koji kao grudva antimaterije stoji u srcu vašarskog, sitno-klijentskog kapitalizma današnjih Bačvica. Stoji, kao ne-jedino prisjećanje da je u našoj tranziciji najveći gubitnik bio i ostao uvijek jedan, vazda isti. Ono javno.“

Završni projekt 41. Splitskog salona izvest će se ove subote, 4. prosinca, s početkom u 19 sati, kada će splitski Akvarij na Bačvicama postati prostor za koreografsko istraživanje i jednosatnu izvedbu plesne autorice, izvođačice i pedagoginje Sonje Pregrad, dizajnera vizualnih komunikacija i eksperimentalnog glazbenika Andre Ginuia i multimedijalnog umjetnika Tina Dožića.

Već dugo zatvoren prostor splitskog Akvarija, smješten na jednoj od najreprezentativnijih splitskih lokacija, plažnom kompleksu Bačvice, specifičnim će kolektivnim umjetničkim postupkom nanovo postati urbanim subjektom, otvarajući prostor za upisivanje utopijskih sadržaja, ali i realnih namjera da dugotrajno postane prostorom javne, kulturno-umjetničke namjene.

Inicijativa ovogodišnjeg 41. Splitskog salona, da prostoru Akvarija Bačvice povrati javnu kulturno - umjetničku namjenu popraćena je tekstom Jurice Pavičića "Dobrodošli u akvarij: tamnu pjegu javnog u srcu tranzicije" u kojoj pisac kaže:

"A pokraj svega toga, tu je još jedan epifenomen (ne samo) hrvatske tranzicije: a to je poraz javnoga. Poraz javnoga koji se u slučaju Bačvica najbolje očituje na slučaju Akvarija, Akvarija- koji je trebao biti pojedinačno najveći prostor novog plažnog objekta. Koji je trebao biti jedini dio tog zdanja namijenjen nedvosmisleno javnoj namjeni. Te koji je, unatoč tome ili upravo zbog toga, ostao jedini dio tog zdanja koji nije nikad priveden funkciji. Ne samo funkciji akvarija: nikakvoj, ni jednoj funkciji.

Dakako, povremenih je pokušaja reaktivacije bilo.

U Akvariju se dogodilo nekoliko jednokratnih izložbenih projekata, uključujući jedan Splitski salon sa paprenom i kontroverznom temom pejzaža. Festival mediteranskog filma svojedobno je koristio Akvarij za back stage u kojem sam slušao koncert Arsena Dedića. Postojala je zamisao pisca i novinara Ante Tomića da se prostor reaktivira kao kazališna scena. Svi su ti pokušaji bili kratkotrajni, trajali i jenjali. Nakon pet ili deset dana, teška bi se metalna vrata zatvorila, a betonska duplja akvarija mirovala bi mrtvački, poput grobnice, idućih tri ili pet ili sedam godina. Uokolo, na čitavom prostoru Bačvica, mladi poduzetnički nerv turistificiranog grada grabio je, napuhivao, jaružao i prisvajao svaki zamislivi pedalj prostora za biznis avalanšu. A u oku i srcu toga, stotine su kvadrata javne namjene mrtvački mirovale, u grobnom spokoju, jer javnost nije znala što bi točno s tom javnim prostorom. Prostorom, koji je u međuvremenu pokriven zaboravom. A mnogi bi rekli- i bolje: jer, da ga se netko u kriva vremena netko sjetio, pao bi kao žrtva istog procesa koji je pojeo i sve uokolo.

Projekt kojem sada svjedočite pokušaj je da se ta zaboravljena, tamna pjega javnog vrati iz zaborava. Da se u svijest zajednice vrati prostor koji kao grudva antimaterije stoji u srcu vašarskog, sitno-klijentskog kapitalizma današnjih Bačvica. Stoji, kao ne-jedino prisjećanje da je u našoj tranziciji najveći gubitnik bio i ostao uvijek jedan, vazda isti. Ono javno.“
