"Samo si trebao umrijeti, zar je to bilo tako teško?" – "Zabavni park noćnih mora" (2021.)

Travanjske kinonajave na stranici domaćeg lanca multipleksa donedavno su uključivale film "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" koji je oskarovac Nicolas Cage snimao kod nas, u Dubrovniku i okolici. Kako se postprodukcija metafilmske komedije otegnula, jamačno zbog korone, "The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent" je do daljnjega netragom nestao iz najava, ali na njegovo mjesto je kao alternativa uskočio drugi Cageov film – crnohumorni akcijski horor "Willy’s Wonderland".

Fanovi ekscentričnog glumca trebali bi biti zadovoljni: "Zabavni park noćnih mora" je premija u odnosu na Cageov u kinima friško viđeni "Jiu Jitsu", kao i većinu njegovih loših direktno-na-video (DTV), filmića poput nedavnog "Predatorskog instinkta". "Willy’s Wonderland" je više u približnom dometu "Mandy" i "Color Out Of Space", glumčevih recentnih filmova kultnog potencijala koji se domognu kina i festivala, tj. festivalskih sekcija zvanih "ponoćno ludilo".

Glumcu se mora priznati da s vremena na vrijeme uspije "ubosti" poneki dobar žanrovski uradak (akcija/SF/horor hibrid) više ili manje suludog koncepta, kao stvoren za ispoljavanje nesuzdržanog "Cage rage" ludila i stvaranje "GIF" klipova, što ga održava na površini da ne padne na samo dno DTV bezdana.

Nije "Zabavni park noćnih mora" dobar-dobar kao "Mandy", ali zato ima luđi koncept i luđeg Cagea, predstavljajući ga, s druge strane, u nešto drukčijem izdanju no inače u liku akcijskog lutalice, "jednog opakog frajera". Film koji se reklamira krilaticom "2020. nije gotova, djeco", sugerirajući ludilo, koncipiran je ovako...

Kad Cageov neimenovani, bezimeni lik (u kreditima zaveden samo kao Domar) naleti automobilom na šiljke nedaleko malog američkog grada mračne prošlosti, on pristaje provesti noć čisteći lokalni napušteni zabavni park "Willy’s Wonderland" u zamjenu za nove gume jer nema gotovine da plati popravak, samo karticu, a jedini bankomat je izvan funkcije.

Naravno, šiljci bi trebali sumnjivi svakome tko je gledao horor "Pogrešno skretanje", ali Cageova lika to ne priječi da pristane na nagodbu i preuzme ulogu domara, dapače. Nakon što uđe u zabavni park, on se ne sekira puno shvativši da su ga lokalci zaključali i prepustili na nemilost oživjelim animatroničkim lutkama (gorila, lasica...), očekujući da će ga monstrumi ubiti, kao neke zatočene nesretnike s početka filma. Vraga, Cageov lik će ubiti njih.

"On nije zatočen ovdje s njima, oni su zatočeni ovdje s njim", zaključit će mlada djevojka Liv (Emily Tosta) kad s društvom dođe spaliti zabavni park do temelja i tamo zatekne Domara kojeg ne treba spasiti, kako je prvotno mislila. Liv je tu da ispriča mitologiju "Willy's Wonderlanda", a pojava njezina društva podrazumijeva klasične klišeje iz horora osamdesetih tipa "Petak 13." ili "Strava u Ulici brijestova".

Tako, jedan mladić i djevojka (Terayle Hill, Caylee Cowan) odluče se poseksati na ukletom mjestu, ignorirajući eminentnu opasnost, za što će, dakako, biti krvavo kažnjeni od strane lutkarsko-robotskih Jasona i Freddyja. Ipak, svaki put kad se priča vrati Cageovu liku i bude fokusirana na njega, film je luda kuća, pod uvjetom da ga ne uzimate zaozbiljno i prihvaćate takvog kakav jest, kao što radi i on sam (ne shvaća sebe ozbiljno, isporučuje točno što se od njega očekuje).

Cage jest film, odnosno "Zabavni park noćnih mora" je konceptualno zgodno prelomljen preko njega i njegova akcijskog lika koji svakih sat vremena ispija limenku energetskog pića i ubija boga u zlim robotskim lutkama. Igrajući videoigru "Five Nights At Freddy's", redatelj Kevin Lewis i scenarist G.O. Parsons pitali su se što bi bilo da se stoički akcijaš "clinteastwoodovskog" kalibra nađe u "cirkuskom" hororu s motivom zabavnog parka tipa "Funhouse" Tobea Hoopera.

Odgovor su isporučili u filmu "Willy's Wonderland" koji je napravio dvije subverzije. Pretvorio je bezazlene lutke u stilu Jima Hensona ("Muppeti") u krvožedne monstrume, a Cagea načinio šutljivijim od Eastwoodova Čovjeka bez imena i Kurt Russellova "Vojnika".

Naime, Cage nije progovorio nijednu jedinu riječ tokom filma, iako slovi za glumca vječito spremna da se poigrava intonacijama prilikom izgovaranja dijaloga, čak i da neke rečenice zapjeva poput pjesme. "Zabavni park noćnih mora" uspijeva šutke verbalizirati "cageovsko" ludilo.

Cage je početkom ove godine imao i premijeru jednog filma na Sundance festivalu, "Prisoners Of Ghostland". Bilo bi dobro i njega vidjeti u kinima u učekivanju "The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent".

"Samo si trebao umrijeti, zar je to bilo tako teško?" – "Zabavni park noćnih mora" (2021.)

Travanjske kinonajave na stranici domaćeg lanca multipleksa donedavno su uključivale film "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" koji je oskarovac Nicolas Cage snimao kod nas, u Dubrovniku i okolici. Kako se postprodukcija metafilmske komedije otegnula, jamačno zbog korone, "The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent" je do daljnjega netragom nestao iz najava, ali na njegovo mjesto je kao alternativa uskočio drugi Cageov film – crnohumorni akcijski horor "Willy’s Wonderland".

Fanovi ekscentričnog glumca trebali bi biti zadovoljni: "Zabavni park noćnih mora" je premija u odnosu na Cageov u kinima friško viđeni "Jiu Jitsu", kao i većinu njegovih loših direktno-na-video (DTV), filmića poput nedavnog "Predatorskog instinkta". "Willy’s Wonderland" je više u približnom dometu "Mandy" i "Color Out Of Space", glumčevih recentnih filmova kultnog potencijala koji se domognu kina i festivala, tj. festivalskih sekcija zvanih "ponoćno ludilo".

Glumcu se mora priznati da s vremena na vrijeme uspije "ubosti" poneki dobar žanrovski uradak (akcija/SF/horor hibrid) više ili manje suludog koncepta, kao stvoren za ispoljavanje nesuzdržanog "Cage rage" ludila i stvaranje "GIF" klipova, što ga održava na površini da ne padne na samo dno DTV bezdana.

Nije "Zabavni park noćnih mora" dobar-dobar kao "Mandy", ali zato ima luđi koncept i luđeg Cagea, predstavljajući ga, s druge strane, u nešto drukčijem izdanju no inače u liku akcijskog lutalice, "jednog opakog frajera". Film koji se reklamira krilaticom "2020. nije gotova, djeco", sugerirajući ludilo, koncipiran je ovako...

Kad Cageov neimenovani, bezimeni lik (u kreditima zaveden samo kao Domar) naleti automobilom na šiljke nedaleko malog američkog grada mračne prošlosti, on pristaje provesti noć čisteći lokalni napušteni zabavni park "Willy’s Wonderland" u zamjenu za nove gume jer nema gotovine da plati popravak, samo karticu, a jedini bankomat je izvan funkcije.

Naravno, šiljci bi trebali sumnjivi svakome tko je gledao horor "Pogrešno skretanje", ali Cageova lika to ne priječi da pristane na nagodbu i preuzme ulogu domara, dapače. Nakon što uđe u zabavni park, on se ne sekira puno shvativši da su ga lokalci zaključali i prepustili na nemilost oživjelim animatroničkim lutkama (gorila, lasica...), očekujući da će ga monstrumi ubiti, kao neke zatočene nesretnike s početka filma. Vraga, Cageov lik će ubiti njih.

"On nije zatočen ovdje s njima, oni su zatočeni ovdje s njim", zaključit će mlada djevojka Liv (Emily Tosta) kad s društvom dođe spaliti zabavni park do temelja i tamo zatekne Domara kojeg ne treba spasiti, kako je prvotno mislila. Liv je tu da ispriča mitologiju "Willy's Wonderlanda", a pojava njezina društva podrazumijeva klasične klišeje iz horora osamdesetih tipa "Petak 13." ili "Strava u Ulici brijestova".

Tako, jedan mladić i djevojka (Terayle Hill, Caylee Cowan) odluče se poseksati na ukletom mjestu, ignorirajući eminentnu opasnost, za što će, dakako, biti krvavo kažnjeni od strane lutkarsko-robotskih Jasona i Freddyja. Ipak, svaki put kad se priča vrati Cageovu liku i bude fokusirana na njega, film je luda kuća, pod uvjetom da ga ne uzimate zaozbiljno i prihvaćate takvog kakav jest, kao što radi i on sam (ne shvaća sebe ozbiljno, isporučuje točno što se od njega očekuje).

Cage jest film, odnosno "Zabavni park noćnih mora" je konceptualno zgodno prelomljen preko njega i njegova akcijskog lika koji svakih sat vremena ispija limenku energetskog pića i ubija boga u zlim robotskim lutkama. Igrajući videoigru "Five Nights At Freddy's", redatelj Kevin Lewis i scenarist G.O. Parsons pitali su se što bi bilo da se stoički akcijaš "clinteastwoodovskog" kalibra nađe u "cirkuskom" hororu s motivom zabavnog parka tipa "Funhouse" Tobea Hoopera.

Odgovor su isporučili u filmu "Willy's Wonderland" koji je napravio dvije subverzije. Pretvorio je bezazlene lutke u stilu Jima Hensona ("Muppeti") u krvožedne monstrume, a Cagea načinio šutljivijim od Eastwoodova Čovjeka bez imena i Kurt Russellova "Vojnika".

Naime, Cage nije progovorio nijednu jedinu riječ tokom filma, iako slovi za glumca vječito spremna da se poigrava intonacijama prilikom izgovaranja dijaloga, čak i da neke rečenice zapjeva poput pjesme. "Zabavni park noćnih mora" uspijeva šutke verbalizirati "cageovsko" ludilo.

Cage je početkom ove godine imao i premijeru jednog filma na Sundance festivalu, "Prisoners Of Ghostland". Bilo bi dobro i njega vidjeti u kinima u učekivanju "The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent".
