Rusija se okreće "vojsci očeva", moglo bi se reći i – djedova, kako bi muškarci u ozbiljnim godinama zamijenili vojnike koji su poginuli u žestokim borbama u Ukrajini – javlja "Times", a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.
Ruska vojska regrutira dobrovoljce sve do 60 godina, nakon što su pretrpjeli teške gubitke tijekom šest tjedana borbi diljem Ukrajine. Vojska želi da se bivši vojnici, koji se približavaju mirovini i po civilnim kriterijima, vrate u postrojbe u dva sibirska grada, Čeljabinsku i Tjumenju – piše "Times", pozivajući se na ruske medije.
Zapovjednici tenkova, snajperisti i inženjeri među pozicijama su koje Kremlj posebno želi popuniti. Svatko tko se odazove pridružit će se broju od otprilike 60.000 rezervista koji su nedavno pozvani u aktivnu službu, uglavnom iz etničkih manjina i područja tisućama milja udaljenih od Moskve, a regrutirano je i 134.500 novih ročnika.
Otprilike četvrtinu ruske vojske čine ročnici, muškarci između 18 i 27 godina koji obično služe jednu godinu. Stručnjaci za obranu rekli su da će neiskusni tinejdžeri poslani u Ukrajinu ići u "klaonicu", a Kremlj je obećao da neće slati nove regrute na "goruća mjesta" sukoba.
Do ove regrutacije dolazi u trenutku kad NATO procjenjuje da je možda i 15.000 ruskih vojnika poginulo dosad u ratu. Ukrajinsko ministarstvo obrane priopćilo je da bi broj poginulih mogao biti i do 18.300.
Republike Kalmikija, Ingušetija i Dagestan među regijama su odakle Kremlj najviše regrutira zamjene za vojnike koji su ubijeni ili ranjeni, prema tvrdnji ukrajinskih obavještajnih službi. Kalmikija je pretežno budistička republika, dok su u Ingušetiji i Dagestanu većinom muslimani.
Emily Ferris, analitičarka specijalizirana za Rusiju na Institutu Royal United Services, rekla je da se Putin u ovom postupku nesrazmjerno oslanja na etničke manjine, podsjećajući da su čečenske snage već raspoređene "na ratna žarišta".
"Većina Rusa nije baš od volje sudjelovati u urbanim ratovima u kojima vidje da su ljudi s kojima se bore Slaveni. U puno slučajeva Ukrajinci imaju obitelji u obje zemlje i izgledaju vrlo slično Rusima", rekla je.
Osim što se oslanja na svoje rezerviste, zapadne obavještajne službe kažu da Rusija preraspoređuje neke od svojih postojećih snaga iz Abhazije i Južne Osetije, dvije otcijepljene regije Gruzije, kako bi pojačala invaziju na Ukrajinu.

Rusija se okreće "vojsci očeva", moglo bi se reći i – djedova, kako bi muškarci u ozbiljnim godinama zamijenili vojnike koji su poginuli u žestokim borbama u Ukrajini – javlja "Times", a prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.
Ruska vojska regrutira dobrovoljce sve do 60 godina, nakon što su pretrpjeli teške gubitke tijekom šest tjedana borbi diljem Ukrajine. Vojska želi da se bivši vojnici, koji se približavaju mirovini i po civilnim kriterijima, vrate u postrojbe u dva sibirska grada, Čeljabinsku i Tjumenju – piše "Times", pozivajući se na ruske medije.
Zapovjednici tenkova, snajperisti i inženjeri među pozicijama su koje Kremlj posebno želi popuniti. Svatko tko se odazove pridružit će se broju od otprilike 60.000 rezervista koji su nedavno pozvani u aktivnu službu, uglavnom iz etničkih manjina i područja tisućama milja udaljenih od Moskve, a regrutirano je i 134.500 novih ročnika.
Otprilike četvrtinu ruske vojske čine ročnici, muškarci između 18 i 27 godina koji obično služe jednu godinu. Stručnjaci za obranu rekli su da će neiskusni tinejdžeri poslani u Ukrajinu ići u "klaonicu", a Kremlj je obećao da neće slati nove regrute na "goruća mjesta" sukoba.
Do ove regrutacije dolazi u trenutku kad NATO procjenjuje da je možda i 15.000 ruskih vojnika poginulo dosad u ratu. Ukrajinsko ministarstvo obrane priopćilo je da bi broj poginulih mogao biti i do 18.300.
Republike Kalmikija, Ingušetija i Dagestan među regijama su odakle Kremlj najviše regrutira zamjene za vojnike koji su ubijeni ili ranjeni, prema tvrdnji ukrajinskih obavještajnih službi. Kalmikija je pretežno budistička republika, dok su u Ingušetiji i Dagestanu većinom muslimani.
Emily Ferris, analitičarka specijalizirana za Rusiju na Institutu Royal United Services, rekla je da se Putin u ovom postupku nesrazmjerno oslanja na etničke manjine, podsjećajući da su čečenske snage već raspoređene "na ratna žarišta".
"Većina Rusa nije baš od volje sudjelovati u urbanim ratovima u kojima vidje da su ljudi s kojima se bore Slaveni. U puno slučajeva Ukrajinci imaju obitelji u obje zemlje i izgledaju vrlo slično Rusima", rekla je.
Osim što se oslanja na svoje rezerviste, zapadne obavještajne službe kažu da Rusija preraspoređuje neke od svojih postojećih snaga iz Abhazije i Južne Osetije, dvije otcijepljene regije Gruzije, kako bi pojačala invaziju na Ukrajinu.
