Grebaštica je naselje u blizini Šibenika. Zaštitni znak tog mjesta, ujedno povijesno-kulturna znamenitost, je bedem na poluotoku Oštrica. Svojim istaknutim mjestom u vizuri naselja privlači brojne posjetitelje i turiste. Mnogo toga u vezi bedema nije jasno. Iako se smatralo da je podignut u 15. stoljeću, neki podaci govore da su na istom mjestu vjerojatno bile zidine starijega datuma. Usto, stručnjaci Tvrđave kulture Šibenik u bedemu su nedavno opazili i zazidana vrata, piše HRT.
Vrata u zidinama s kopnene strane nemoguće je opaziti, a teško im je i pristupiti. No, koliko se otvor i koristio prije nego je zazidan, ne zna se. Naime, s južne strane u arheološkim je istraživanjima otkriveno privezište za brodove.
- Pretpostavljamo da su morski put koristili kao primarni put da bi došli na ovu lokaciju, ali ovo otkriće govori da je također postojala nekakva kopnena komunikacija koju mi dosad nismo uočili čak i na starim nekim fotografijama ili grafikama, kaže Andrija Nakić, arheolog, Tvrđava kulture Šibenik.

Prolaz bi mogao biti i dio zagonetke o godini gradnje. Smatralo se, naime, da su bedem podignuli Mlečani 1497., no raniji zapisi govore i o postojanju "murate", odnosno prezida.
- Zid je zapravo dograđen krajem 15. stoljeća, to znamo po jednom naputku koji je mletački dužd poslao u Šibenik i nekim sredstvima koji je on odobrio o dogradnji zida, kada je zid podignut, povišen, pojašnjava Josip Pavić, povjesničar.
Lokalnom je stanovništvu pružao sigurnost i tipičan je obrambeni sustav u vrijeme osmanskih osvajanja.
- U ovoj situaciji na Oštrici je na jako povoljno mjestu i vrlo je jeftina i česta obrana na ovim prostorima, pogotovo u to doba osmanske opasnosti 15.-16. stoljeće kada su ti napadi bili svakogodišnji, govori Josip Pavić.
Do danas zid je sačuvan gotovo u punoj dužini, dominira okolišem i jedan je od simbola Grebaštice.
- Bedem te crkvica Svetog Duha koja se nalazi u blizini su zaštićena kulturna dobra Republike Hrvatske, a dio nakon bedema je također dio zaštićene europske mreže pod nazivom Natura 2000., ističe Danijela Svirčić, TZ Grebaštica.
Poluotok Oštrica krije još tajni, pronađeni su ondje ostaci kasnoantičke "vile rustice", te tragovi iz raznih razdoblja, od Rima do Novoga vijeka.

Grebaštica je naselje u blizini Šibenika. Zaštitni znak tog mjesta, ujedno povijesno-kulturna znamenitost, je bedem na poluotoku Oštrica. Svojim istaknutim mjestom u vizuri naselja privlači brojne posjetitelje i turiste. Mnogo toga u vezi bedema nije jasno. Iako se smatralo da je podignut u 15. stoljeću, neki podaci govore da su na istom mjestu vjerojatno bile zidine starijega datuma. Usto, stručnjaci Tvrđave kulture Šibenik u bedemu su nedavno opazili i zazidana vrata, piše HRT.
Vrata u zidinama s kopnene strane nemoguće je opaziti, a teško im je i pristupiti. No, koliko se otvor i koristio prije nego je zazidan, ne zna se. Naime, s južne strane u arheološkim je istraživanjima otkriveno privezište za brodove.
- Pretpostavljamo da su morski put koristili kao primarni put da bi došli na ovu lokaciju, ali ovo otkriće govori da je također postojala nekakva kopnena komunikacija koju mi dosad nismo uočili čak i na starim nekim fotografijama ili grafikama, kaže Andrija Nakić, arheolog, Tvrđava kulture Šibenik.

Prolaz bi mogao biti i dio zagonetke o godini gradnje. Smatralo se, naime, da su bedem podignuli Mlečani 1497., no raniji zapisi govore i o postojanju "murate", odnosno prezida.
- Zid je zapravo dograđen krajem 15. stoljeća, to znamo po jednom naputku koji je mletački dužd poslao u Šibenik i nekim sredstvima koji je on odobrio o dogradnji zida, kada je zid podignut, povišen, pojašnjava Josip Pavić, povjesničar.
Lokalnom je stanovništvu pružao sigurnost i tipičan je obrambeni sustav u vrijeme osmanskih osvajanja.
- U ovoj situaciji na Oštrici je na jako povoljno mjestu i vrlo je jeftina i česta obrana na ovim prostorima, pogotovo u to doba osmanske opasnosti 15.-16. stoljeće kada su ti napadi bili svakogodišnji, govori Josip Pavić.
Do danas zid je sačuvan gotovo u punoj dužini, dominira okolišem i jedan je od simbola Grebaštice.
- Bedem te crkvica Svetog Duha koja se nalazi u blizini su zaštićena kulturna dobra Republike Hrvatske, a dio nakon bedema je također dio zaštićene europske mreže pod nazivom Natura 2000., ističe Danijela Svirčić, TZ Grebaštica.
Poluotok Oštrica krije još tajni, pronađeni su ondje ostaci kasnoantičke "vile rustice", te tragovi iz raznih razdoblja, od Rima do Novoga vijeka.
