U Izložbenoj dvorani Državnog arhiva u Zadru danas je otvorena izložba „Najduže putovanje - Prva plovidba oko svijeta/El viaje más largo - La primera vuelta al mundo“, koja prikazuje putovanje koje je prije 500 godina započeo Ferdinand Magellan, a nakon tri godine dovršilo ga 18 mornara od ukupno 245 onih koji su 1519. godine krenuli iz Seville.

Izložba kronološki opisuje kako je tekao cijeli pothvat vezan za organizaciju i realizaciju te nesvakidašnje avanture, no osim datuma, činjenica i brojki, ona publici otkriva i ljudsku stranu pomoraca koji su sanjali o do tada nezamislivom putovanju, krenuli u nepoznato.

- Ova avantura svjedoči o hrabrosti i izdržljivosti ljudi koji su morali raditi kao tim da bi uspjeli. U tri godine prešli su 70.000 kilometara, što je bilo najduže putovanje na svijetu sve do početka istraživanja svemira, istaknuo je zamjenik španjolskog veleposlanika Mikel Iris Ivchenko, koji je iz Zagreba došao na otvaranje izložbe.

Kako je istaknuo domaćin izložbe, ravnatelj Državnog arhiva u Zadru Ante Gverić, izložba nije postavljena kao arhivska, jer se radi o plakatima, ali je jednim dijelom postala nakon dolaska u Hrvatsku. Naime, u dubrovačkom arhivu nakon postavljanja otkrili su prijepis pisama dvojice članova ove hrabre ekspedicije, jedno od njih kao jedini poznati sačuvani primjerak, nakon čega su fotografije pisama pridružene postavu.

Prigodno predavanje o ekspediciji održao je prorektor Sveučilišta u Zadru prof. dr. sc. Josip Faričić.

- U srednjem vijeku pretpostavljalo se da Zemlja ima oblik kugle, a ne da je ravna ploča, što je samo mit. Međutim, imali su pogrešnu percepciju veličine. Prostorne relacije pretvorile su se u vremenske, pa je tako prvo putovanje trajalo tri godine. Ekspedicija je Europljanima cijeli svijet dala nadohvat ruke, otvorila trgovačke puteve ali i donijela veliki napredak na području kartografije, istaknuo je Faričić.

Izložbu organizira Državni arhiv u Zadru u suradnji sa Odjelom za hispanistiku i iberske studije Sveučilišta u Zadru i Veleposlanstvom Kraljevine Španjolske. Ulaz je slobodan a može razgledati svakim radnim danom od 10 do 13 sati.

U Izložbenoj dvorani Državnog arhiva u Zadru danas je otvorena izložba „Najduže putovanje - Prva plovidba oko svijeta/El viaje más largo - La primera vuelta al mundo“, koja prikazuje putovanje koje je prije 500 godina započeo Ferdinand Magellan, a nakon tri godine dovršilo ga 18 mornara od ukupno 245 onih koji su 1519. godine krenuli iz Seville.

Izložba kronološki opisuje kako je tekao cijeli pothvat vezan za organizaciju i realizaciju te nesvakidašnje avanture, no osim datuma, činjenica i brojki, ona publici otkriva i ljudsku stranu pomoraca koji su sanjali o do tada nezamislivom putovanju, krenuli u nepoznato.

- Ova avantura svjedoči o hrabrosti i izdržljivosti ljudi koji su morali raditi kao tim da bi uspjeli. U tri godine prešli su 70.000 kilometara, što je bilo najduže putovanje na svijetu sve do početka istraživanja svemira, istaknuo je zamjenik španjolskog veleposlanika Mikel Iris Ivchenko, koji je iz Zagreba došao na otvaranje izložbe.

Kako je istaknuo domaćin izložbe, ravnatelj Državnog arhiva u Zadru Ante Gverić, izložba nije postavljena kao arhivska, jer se radi o plakatima, ali je jednim dijelom postala nakon dolaska u Hrvatsku. Naime, u dubrovačkom arhivu nakon postavljanja otkrili su prijepis pisama dvojice članova ove hrabre ekspedicije, jedno od njih kao jedini poznati sačuvani primjerak, nakon čega su fotografije pisama pridružene postavu.

Prigodno predavanje o ekspediciji održao je prorektor Sveučilišta u Zadru prof. dr. sc. Josip Faričić.

- U srednjem vijeku pretpostavljalo se da Zemlja ima oblik kugle, a ne da je ravna ploča, što je samo mit. Međutim, imali su pogrešnu percepciju veličine. Prostorne relacije pretvorile su se u vremenske, pa je tako prvo putovanje trajalo tri godine. Ekspedicija je Europljanima cijeli svijet dala nadohvat ruke, otvorila trgovačke puteve ali i donijela veliki napredak na području kartografije, istaknuo je Faričić.

Izložbu organizira Državni arhiv u Zadru u suradnji sa Odjelom za hispanistiku i iberske studije Sveučilišta u Zadru i Veleposlanstvom Kraljevine Španjolske. Ulaz je slobodan a može razgledati svakim radnim danom od 10 do 13 sati.

Otvorena izložba „Prva plovidba oko svijeta". Do odlaska u svemir bilo je to najduže putovanje u povijesti...

U Izložbenoj dvorani Državnog arhiva u Zadru danas je otvorena izložba „Najduže putovanje - Prva plovidba oko svijeta/El viaje más largo - La primera vuelta al mundo“, koja prikazuje putovanje koje je prije 500 godina započeo Ferdinand Magellan, a nakon tri godine dovršilo ga 18 mornara od ukupno 245 onih koji su 1519. godine krenuli iz Seville.

Izložba kronološki opisuje kako je tekao cijeli pothvat vezan za organizaciju i realizaciju te nesvakidašnje avanture, no osim datuma, činjenica i brojki, ona publici otkriva i ljudsku stranu pomoraca koji su sanjali o do tada nezamislivom putovanju, krenuli u nepoznato.

- Ova avantura svjedoči o hrabrosti i izdržljivosti ljudi koji su morali raditi kao tim da bi uspjeli. U tri godine prešli su 70.000 kilometara, što je bilo najduže putovanje na svijetu sve do početka istraživanja svemira, istaknuo je zamjenik španjolskog veleposlanika Mikel Iris Ivchenko, koji je iz Zagreba došao na otvaranje izložbe.

Kako je istaknuo domaćin izložbe, ravnatelj Državnog arhiva u Zadru Ante Gverić, izložba nije postavljena kao arhivska, jer se radi o plakatima, ali je jednim dijelom postala nakon dolaska u Hrvatsku. Naime, u dubrovačkom arhivu nakon postavljanja otkrili su prijepis pisama dvojice članova ove hrabre ekspedicije, jedno od njih kao jedini poznati sačuvani primjerak, nakon čega su fotografije pisama pridružene postavu.

Prigodno predavanje o ekspediciji održao je prorektor Sveučilišta u Zadru prof. dr. sc. Josip Faričić.

- U srednjem vijeku pretpostavljalo se da Zemlja ima oblik kugle, a ne da je ravna ploča, što je samo mit. Međutim, imali su pogrešnu percepciju veličine. Prostorne relacije pretvorile su se u vremenske, pa je tako prvo putovanje trajalo tri godine. Ekspedicija je Europljanima cijeli svijet dala nadohvat ruke, otvorila trgovačke puteve ali i donijela veliki napredak na području kartografije, istaknuo je Faričić.

Izložbu organizira Državni arhiv u Zadru u suradnji sa Odjelom za hispanistiku i iberske studije Sveučilišta u Zadru i Veleposlanstvom Kraljevine Španjolske. Ulaz je slobodan a može razgledati svakim radnim danom od 10 do 13 sati.
