Majka četvero djece u Teksasu odbila je cijepiti se protiv covida-19, ali nakon što je izgubila supruga i sama se zarazila koronavirusom, njezina posljednja želja bila je da joj cijepe djecu, prenosi HINA.

Lydia Rodriguez (42), učiteljica klavira u gradiću La Marque umrla je u ponedjeljak, dva tjedna nakon što je njezin suprug Lawrence (49) podlegao virusu. 

Njezina rođakinja Dottie Jones rekla je lokalnoj televiziju ABC13 da par nije vjerovao u cjepiva.

Kad je Rodriguez promijenila mišljenje, bilo je prekasno. 

- Prije nego što je intubirana, jedna od posljednjih stvari koje je izgovorila sestri bila je 'Pobrinite se molim vas da mi se djeca cijepe' - rekla je Jones.

- Bila bi sada uz svoju djecu da se cijepila - dodala je.

Par je bio među desecima milijuna Amerikanaca koji još nisu primili ni jednu dozu cjepiva protiv koronavirusa, dok se delta varijanta brzo širi u zemlji. 

Samo 59,6 posto Amerikanaca koji zadovoljavaju uvjete za cijepljenje, potpuno su cijepljeni jer se vladina masovna kampanja imunizacije suočava s otporom politički konzervativnih država poput Teksasa.

Američki dužnosnici ovaj tjedan odobrili su treću dozu cjepiva za sve odrasle Amerikance. Treća doza bit će dostupna krajem rujna. 

Jones, medicinska sestra, rekla je da je pokušala nagovoriti rođakinju Rodriguez da se cijepi, ali bezuspješno. 

- Slama mi srce što ljudi vjeruju u dezinformacije - rekla je.

- Dezinformacije ubijaju ljude i mi moramo razotkriti istinu - dodala je.

Jones je organizirala kampanju za pomoć djeci umrlog para i odlučila proširiti tu priču u javnosti i uvjeriti ljude da se cijepe. 

- To se zaista događa u našoj obitelji i to je istinita priča onoga što se može dogoditi - rekla je Jones.

- Ne pokušavam zastrašiti ljude, samo želim da shvate da je virus stvaran i da je delta varijanta brutalnija od svega što smo vidjeli - naglasila je Jones.

U Teksasu, jednoj od najvećih američkih saveznih država, delta je dominantni soj virusa, a broj umrlih je naglo porastao, većinom među onima koji nisu cijepljeni, piše AFP.

Majka četvero djece u Teksasu odbila je cijepiti se protiv covida-19, ali nakon što je izgubila supruga i sama se zarazila koronavirusom, njezina posljednja želja bila je da joj cijepe djecu, prenosi HINA.

Lydia Rodriguez (42), učiteljica klavira u gradiću La Marque umrla je u ponedjeljak, dva tjedna nakon što je njezin suprug Lawrence (49) podlegao virusu. 

Njezina rođakinja Dottie Jones rekla je lokalnoj televiziju ABC13 da par nije vjerovao u cjepiva.

Kad je Rodriguez promijenila mišljenje, bilo je prekasno. 

- Prije nego što je intubirana, jedna od posljednjih stvari koje je izgovorila sestri bila je 'Pobrinite se molim vas da mi se djeca cijepe' - rekla je Jones.

- Bila bi sada uz svoju djecu da se cijepila - dodala je.

Par je bio među desecima milijuna Amerikanaca koji još nisu primili ni jednu dozu cjepiva protiv koronavirusa, dok se delta varijanta brzo širi u zemlji. 

Samo 59,6 posto Amerikanaca koji zadovoljavaju uvjete za cijepljenje, potpuno su cijepljeni jer se vladina masovna kampanja imunizacije suočava s otporom politički konzervativnih država poput Teksasa.

Američki dužnosnici ovaj tjedan odobrili su treću dozu cjepiva za sve odrasle Amerikance. Treća doza bit će dostupna krajem rujna. 

Jones, medicinska sestra, rekla je da je pokušala nagovoriti rođakinju Rodriguez da se cijepi, ali bezuspješno. 

- Slama mi srce što ljudi vjeruju u dezinformacije - rekla je.

- Dezinformacije ubijaju ljude i mi moramo razotkriti istinu - dodala je.

Jones je organizirala kampanju za pomoć djeci umrlog para i odlučila proširiti tu priču u javnosti i uvjeriti ljude da se cijepe. 

- To se zaista događa u našoj obitelji i to je istinita priča onoga što se može dogoditi - rekla je Jones.

- Ne pokušavam zastrašiti ljude, samo želim da shvate da je virus stvaran i da je delta varijanta brutalnija od svega što smo vidjeli - naglasila je Jones.

U Teksasu, jednoj od najvećih američkih saveznih država, delta je dominantni soj virusa, a broj umrlih je naglo porastao, većinom među onima koji nisu cijepljeni, piše AFP.

Antivakserica umrla od koronavirusa, na samrti poručila sestri: ‘Pobrinite se, molim vas, da mi se djeca cijepe‘

Majka četvero djece u Teksasu odbila je cijepiti se protiv covida-19, ali nakon što je izgubila supruga i sama se zarazila koronavirusom, njezina posljednja želja bila je da joj cijepe djecu, prenosi HINA.

Lydia Rodriguez (42), učiteljica klavira u gradiću La Marque umrla je u ponedjeljak, dva tjedna nakon što je njezin suprug Lawrence (49) podlegao virusu. 

Njezina rođakinja Dottie Jones rekla je lokalnoj televiziju ABC13 da par nije vjerovao u cjepiva.

Kad je Rodriguez promijenila mišljenje, bilo je prekasno. 

- Prije nego što je intubirana, jedna od posljednjih stvari koje je izgovorila sestri bila je 'Pobrinite se molim vas da mi se djeca cijepe' - rekla je Jones.

- Bila bi sada uz svoju djecu da se cijepila - dodala je.

Par je bio među desecima milijuna Amerikanaca koji još nisu primili ni jednu dozu cjepiva protiv koronavirusa, dok se delta varijanta brzo širi u zemlji. 

Samo 59,6 posto Amerikanaca koji zadovoljavaju uvjete za cijepljenje, potpuno su cijepljeni jer se vladina masovna kampanja imunizacije suočava s otporom politički konzervativnih država poput Teksasa.

Američki dužnosnici ovaj tjedan odobrili su treću dozu cjepiva za sve odrasle Amerikance. Treća doza bit će dostupna krajem rujna. 

Jones, medicinska sestra, rekla je da je pokušala nagovoriti rođakinju Rodriguez da se cijepi, ali bezuspješno. 

- Slama mi srce što ljudi vjeruju u dezinformacije - rekla je.

- Dezinformacije ubijaju ljude i mi moramo razotkriti istinu - dodala je.

Jones je organizirala kampanju za pomoć djeci umrlog para i odlučila proširiti tu priču u javnosti i uvjeriti ljude da se cijepe. 

- To se zaista događa u našoj obitelji i to je istinita priča onoga što se može dogoditi - rekla je Jones.

- Ne pokušavam zastrašiti ljude, samo želim da shvate da je virus stvaran i da je delta varijanta brutalnija od svega što smo vidjeli - naglasila je Jones.

U Teksasu, jednoj od najvećih američkih saveznih država, delta je dominantni soj virusa, a broj umrlih je naglo porastao, većinom među onima koji nisu cijepljeni, piše AFP.
