Šivana "paška čipka“ nije se mijenjala od vremena renesanse do kraja 19. stoljeća. Javlja se na prostoru grada Paga i dio je tradicionalno tekstilnog rukotvorstva.

Osnovni motiv je gotički četverolist. Čipkom se oblikovalo oglavlje tradicijske ženske nošnje grada Paga. Benediktinke Samostana sv. Margarite u Pagu čipku su koristile za potrebe liturgijskog ruha, a i same su podučavale Paškinje vezu, pa su 1840. godine pokrenule i školu učenja čipkarstva. Paška čipka je zajedno s lepoglavskom i hvarskom čipkom, uvrštena 2009. godine na Reprezentativnu listu nematerijalne kulturne baštine čovječanstva UNESCO-a.

Paška čipka je kulturno dobro o čijoj važnosti kao kulturnog dobra postoji vrlo visoka svijest i u suvremenom hrvatskom društvu, a posebno u samom gradu Pagu. Ovo kulturno dobro je vrlo dobro čuvano ne samo u Etnološkom odjelu Narodnog muzeja Zadar već i u samom gradu Pagu. Osim toga tekstilni predmeti s paškom čipkom čuvaju se i u Etnografskom muzeju u Splitu i Zagrebu te u Beču.

Muzejski način čuvanja je pasivni način čuvanja, a aktivni način čuvanja je upoznavanje sa šivanjem paške čipke. Tako se ono u samom gradu Pagu podučava već od prvog razreda osnovne škole, a postoji i dvogodišnja škola u kojoj se podučava paška čipka.

U Etnološkom odjelu Narodnog muzeja Zadar šiva se paška čipka za tabletić. Radionicu vode članice Udruge paških čipkarica Frane Budak. Paška čipka se danas obično nosi kao ukrasni detalj na odjeći, vrlo često se koriste i mali tabletići.

Kroz trideset sati polaznici ove radionice izrađuju rožeticu (rozetu) promjera osam centimetara što se smatra osnovom u usvajanju umijeća izrade paške čipke. Voditeljice kroz čitavu radionicu ukazuju na važnost uočavanja logičke povezanosti u stvaranju paške čipke.

Pribor za izradu paške čipke je sljedeći: tvrđi jastučić, kušin, dimenzija 25 cm x 35 cm, iglica, konac, škarice i kartončić, a nadasve strpljivost i pažljivost pri radu. Kartončić se prišiva za kušin te se kreće s badanjem, tj. s pravljenjem rupica u kartonu. Zatim se šinjiva, tj. postavlja se osnova, pa slijedi okmitanje, tj. bodom obametom se obrađuju štapi, a zatim se radi dintel, tj. nizanje boda na podlogu.

Nakon dintela slijedi retki dintel, složeniji bod (rupice). Početak rada je u sredini kartončića i počinje s izradom tzv. pogačice, a zatim se redaju ročelice (većinom  polukružni motiv ) i mendulice. 

Ovo su osnovni motivi. Može se koristiti dvadeset i dva motiva. Kad je čipka gotova skida se s kartona.

Šivana "paška čipka“ nije se mijenjala od vremena renesanse do kraja 19. stoljeća. Javlja se na prostoru grada Paga i dio je tradicionalno tekstilnog rukotvorstva.

Osnovni motiv je gotički četverolist. Čipkom se oblikovalo oglavlje tradicijske ženske nošnje grada Paga. Benediktinke Samostana sv. Margarite u Pagu čipku su koristile za potrebe liturgijskog ruha, a i same su podučavale Paškinje vezu, pa su 1840. godine pokrenule i školu učenja čipkarstva. Paška čipka je zajedno s lepoglavskom i hvarskom čipkom, uvrštena 2009. godine na Reprezentativnu listu nematerijalne kulturne baštine čovječanstva UNESCO-a.

Paška čipka je kulturno dobro o čijoj važnosti kao kulturnog dobra postoji vrlo visoka svijest i u suvremenom hrvatskom društvu, a posebno u samom gradu Pagu. Ovo kulturno dobro je vrlo dobro čuvano ne samo u Etnološkom odjelu Narodnog muzeja Zadar već i u samom gradu Pagu. Osim toga tekstilni predmeti s paškom čipkom čuvaju se i u Etnografskom muzeju u Splitu i Zagrebu te u Beču.

Muzejski način čuvanja je pasivni način čuvanja, a aktivni način čuvanja je upoznavanje sa šivanjem paške čipke. Tako se ono u samom gradu Pagu podučava već od prvog razreda osnovne škole, a postoji i dvogodišnja škola u kojoj se podučava paška čipka.

U Etnološkom odjelu Narodnog muzeja Zadar šiva se paška čipka za tabletić. Radionicu vode članice Udruge paških čipkarica Frane Budak. Paška čipka se danas obično nosi kao ukrasni detalj na odjeći, vrlo često se koriste i mali tabletići.

Kroz trideset sati polaznici ove radionice izrađuju rožeticu (rozetu) promjera osam centimetara što se smatra osnovom u usvajanju umijeća izrade paške čipke. Voditeljice kroz čitavu radionicu ukazuju na važnost uočavanja logičke povezanosti u stvaranju paške čipke.

Pribor za izradu paške čipke je sljedeći: tvrđi jastučić, kušin, dimenzija 25 cm x 35 cm, iglica, konac, škarice i kartončić, a nadasve strpljivost i pažljivost pri radu. Kartončić se prišiva za kušin te se kreće s badanjem, tj. s pravljenjem rupica u kartonu. Zatim se šinjiva, tj. postavlja se osnova, pa slijedi okmitanje, tj. bodom obametom se obrađuju štapi, a zatim se radi dintel, tj. nizanje boda na podlogu.

Nakon dintela slijedi retki dintel, složeniji bod (rupice). Početak rada je u sredini kartončića i počinje s izradom tzv. pogačice, a zatim se redaju ročelice (većinom  polukružni motiv ) i mendulice. 

Ovo su osnovni motivi. Može se koristiti dvadeset i dva motiva. Kad je čipka gotova skida se s kartona.

Šivana "paška čipka“ nije se mijenjala od vremena renesanse do kraja 19. stoljeća. Javlja se na prostoru grada Paga i dio je tradicionalno tekstilnog rukotvorstva.

Osnovni motiv je gotički četverolist. Čipkom se oblikovalo oglavlje tradicijske ženske nošnje grada Paga. Benediktinke Samostana sv. Margarite u Pagu čipku su koristile za potrebe liturgijskog ruha, a i same su podučavale Paškinje vezu, pa su 1840. godine pokrenule i školu učenja čipkarstva. Paška čipka je zajedno s lepoglavskom i hvarskom čipkom, uvrštena 2009. godine na Reprezentativnu listu nematerijalne kulturne baštine čovječanstva UNESCO-a.

Paška čipka je kulturno dobro o čijoj važnosti kao kulturnog dobra postoji vrlo visoka svijest i u suvremenom hrvatskom društvu, a posebno u samom gradu Pagu. Ovo kulturno dobro je vrlo dobro čuvano ne samo u Etnološkom odjelu Narodnog muzeja Zadar već i u samom gradu Pagu. Osim toga tekstilni predmeti s paškom čipkom čuvaju se i u Etnografskom muzeju u Splitu i Zagrebu te u Beču.

Muzejski način čuvanja je pasivni način čuvanja, a aktivni način čuvanja je upoznavanje sa šivanjem paške čipke. Tako se ono u samom gradu Pagu podučava već od prvog razreda osnovne škole, a postoji i dvogodišnja škola u kojoj se podučava paška čipka.

U Etnološkom odjelu Narodnog muzeja Zadar šiva se paška čipka za tabletić. Radionicu vode članice Udruge paških čipkarica Frane Budak. Paška čipka se danas obično nosi kao ukrasni detalj na odjeći, vrlo često se koriste i mali tabletići.

Kroz trideset sati polaznici ove radionice izrađuju rožeticu (rozetu) promjera osam centimetara što se smatra osnovom u usvajanju umijeća izrade paške čipke. Voditeljice kroz čitavu radionicu ukazuju na važnost uočavanja logičke povezanosti u stvaranju paške čipke.

Pribor za izradu paške čipke je sljedeći: tvrđi jastučić, kušin, dimenzija 25 cm x 35 cm, iglica, konac, škarice i kartončić, a nadasve strpljivost i pažljivost pri radu. Kartončić se prišiva za kušin te se kreće s badanjem, tj. s pravljenjem rupica u kartonu. Zatim se šinjiva, tj. postavlja se osnova, pa slijedi okmitanje, tj. bodom obametom se obrađuju štapi, a zatim se radi dintel, tj. nizanje boda na podlogu.
