Mihail Gorbačov, posljednji sovjetski vođa, bio je šokiran i zbunjen sukobom u Ukrajini u mjesecima prije nego što je umro, a posljednjih godina psihički shrvan sve lošijim vezama Moskve s Kijevom, rekao je njegov prevoditelj u četvrtak.

Pavel Palažčenko, koji je s pokojnim sovjetskim predsjednikom radio 37 godina i bio uz njega na brojnim američko-sovjetskim samitima, razgovarao je telefonski s Gorbačovom prije nekoliko tjedana, istaknuvši da su on i drugi bili zapanjeni s time koliko je Gorbačov traumatiziran događajima u Ukrajini.

"Ne samo (posebna vojna) operacija koja je započela 24. veljače, već cijela evolucija odnosa između Rusije i Ukrajine tijekom proteklih godina bili su stvarno, stvrano veliki udarac za njega. Stvarno ga je to shrvalo emocionalno i psihički", kazao je Palažčenko u intervjuu za Reuters.

"Bilo nam je vrlo očito u razgovorima s njim da je bio šokiran i zbunjen onim što se događa (nakon što su ruske trupe ušle u Ukrajinu u veljači) iz raznih razloga. Vjerovao je ne samo u bliskost ruskog i ukrajinskog naroda, već da se ta dva naroda isprepliću", dodao je.

Predsjednik Vladimir Putin rat punih razmjera, koji je započeo ruskom invazijom 24. veljače, naziva "posebnom vojnom operacijom".

Sedamdesettrogodišnji Palažčenko, koji radi u Zakladi Gorbačov, vidio je Gorbačova u posljednjih nekoliko mjeseci njegova života te je u kontaktu s njegovom kćerkom Irinom.

Gorbačovljev stav o Ukrajini bio je složen i kontradiktoran, kaže Palažčenko, jer je pokojni političar još uvijek vjerovao u ideju Sovjetskog Saveza.

Mihail Gorbačov, posljednji sovjetski vođa, bio je šokiran i zbunjen sukobom u Ukrajini u mjesecima prije nego što je umro, a posljednjih godina psihički shrvan sve lošijim vezama Moskve s Kijevom, rekao je njegov prevoditelj u četvrtak.

Pavel Palažčenko, koji je s pokojnim sovjetskim predsjednikom radio 37 godina i bio uz njega na brojnim američko-sovjetskim samitima, razgovarao je telefonski s Gorbačovom prije nekoliko tjedana, istaknuvši da su on i drugi bili zapanjeni s time koliko je Gorbačov traumatiziran događajima u Ukrajini.

"Ne samo (posebna vojna) operacija koja je započela 24. veljače, već cijela evolucija odnosa između Rusije i Ukrajine tijekom proteklih godina bili su stvarno, stvrano veliki udarac za njega. Stvarno ga je to shrvalo emocionalno i psihički", kazao je Palažčenko u intervjuu za Reuters.

"Bilo nam je vrlo očito u razgovorima s njim da je bio šokiran i zbunjen onim što se događa (nakon što su ruske trupe ušle u Ukrajinu u veljači) iz raznih razloga. Vjerovao je ne samo u bliskost ruskog i ukrajinskog naroda, već da se ta dva naroda isprepliću", dodao je.

Predsjednik Vladimir Putin rat punih razmjera, koji je započeo ruskom invazijom 24. veljače, naziva "posebnom vojnom operacijom".

Sedamdesettrogodišnji Palažčenko, koji radi u Zakladi Gorbačov, vidio je Gorbačova u posljednjih nekoliko mjeseci njegova života te je u kontaktu s njegovom kćerkom Irinom.

Gorbačovljev stav o Ukrajini bio je složen i kontradiktoran, kaže Palažčenko, jer je pokojni političar još uvijek vjerovao u ideju Sovjetskog Saveza.

Mihail Gorbačov, posljednji sovjetski vođa, bio je šokiran i zbunjen sukobom u Ukrajini u mjesecima prije nego što je umro, a posljednjih godina psihički shrvan sve lošijim vezama Moskve s Kijevom, rekao je njegov prevoditelj u četvrtak.

Pavel Palažčenko, koji je s pokojnim sovjetskim predsjednikom radio 37 godina i bio uz njega na brojnim američko-sovjetskim samitima, razgovarao je telefonski s Gorbačovom prije nekoliko tjedana, istaknuvši da su on i drugi bili zapanjeni s time koliko je Gorbačov traumatiziran događajima u Ukrajini.

"Ne samo (posebna vojna) operacija koja je započela 24. veljače, već cijela evolucija odnosa između Rusije i Ukrajine tijekom proteklih godina bili su stvarno, stvrano veliki udarac za njega. Stvarno ga je to shrvalo emocionalno i psihički", kaz...
