Andreas Carlsson (Švedska), Marko Čeko (Hrvatska), Ingar Kiplesund (Norveška), Thobias Montler (Švedska), Kristian Pulli (Finska), Filippo Randazzo (Italija), Ruwahl Sammai (JAR) i Antonino Trio (Italij). Startna je lista to skakača u dalj na današnjem mitingu Dijamantne lige u Stockholmu. Bio je to njegov san godinama.

Marko Čeko, atletičar iz Knina, konačno će i nastupiti na mitingu Dijamantne lige, na velikoj sceni. Čeko je ujedno i jedini hrvatski predstavnik u Stockholmu. A kako je on uopće došao na startnu listu jednog od najvećih svjetskih mitinga? Na Prvenstvu Hrvatske prije desetak dana ovaj je 20-godišnji kninski atletičar pobijedio u skoku u dalj s rezultatom 8,04 čime je postao tek četvrti Hrvat u povijesti koji je skočio osam metara i dalje. Taj je rezultat “u dlaku” isti skočio čak dvaput, a pobijedio je i u utrkama na 100 i 200 metara. Potvrdio je time svoj raskošni talent, ali odličan rezultat u svjetskim okvirina u skoku u dalj lansirao ga je eto sve do Stockholma.

- Sve mi je nekako čudno, prije mjesec dana nitko me nije spominjao, a sada me svi zivkaju - kazao je u razgovoru za “Slobodnu” Marko Čeko.

Jednim je rezultatom, ali zapravo dugogodišnjim napornim i marljivim radom, postao zvjezda. I sada se čeka da zasja i pod skandinavskim nebom. Njegova je disciplina na rasporedu u 15 sati i 14 minuta. Knin je na nogama, čekaju da vide koliko će njihov ljubimac skočiti sada.

Može li do rezultata koji bi bio olimpijska norma za Tokio koja iznosi 8,22 metra? Bilo bi to predivno, novo nevjerojatno poglavlje u najljepšoj atetskoj “korona-priči” do sada. Norme se “otključavaju” tek 1. studenog, ali bilo bi lijepo da Marko pokaže da je tu negdje. A samo centimetar dalje “sletio” je davno i Siniša Ergotić, na 8,23, to je i dalje hrvatski rekord, odavno nije bio ovako ugrožen.

Andreas Carlsson (Švedska), Marko Čeko (Hrvatska), Ingar Kiplesund (Norveška), Thobias Montler (Švedska), Kristian Pulli (Finska), Filippo Randazzo (Italija), Ruwahl Sammai (JAR) i Antonino Trio (Italij). Startna je lista to skakača u dalj na današnjem mitingu Dijamantne lige u Stockholmu. Bio je to njegov san godinama.

Marko Čeko, atletičar iz Knina, konačno će i nastupiti na mitingu Dijamantne lige, na velikoj sceni. Čeko je ujedno i jedini hrvatski predstavnik u Stockholmu. A kako je on uopće došao na startnu listu jednog od najvećih svjetskih mitinga? Na Prvenstvu Hrvatske prije desetak dana ovaj je 20-godišnji kninski atletičar pobijedio u skoku u dalj s rezultatom 8,04 čime je postao tek četvrti Hrvat u povijesti koji je skočio osam metara i dalje. Taj je rezultat “u dlaku” isti skočio čak dvaput, a pobijedio je i u utrkama na 100 i 200 metara. Potvrdio je time svoj raskošni talent, ali odličan rezultat u svjetskim okvirina u skoku u dalj lansirao ga je eto sve do Stockholma.

- Sve mi je nekako čudno, prije mjesec dana nitko me nije spominjao, a sada me svi zivkaju - kazao je u razgovoru za “Slobodnu” Marko Čeko.

Jednim je rezultatom, ali zapravo dugogodišnjim napornim i marljivim radom, postao zvjezda. I sada se čeka da zasja i pod skandinavskim nebom. Njegova je disciplina na rasporedu u 15 sati i 14 minuta. Knin je na nogama, čekaju da vide koliko će njihov ljubimac skočiti sada.

Može li do rezultata koji bi bio olimpijska norma za Tokio koja iznosi 8,22 metra? Bilo bi to predivno, novo nevjerojatno poglavlje u najljepšoj atetskoj “korona-priči” do sada. Norme se “otključavaju” tek 1. studenog, ali bilo bi lijepo da Marko pokaže da je tu negdje. A samo centimetar dalje “sletio” je davno i Siniša Ergotić, na 8,23, to je i dalje hrvatski rekord, odavno nije bio ovako ugrožen.

Marko Čeko, atletičar iz Knina, konačno će i nastupiti na mitingu Dijamantne lige, na velikoj sceni. Čeko je ujedno i jedini hrvatski predstavnik u Stockholmu. A kako je on uopće došao na startnu listu jednog od najvećih svjetskih mitinga?
