Rak mokraćnog mjehura nije toliko čest kao rak pluća, prostate, debelog crijeva ili dojke, no to ne znači da se ne događa. Rak mokraćnog mjehura predstavlja 5 posto ukupne incidencije od malignih bolesti kod muškaraca te 2 posto kod žena u Hrvatskoj, otprilike kao i u ostatku svijeta, a to nisu male brojke. Stoga su stručnjaci britanskog Nacionalnog zdravstvenog sustava upozorili na simptome na koje treba obratiti pažnju te što treba poduzeti ako se takvi simptomi uoče, piše Živim.

Najčešći simptom raka mokraćnog mjehura je krv u mokraći. Iako je to posve bezbolno, u mokraći možete uočiti crvene mrlje ili krv može obojiti mokraću u smeđu boju. No krv u mokraći nije uvijek vidljiva i može se pojavljivati i nestajati. Ostali simptomi raka mokraćnog mjehura su neuobičajeni. Jedan primjer je dizurija, odnosno bol pri mokrenju ili osjećaj peckanja tijekom mokrenja. Dizurija, nažalost, nije jedini neuobičajeni simptom raka mokraćnog mjehura. Ostali, manje česti simptomi su:

- iznenadan nagon na mokrenje

- učestali nagon na mokrenje

A ako se rak raširi, može izazvati simptome poput:

- boli u zdjelici

- bol u kostima

- nenamjerni gubitak tjelesne težine

- oticanje nogu

Primijetite li krv u mokraći, čak i ako je to samo povremeno, trebali biste odmah otići svom liječniku kako bi vas mogao uputiti na potrebne pretrage koje će otkriti uzrok, savjetuju stručnjaci britanskog Nacionalnog zdravstvenog sustava. Naime, iako krv u mokraći može biti znak raka mokraćnog mjehura, postoje i drugi mogući uzroci te pojave, poput:

- infekcije mokraćnog trakta

- infekcije bubrega

- bubrežni kamenci

- negonokokni uretritis (upala uretre)

- povećana prostata

Kad je riječ o mogućim uzrocima raka mokraćnog mjehura, stručnjaci britanskog Nacionalnog zdravstvenog sustava navode pušenje, izloženost kemikalijama, kao i niz drugih mogućih uzroka. Među njima je pušenje najznačajniji faktor, tvrde stručnjaci objašnjavajući da je razlog to što duhan sadrži kemikalije koje uzrokuju rak, takozvane karcinogene kemikalije.

- Pušite li mnogo godina, te kemikalije ulaze u vaš krvotok i bubrezi ih filtriraju u mokraću. Mokraćni mjehur je stoga stalno iznova izložen tim štetnim kemikalijama s obzirom na to da je u njemu „pohranjena” mokraća. To može uzrokovati promjene u stanicama sluznice mokraćnog mjehura, a to onda može dovesti do razvoja raka. Procjenjuje se da je pušenje uzrok više od trećine slučajeva raka mokraćnog mjehura. Pušači imaju više od četiri puta veći rizik za razvoj ove vrste raka nego nepušači, piše Živim.

Ostali rizični faktori uključuju:

- radioterapiju

- prethodna liječenja kemoterapijom

- liječenje dijabetesa tip 2

- dugotrajne ili opetovane infekcije mokraćnog trakta

- dugotrajne kamence u mokraćnom mjehuru

- neliječenu bilharziju

Rak mokraćnog mjehura nije toliko čest kao rak pluća, prostate, debelog crijeva ili dojke, no to ne znači da se ne događa. Rak mokraćnog mjehura predstavlja 5 posto ukupne incidencije od malignih bolesti kod muškaraca te 2 posto kod žena u Hrvatskoj, otprilike kao i u ostatku svijeta, a to nisu male brojke. Stoga su stručnjaci britanskog Nacionalnog zdravstvenog sustava upozorili na simptome na koje treba obratiti pažnju te što treba poduzeti ako se takvi simptomi uoče, piše Živim.

Najčešći simptom raka mokraćnog mjehura je krv u mokraći. Iako je to posve bezbolno, u mokraći možete uočiti crvene mrlje ili krv može obojiti mokraću u smeđu boju. No krv u mokraći nije uvijek vidljiva i može se pojavljivati i nestajati. Ostali simptomi raka mokraćnog mjehura su neuobičajeni. Jedan primjer je dizurija, odnosno bol pri mokrenju ili osjećaj peckanja tijekom mokrenja. Dizurija, nažalost, nije jedini neuobičajeni simptom raka mokraćnog mjehura. Ostali, manje česti simptomi su:

- iznenadan nagon na mokrenje

- učestali nagon na mokrenje

A ako se rak raširi, može izazvati simptome poput:

- boli u zdjelici

- bol u kostima

- nenamjerni gubitak tjelesne težine

- oticanje nogu

Kada potražiti pomoć?

Primijetite li krv u mokraći, čak i ako je to samo povremeno, trebali biste odmah otići svom liječniku kako bi vas mogao uputiti na potrebne pretrage koje će otkriti uzrok, savjetuju stručnjaci britanskog Nacionalnog zdravstvenog sustava. Naime, iako krv u mokraći može biti znak raka mokraćnog mjehura, postoje i drugi mogući uzroci te pojave, poput:

- infekcije mokraćnog trakta

- infekcije bubrega

- bubrežni kamenci

- negonokokni uretritis (upala uretre)

- povećana prostata

Kad je riječ o mogućim uzrocima raka mokraćnog mjehura, stručnjaci britanskog Nacionalnog zdravstvenog sustava navode pušenje, izloženost kemikalijama, kao i niz drugih mogućih uzroka. Među njima je pušenje najznačajniji faktor, tvrde stručnjaci objašnjavajući da je razlog to što duhan sadrži kemikalije koje uzrokuju rak, takozvane karcinogene kemikalije.

- Pušite li mnogo godina, te kemikalije ulaze u vaš krvotok i bubrezi ih filtriraju u mokraću. Mokraćni mjehur je stoga stalno iznova izložen tim štetnim kemikalijama s obzirom na to da je u njemu „pohranjena” mokraća. To može uzrokovati promjene u stanicama sluznice mokraćnog mjehura, a to onda može dovesti do razvoja raka. Procjenjuje se da je pušenje uzrok više od trećine slučajeva raka mokraćnog mjehura. Pušači imaju više od četiri puta veći rizik za razvoj ove vrste raka nego nepušači, piše Živim.

Ostali rizični faktori uključuju:

- radioterapiju

- prethodna liječenja kemoterapijom

- liječenje dijabetesa tip 2

- dugotrajne ili opetovane infekcije mokraćnog trakta

- dugotrajne kamence u mokraćnom mjehuru

- neliječenu bilharziju
