Kad se neki naslov proda u više od 1,2 milijuna primjeraka, i to u zemlji koja ukupno ima 67,5 milijuna stanovnika, teško je reći čiji je uspjeh veći: onaj što ga je ostvario autor ili kultura kojoj pripada.

Svaki 56. piščev zemljak kupio je (ne pročitao, takvih vjerojatno ima puno više jer se knjige, naravno, i posuđuju, nego platio!) primjerak libra. O kolikom se postignuću radi, neka ilustrira i ova usporedba. Neki naš hitmejker morao bi prodati 67 tisuća primjeraka da bi na hrvatskome tržištu ponovio razmjeran uspjeh.

Čovjek koji je poharao blagajne knjižara, isprva u Francuskoj, da bi potom nastavio nizati uspjehe i u drugim zemljama, zove se Hervé Le Tellier, a njegov roman nosi vrlo prikladan naslov, "Anomalija". Da se uistinu radi o jedinstvenom nakladničkom fenomenu, sasvim rijetkom "odstupanju od zakonitosti", kako glasi leksikonska definicija pojma anomalija, posvjedočit će još jedna činjenica. Dotični roman nije ispisan u žanrovskim gabaritima niti se bavi nekom pomodnom ili samo kontroverznom temom koja može zaintrigirati najširu publiku.

Dapače, radi se o štivu koje ponešto (ustvari, pomnogo) duguje dvjema spisateljskim praksama koje nisu ni najmanje simpatične milijunima. Naime, ovaj libar može se, među ostalim, čitati i kao vrlo osebujni križanac između filozofskog ogleda i rasprave o teorijskoj fizici.

Što je, pobogu, posrijedi i kako je Le Tellieru pošlo za rukom iz guste šikare intelektualizma na steroidima izaći ne samo neokrznut, nego i s pobjedničkim osmijehom na licu? Pokušat ću vam objasniti, premda se ne bih kladio da ću u tome uspjeti. Pa da krenemo...

"Anomalija" započinje kao jeftini triler o skupo plaćenom ubojici. Knjige o misterioznim tipovima koji skraćuju živote kao krojači traperice znaju dosegnuti visoke naklade ponegdje u svijetu, ali baš i ne u Francuskoj, čija je publika nešto istančanija i razmaženija, pa uz solidan žanrovski sloj, između korica neke knjige želi pronaći i svojevrsni program plus. Tek što smo se upoznali s tajnovitim killerom, pripovjedač će se prešaltati na još jednog junaka "Anomalije", prevoditelja i pisca kojega kritika umjereno cijeni, a publika pretežno zaobilazi.

Narativni švenk potom će se s njega odmaknuti na filmsku montažerku u vezi, i to ne naročito uspješnoj, s postarijim arhitektom, a s nje na pilota zrakoplova kojemu je dijagnosticiran rak gušterače, pa onda na sedmogodišnju kćer vojnika koji je služio u Afganistanu i Iranu, odvjetnicu koja zastupa veliku farmaceutsku tvrtku...

Tek nakon što nas upozna s desetak osebujnih, nijansirano portretiranih likova, Le Tellier će pokrenuti zamašnjak radnje dostojan neke punokrvne (para)znanstvenofantastične napetice. Avion Air France upast će u nešto nalik milenijskoj oluji, nakon puno drame uspješno se izvući iz nje, te sletjeti u zračnu luku John F. Kennedy. Tri mjeseca kasnije, radari će još jednom opaziti isti taj avion s istim putnicima.

Ovoga puta zrakoplov će sletjeti u vojnu bazu. Kako objasniti fenomen da su se i letjelica i njezini putnici umnožili, da sada sve postoji puta dva? Može li se ono što je i dalje isto, samo što sada egzistira u originalu i doslovnoj kopiji, poslije svega smatrati istim. Ako može, koliko dugo?

Tko je uopće izvornik, a tko njegova tri mjeseca zakasnjela replika? Koje su sve etičke, društvene, pa ako hoćete i socijalne odnosno ekonomske posljedice ovoga meteža? Tko ima pravo na kontinuitet dosadašnjeg života, a tko se mora zadovoljiti novim početkom?

Na ta i cijeli niz drugih ne manje složenih pitanja pokušat će odgovoriti friško mobilizirani eksperti iz mnogih područja, u rasponu od fizičara i matematičara, preko psihologa i sociologa, pa sve do teologa i vjerskih poglavara. Dok oni budu tražili odgovore, životi naših junaka koji su se u međuvremenu umnožili nastavit će teći nepredviđenim smjerovima.

Sav taj narativni karusel pokrenut će se tek na 119. stranici romana. Da je Le Tellier htio napisati žanrovski preciznu priču, ova bi ga okolnost teško kompromitirala, jer potrošiti cijelu trećinu rukopisa samo na definiranje karaktera i mizanscene naprosto nije dobar posao. No, zaigrani Francuz nije se htio pokoriti bilo kojoj žanrovskoj matrici, ali se rado i uspješno poigrao s nekoliko popularnih špranci trivijalne proze. Konačni rezultat šarmantni je kartezijanski libar koji se s elegantnom lakoćom bavi teškim pitanjem identiteta.

Le Tellier zaslužuje komplimente, a francuska publika divljenje. Mora da je lijepo i zanimljivo živjeti u zemlji čiji je svaki 56. stanovnik kupio ovu knjigu.

Kad se neki naslov proda u više od 1,2 milijuna primjeraka, i to u zemlji koja ukupno ima 67,5 milijuna stanovnika, teško je reći čiji je uspjeh veći: onaj što ga je ostvario autor ili kultura kojoj pripada.

Svaki 56. piščev zemljak kupio je (ne pročitao, takvih vjerojatno ima puno više jer se knjige, naravno, i posuđuju, nego platio!) primjerak libra. O kolikom se postignuću radi, neka ilustrira i ova usporedba. Neki naš hitmejker morao bi prodati 67 tisuća primjeraka da bi na hrvatskome tržištu ponovio razmjeran uspjeh.

Čovjek koji je poharao blagajne knjižara, isprva u Francuskoj, da bi potom nastavio nizati uspjehe i u drugim zemljama, zove se Hervé Le Tellier, a njegov roman nosi vrlo prikladan naslov, "Anomalija". Da se uistinu radi o jedinstvenom nakladničkom fenomenu, sasvim rijetkom "odstupanju od zakonitosti", kako glasi leksikonska definicija pojma anomalija, posvjedočit će još jedna činjenica. Dotični roman nije ispisan u žanrovskim gabaritima niti se bavi nekom pomodnom ili samo kontroverznom temom koja može zaintrigirati najširu publiku.

Dapače, radi se o štivu koje ponešto (ustvari, pomnogo) duguje dvjema spisateljskim praksama koje nisu ni najmanje simpatične milijunima. Naime, ovaj libar može se, među ostalim, čitati i kao vrlo osebujni križanac između filozofskog ogleda i rasprave o teorijskoj fizici.

Što je, pobogu, posrijedi i kako je Le Tellieru pošlo za rukom iz guste šikare intelektualizma na steroidima izaći ne samo neokrznut, nego i s pobjedničkim osmijehom na licu? Pokušat ću vam objasniti, premda se ne bih kladio da ću u tome uspjeti. Pa da krenemo...

"Anomalija" započinje kao jeftini triler o skupo plaćenom ubojici. Knjige o misterioznim tipovima koji skraćuju živote kao krojači traperice znaju dosegnuti visoke naklade ponegdje u svijetu, ali baš i ne u Francuskoj, čija je publika nešto istančanija i razmaženija, pa uz solidan žanrovski sloj, između korica neke knjige želi pronaći i svojevrsni program plus. Tek što smo se upoznali s tajnovitim killerom, pripovjedač će se prešaltati na još jednog junaka "Anomalije", prevoditelja i pisca kojega kritika umjereno cijeni, a publika pretežno zaobilazi.

Narativni švenk potom će se s njega odmaknuti na filmsku montažerku u vezi, i to ne naročito uspješnoj, s postarijim arhitektom, a s nje na pilota zrakoplova kojemu je dijagnosticiran rak gušterače, pa onda na sedmogodišnju kćer vojnika koji je služio u Afganistanu i Iranu, odvjetnicu koja zastupa veliku farmaceutsku tvrtku...

Tek nakon što nas upozna s desetak osebujnih, nijansirano portretiranih likova, Le Tellier će pokrenuti zamašnjak radnje dostojan neke punokrvne (para)znanstvenofantastične napetice. Avion Air France upast će u nešto nalik milenijskoj oluji, nakon puno drame uspješno se izvući iz nje, te sletjeti u zračnu luku John F. Kennedy. Tri mjeseca kasnije, radari će još jednom opaziti isti taj avion s istim putnicima.

Ovoga puta zrakoplov će sletjeti u vojnu bazu. Kako objasniti fenomen da su se i letjelica i njezini putnici umnožili, da sada sve postoji puta dva? Može li se ono što je i dalje isto, samo što sada egzistira u originalu i doslovnoj kopiji, poslije svega smatrati istim. Ako može, koliko dugo?

Tko je uopće izvornik, a tko njegova tri mjeseca zakasnjela replika? Koje su sve etičke, društvene, pa ako hoćete i socijalne odnosno ekonomske posljedice ovoga meteža? Tko ima pravo na kontinuitet dosadašnjeg života, a tko se mora zadovoljiti novim početkom?

Na ta i cijeli niz drugih ne manje složenih pitanja pokušat će odgovoriti friško mobilizirani eksperti iz mnogih područja, u rasponu od fizičara i matematičara, preko psihologa i sociologa, pa sve do teologa i vjerskih poglavara. Dok oni budu tražili odgovore, životi naših junaka koji su se u međuvremenu umnožili nastavit će teći nepredviđenim smjerovima.

Sav taj narativni karusel pokrenut će se tek na 119. stranici romana. Da je Le Tellier htio napisati žanrovski preciznu priču, ova bi ga okolnost teško kompromitirala, jer potrošiti cijelu trećinu rukopisa samo na definiranje karaktera i mizanscene naprosto nije dobar posao. No, zaigrani Francuz nije se htio pokoriti bilo kojoj žanrovskoj matrici, ali se rado i uspješno poigrao s nekoliko popularnih špranci trivijalne proze. Konačni rezultat šarmantni je kartezijanski libar koji se s elegantnom lakoćom bavi teškim pitanjem identiteta.

Le Tellier zaslužuje komplimente, a francuska publika divljenje. Mora da je lijepo i zanimljivo živjeti u zemlji čiji je svaki 56. stanovnik kupio ovu knjigu.
