Zvučni filmovi s virtualnog 18. ZFF-a polako dolaze u hrvatska singl-kina, gdje im je i mjesto, dakle na velikom ekranu, ne "online". Nakon "Undine" Christiana Petzolda, kinoprojektori su počeli vrtjeti i novi film Gabrielea Muccina, također iz ZFF-ova programa "Velikih 5", fokusiranog na pet najvećih europskih kinematografija – Francuske, Italije, Njemačke, Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva i Španjolske.

Film se zove "Najljepše godine" ("Gli anni più belli"/"The Best Years"), u Splitu igra u kinu "Karaman" i predstavlja Muccinov povratak u formu nakon nekoliko ne odveć inspirativnih filmskih sezona ("Summertime", "There's No Place Like Home"). Za talijanskog redatelja filmski svijet je čuo prije ubrzo okruglih 20 godina, 2001., kad je snimio romantičnu dramu "Posljednji poljubac" koja se dobacila do Toronta i Sundancea.

Hollywood je solidno "rimejkao" Muccinov "L'ultimo bacio" u "The Last Kiss" i nezaboravno ga ozvučio Coldplayem ("Warning Sign"), ukazavši na redateljev međunarodni potencijal. I Muccino je, očekivano, debitirao u američkoj kinematografiji/na engleskom jeziku snimivši drame "U potrazi za srećom" i "Sedam duša", obje s hollywoodskom megazvijezdom Willom Smithom u glavnoj ulozi.

Zadržao se Muccino još neko vrijeme u Hollywoodu i snimao sa zvijezdama/oskarovcima (Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman, Dennis Quaid, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Kruger), ali filmovi "Playing for Keeps" i "Fathers&Daughters" nisu ponovili uspjeh njegove prve i najbolje suradnje sa Smithom. Povratak u Italiju bio je pitanje vremena i s povratkom korijenima se napokon vratila i inspiracija u "Najljepšim godinama".

"The Best Years" je još jedan dobar Muccinov film, njegov ponajbolji uz/iza "The Last Kiss", a svakako najambiciozniji. Priča pokriva golemi vremenski period od čak 40 godina (1980.- 2020.), kronicirajući živote trojice najboljih prijatelja i jedne djevojke od tinejdžerskih godina nadalje, njihova zaljubljivanja, ljubavna razočaranja, zaposlenja, ženidbe, rastave...

Usponi i padovi četvorke odvijaju se na široj, povijesnoj pozornici događaja koji su mijenjali ili potresali Italiju i svijet, od Olovnih godina, do Pada Berlinskog zida, od 11. rujna 2001., do formiranja Pokreta 5 zvijezda. Prijatelje upoznajemo kao 16-godišnjake, oni su Giulio, Paolo i Riccardo (Francesco Centorame, Andrea Pittorino, Matteo De Buono). Djevojka je Gemma (Alma Noce) koja će postati Paolova cura, kasnije i Giuliova.

Nevinost mladosti i epohe osamdesetih lijepo je dočarana plesom na Imaginationovu "Just An Illusion", dočekom nove godine i sentišom na "Dreams", hit-pjesmu iz čuvenog tinejdžerskog filma "Tulum" sa Sophie Marceau, a ulazak u svijet odraslih naviješten je "olovnim" prosvjedima.

U tom svijetu prijatelje koji postaju odvjetnici, profesori i filmski novinari, gube kontakt i ponovno ga ostvaruju, igraju Pierfrancesco Favino, Kim Rossi Stuart i Claudio Santamaria, dok Paolovu tihu patnju Gemmu, sve razapetiju između njega i Giulija, utjelovljuje Micaela Ramazzotti.

Muccino je pronašao nadahnuće u klasiku "Toliko smo se voljeli" Ettorea Scole iz 1974. koji je osuvremenio pozicioniravši radnju u modernije doba i igrajući se s postmodernim, pa likovi povremeno razbijaju takozvani četvrti zid i obraćaju se kameri pričajući svoju priču u prvom licu.

Općenito, Muccino se napaja na vrelu talijanske kinematografije kao i Scola, citirajući Fellinijev "Amarcord" ("Želim ženu, dovraga!") i "Slatki život" (fontana di Trevi; "Samo Mastroianni nedostaje"). Gorka slatkoća Fellinijevih remek-djela je, ipak, ponešto zaslađenija budući da je Muccino zamislio "Najljepše godine" kao "feel good movie" koji će razvedriti publiku, što ga čini samo festivalski i repertoarno potrebnijim ove "feel bad" godine.

Film je i postavljen negdje između festivalske i "mainstream" kinematografije, s iskreni(ji)m nagnućem potonjoj. Svakako, Muccino je orkestrirao par režijsko-montažnih scena za pamćenje, poput vjenčanja ozvučena s "Don't You Forget About Me" Simple Mindsa. U sjećanju će najviše ostati Gemmin trk kroz vrijeme za vječnost. Gemma prolazi gotovo cijeli svoj život penjući se uz stepenice od adolescencije do sredovječja i samog vrhunca filma.

Zvučni filmovi s virtualnog 18. ZFF-a polako dolaze u hrvatska singl-kina, gdje im je i mjesto, dakle na velikom ekranu, ne "online". Nakon "Undine" Christiana Petzolda, kinoprojektori su počeli vrtjeti i novi film Gabrielea Muccina, također iz ZFF-ova programa "Velikih 5", fokusiranog na pet najvećih europskih kinematografija – Francuske, Italije, Njemačke, Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva i Španjolske.

Film se zove "Najljepše godine" ("Gli anni più belli"/"The Best Years"), u Splitu igra u kinu "Karaman" i predstavlja Muccinov povratak u formu nakon nekoliko ne odveć inspirativnih filmskih sezona ("Summertime", "There's No Place Like Home"). Za talijanskog redatelja filmski svijet je čuo prije ubrzo okruglih 20 godina, 2001., kad je snimio romantičnu dramu "Posljednji poljubac" koja se dobacila do Toronta i Sundancea.

Hollywood je solidno "rimejkao" Muccinov "L'ultimo bacio" u "The Last Kiss" i nezaboravno ga ozvučio Coldplayem ("Warning Sign"), ukazavši na redateljev međunarodni potencijal. I Muccino je, očekivano, debitirao u američkoj kinematografiji/na engleskom jeziku snimivši drame "U potrazi za srećom" i "Sedam duša", obje s hollywoodskom megazvijezdom Willom Smithom u glavnoj ulozi.

Zadržao se Muccino još neko vrijeme u Hollywoodu i snimao sa zvijezdama/oskarovcima (Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman, Dennis Quaid, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Kruger), ali filmovi "Playing for Keeps" i "Fathers&Daughters" nisu ponovili uspjeh njegove prve i najbolje suradnje sa Smithom. Povratak u Italiju bio je pitanje vremena i s povratkom korijenima se napokon vratila i inspiracija u "Najljepšim godinama".

"The Best Years" je još jedan dobar Muccinov film, njegov ponajbolji uz/iza "The Last Kiss", a svakako najambiciozniji. Priča pokriva golemi vremenski period od čak 40 godina (1980.- 2020.), kronicirajući živote trojice najboljih prijatelja i jedne djevojke od tinejdžerskih godina nadalje, njihova zaljubljivanja, ljubavna razočaranja, zaposlenja, ženidbe, rastave...

Usponi i padovi četvorke odvijaju se na široj, povijesnoj pozornici događaja koji su mijenjali ili potresali Italiju i svijet, od Olovnih godina, do Pada Berlinskog zida, od 11. rujna 2001., do formiranja Pokreta 5 zvijezda. Prijatelje upoznajemo kao 16-godišnjake, oni su Giulio, Paolo i Riccardo (Francesco Centorame, Andrea Pittorino, Matteo De Buono). Djevojka je Gemma (Alma Noce) koja će postati Paolova cura, kasnije i Giuliova.

Nevinost mladosti i epohe osamdesetih lijepo je dočarana plesom na Imaginationovu "Just An Illusion", dočekom nove godine i sentišom na "Dreams", hit-pjesmu iz čuvenog tinejdžerskog filma "Tulum" sa Sophie Marceau, a ulazak u svijet odraslih naviješten je "olovnim" prosvjedima.

U tom svijetu prijatelje koji postaju odvjetnici, profesori i filmski novinari, gube kontakt i ponovno ga ostvaruju, igraju Pierfrancesco Favino, Kim Rossi Stuart i Claudio Santamaria, dok Paolovu tihu patnju Gemmu, sve razapetiju između njega i Giulija, utjelovljuje Micaela Ramazzotti.

Muccino je pronašao nadahnuće u klasiku "Toliko smo se voljeli" Ettorea Scole iz 1974. koji je osuvremenio pozicioniravši radnju u modernije doba i igrajući se s postmodernim, pa likovi povremeno razbijaju takozvani četvrti zid i obraćaju se kameri pričajući svoju priču u prvom licu.

Općenito, Muccino se napaja na vrelu talijanske kinematografije kao i Scola, citirajući Fellinijev "Amarcord" ("Želim ženu, dovraga!") i "Slatki život" (fontana di Trevi; "Samo Mastroianni nedostaje"). Gorka slatkoća Fellinijevih remek-djela je, ipak, ponešto zaslađenija budući da je Muccino zamislio "Najljepše godine" kao "feel good movie" koji će razvedriti publiku, što ga čini samo festivalski i repertoarno potrebnijim ove "feel bad" godine.

Film je i postavljen negdje između festivalske i "mainstream" kinematografije, s iskreni(ji)m nagnućem potonjoj. Svakako, Muccino je orkestrirao par režijsko-montažnih scena za pamćenje, poput vjenčanja ozvučena s "Don't You Forget About Me" Simple Mindsa. U sjećanju će najviše ostati Gemmin trk kroz vrijeme za vječnost. Gemma prolazi gotovo cijeli svoj život penjući se uz stepenice od adolescencije do sredovječja i samog vrhunca filma.
